Meeting our host families | JAPAN DAY 6

  • Yay multiple uploads. This was so fun, actually seeing the way japanese students learnt and studied. Also i didn't film walking into the hall but we had no idea what was going to happen and thats why we were kind of freaking out during that whole thing.
    Regarding how I managed to go to Japan and be a foreign exchange student, my school has a really good connection with our sister schools in Japan so my insanely dedicated teachers organised the for our whole year 10 class to go on this trip. Some of my friends did go through exchange programs though and they had a great time.

      Same they can afford inviting other people from different (sorry I spelled it wrong) countries which cost around $1000 or $2000 and then they can't afford for us.....school fees is like $3000 dollars and we have more than 100 people so the should be able to Atleast

      truetruth Blue You should it's a brilliant experience!
      I doubt they would treat you unfairly or discriminate horribly, they are some of the most polite people. You may however get a few odd looks from some individuals, particularly young children as there are not that many black people over there or on their tv's. This will probably just be curiosity though and you shouldn't let it worry you :)

      +libs I. How long does it take you to get ready for an exchange student to Japan?
      I wanted that so desperately when I was a 17 year old, because of my friend has that only for a year, before meeting her the first time when she was 20 we first met and now I'm 27, I badly want a seifuku uniform experience and being in a high school that I never went to as a teen, can you still do it in your 20s or 30s?

    Did you go with your school or did you go with an exchange program? If you went with an exchange program, which one did you go with? (I'm trying to choose an exchange program because my school doesn't offer anything.)

    • @c.nk.01
      @c.nk.01 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't personally know any, but a lot have recommended ASSE and EF, as well as YFU.

    • @rinnychan8
      @rinnychan8 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Chloe Kintner oh yes, I'm with YFU right now for a 6 week summer exchange (which is ending in 4 days from now) in Japan, and I can say that I made a good choice going with YFU. The staff is so helpful and they know what they're doing because they're veterans at this.
      Lots of people recommend AFS or Rotary though (I was going to go for AFS myself, but they didn't offer a school experience unlike YFU did, so I didn't go for it)

    • @c.nk.01
      @c.nk.01 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      rinnychan8 Yeah. My father's contemplating signing me up for exchange in Japan, so I'll probably recommend YFU for him.

    • @ren3171
      @ren3171 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      How about RYE (Rotary Youth Exchange) how do they compare to YFU in your thoughts?

    • @rinnychan8
      @rinnychan8 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ren Kaaoi from what I've heard from friends and blogs, going with Rotary is cheaper, but it's so much harder to apply for and the communication isn't very good. Requirements are also a little stricter in comparison to other programs.

    I have badly wanted to go to Japan as an exchange student when I was seventeen when I first time heard about it I never knew of from a one time friend I have met her when she was 20 years old, cus she had a student exchange to Japan for a year, but now I'm twenty-seven, have anybody like in your 20s or 30s still go to an exchange student to experience going to a Japanese high school and wear a seifuku uniform you can still try at all when you never heard or never got to been to exchange student as a teenager in Japan, please answer me?
    And also I'm envious the girl was eating wagashi and I never have, I want to eat a wagashi for the first time so bad!
    Also how long does it take to get all the money to go to an exchange student to Japan for a year, because I have a learning disability and never got to easily adjust to math I'm bad at money, but I draw and that, I wonder if my drawing skills with my super ideas would make me win an exchange student this year I wished so in an art show?!

    specifically related to Korea and Japan. We wanted to let you know that
    it would be an honor if we were allowed to post some of your videos which are related to Japan like this video
    since they're really amazing and will entertain a lot of our fans. We apologize if this offends you but the actual benefit
    for you is that when we upload anyone's video on Facebook, it
    automatically plays on their newsfeed unless they're techies that can
    disable autoplay on videos. If we would only share your link, then most
    people won't click on it.
    Also, our goal is to help promote TH-cam channels much more than just the TH-cam community. That is why
    we would love to put up your videos. And we will never claim all of those videos are ours. And every once a month,
    we will share your instagram and other social media pages as well to promote them.
    We always put up the source link and tag their facebook page whenever we post someone's video. Please
    let us know what you think and if you don't want us to post your
    content, we'll simply not post them at all.
    Thank you for your time.
    Best regards
