2008 Ram Driver Seat Repair - Part 1 - Seat Removal

In this video series, I will tackle the repair of the driver's seat in my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 truck to correct an issue that prevented the seat tilt mechanism from functioning properly. I will also replace the lower seat cushion and seat cover in the process.

Do you know of a way to move the drivers seat further back? I am 6'9" tall and I would like to move the drivers side seat back. Normally I would just get some 1 1/2 x 1/4 thick metal and drill new holes and bolt down the seat, But the dodge has vertical connectors on the front of the track attached to the seat. If I were to move the tracks back I would not have any way to bolt down the front and the front of the seat would be about 3" higher. Is there any way to move the seat back on the track?

Why did you have to replace the back? There isn’t a simpler fix?
