    Did you make sure that you have two 8 pin cables coming from the PSU? Using one cable that branches into two 8 pins is dangerous since that isn't enough power for the 3070ti

      I just ordered my 3070 ti. I called Rosewill the PSU customer support and Evga customer support. both of them said daisy chain is fine. the EGVA customer support guy even said his own 3070 in his personal PC is daisy chained. im new to building PC. im upgrading my GPU for the first time. so i wanted make sure. half the people online says 2 cable other half says 1 is fine.
      plus Im having diffculty finding a PCI-e cable thats compatible with Rosewill PSU. since apparently crossing brands wires can mess your system up. there is a lot of confusion for a new builders. i would hope youtube tech gurus would make more videos and guide about this stuff.

      @Krombopulos T That's false, whoever told you that. A dual 8 pin daisychain cable is only rated for 150W. Your PCIE slot only gives 75. That is nowhere near enough power for a 3070TI and the cable is not rated high enough to withstand the power. You can either take your chances or just be safe with your investment. The instructions that come with the card also shows a diagram that daisy chaining is a big No-No. But do as you please. If you want, you can look up what can happen if you daisychain. Also, you need to keep in mind that there are spikes in power. That will be able to melt your cables and potentially set fire to your PC. If you want to cheap out just because you don't want to use an extra cable and brick your card, that's on you. Also, I seriously doubt an EVGA rep told you that. If they did, they messed up.
      The rule of thumb is for each slot, you need to use an individual cable. There's a reason for this but like I said, if you want to take your chances, good luck. 👍

    i have a cable that has 12 pins on psu and the cable branches into 8 pin and a 6+2 daisy chain...is this enough to power 3070ti?
    edit my psu is xfx pro 1000w.

    Isn't that crazy, you had to wait 2 years to get it and I just ordered one today March 25th, 2022 directly from EVGA store and will get it on Sunday 27th or Monday 28th.
    It seems that GPU shortage is finally going away as for example BestBuy has items in stock all the time although might not all be available in every store and are mostly the higher priced cards but still.
    Anyways I hope I will be equally happy with the new card than you are, thanks for the video.

    Hi, thanks for the video! I just bought and install this video card. I have a question: when you turn on the computer, does the fan begin to spin or it will just sit idle? Mine is not spinning when I turn on the computer, but RGB light is on, and everything is working just fine. Most people did not check the fan and see if it is spinning because it is facing down. Will you check yours? Thank you!

      Hey, Incase you haven't found out yet GPU fans wont turn on until the card has exceeded a certain Temperature! Thats why your fans dont turn on right away.

    pls are you using the same 1 cable that branches into 8 and 6+2 pci-e and does it work fine? iam in the same situation as you and i don't want to just buy another psu for notting

    • @averypetersen7099
      @averypetersen7099 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the double cable draws the same amount of power. If anyone tells you to use two cables it’s a myth, the daisy chain can deliver 300w

  • @DXCXV
    @DXCXV 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It’s recommended by seasonic that if your gpu pulls more than 220w not to pigtail your gpu. Instead use two dedicated 8 pin pcie cables to power the gpu. I believe this gpu specifically pulls 290w.

      I hate how all these new gpus use that design. I will never buy one that uses the pigtail design

    Did u get it on amazon for $770? I did last week, still waiting for it to ship. Hopefully they don't cancel the order. And i work at amazon so i got a nice 10% discount so i saved like 70 bucks. Came out to 740 in total with taxes. Been wanting a 3070 for years. Is this card 4k60 capable?

    • @Pingaheimer
      @Pingaheimer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @boomy098 no that it won't do 4k60 or that u didn't get it on amazon?

    Just wondering why you are running Hyperium, a depricated client, which is not the greatest for FPS, compared to more newer clients, such as Feather Client & Lunar Client.

    Your actually meant to have an 850w PSU as iv paid for one today and iv been told by a computer professional it's needing a 850w PSU as it's recommended on the box as well lol I'm not a big computer geek or professional but I'd rather go with the recommendations on the box just in case because also you get random voltage spikes when doing heavy load but overall it looks really good and can't wait to get mine in the morning 🥹

    • @bubhub10
      @bubhub10  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've done my research and 750w was more than enough. Further I've had this long enough with no issues what so ever
