Extremely valuable to see this part of your process. Nothing more frustrating than to see an artist start from existing sketch. It's kind of like "you can be a millionaire like me...first, get a million dollars..."
Lovely video as always, Sara. It was interesting to hear about what parts of your videos you end up cutting out- I love all your relaxing sketching content, but I found myself more conscious of your trial and error, which was definitely helpful to see! I tucked into some math hw during this video and was surprised to be able to focus on both. Happy election day!
Hullo Sara, I enjoy seeing a painting develop I have never been one of those who second guess the artist even if I disagree with their methods, as they are your methods not mine, I watch you to see you work and to see if I can learn something new to me! Your a wonderful Artist and a lovely person. I have watched you develop for quite a while now and I am so excited for your success! Please keep sharing your journey with us!
I just finished the cat video & was milliseconds away from clicking the Kamala one so I was so confused when the next recommended video suddenly changed to this one. I've never seen that happen before. Edit: No seeing you erase wasn't at all frustrating. I totally get it's part of the process. It was interesting hearing why you chose plain over colored graphite. I'm really looking forward to being able to confidently draw whatever I want. It was helpful hearing I WILL get there cause I'm following a similar path. I know the rules. I just need practice.
Most people want to see full sketching processes - warts and all. People are so used to sped up and edited videos, that I feel it gives a false representation of how much time and labor creating a piece like this takes. Showing the erasing makes me feel better about having to erase a thousand times lol.
Actually it is quite refreshing to see the mistakes and the corrections because so many artists don’t show themselves making mistakes. Showing this helps people not feel pressured to be perfect especially when they are first starting out drawing and painting. I often comment that say “ oh this is super easy” makes beginners feel like failures if they can’t achieve the same results. Thank you so much for sharing this. 💖

I LOVED seeing you erase! It shows us you’re human just like us and that you don’t create a perfect piece in one shot 🤓❤️
It’s never perfect :,) I delete dozens of recording files that don’t make the cut!!
Your nails look so good in this video
these tips are incredible, thank you so much for sharing 😊😊

Recently got back into watercolor so this video is right on time 😅❤
Thanks for sharing! I recently asked you how you create your spreads so I'm very glad you made this video and it was very helpful :)!
Beautiful sketches (and nails) as always 💖 I didn't know they made glitter watercolor paper and I'll be buying that in bulk from now on lol
