You can definitely apply with a low score, whether or not you get selected for the MEXT depends on your overall application. I would suggest focusing on your research theme, find out relevant labs, mention in your application how you plan to connect your current research with future work in Japan. Di do you need to take a drop for mext after 12 because the results are published in january next year isnt there any other way like joining a college and if i clear mext enroll directly into 2nd yr in japan for btech
Hi, You don't need to drop after 12th grade. The application requires your most recent grades i.e. grades in your first term of school examination probably. You can take a gap year, if you wish but you wouldn't be admitted directly to 2nd year of college. You would still have to complete 4 years of bachelors degree here. Hope this helps!

2.If yes,what shall i put in my percentage,average of past three semesters or individual scores?
3.I do not have research experienece,what shall i put in the abstracts?Did you have prior research experience in your undergard?
4.Is 75%good enough?(Its the best at my uni with me being the topper)
5.I have certain certifications like Olympiads,country level science camp and certified edx courses?Are these okay?
Hi,
1. Yes, you can still apply while you are in college. It takes 6-12 months for the whole process.
2. You need to mention your cumulative grade point
3. I did have some research experience but you can mention your related projects or undergraduate courses, internships, etc.
4. I can't comment on what percentage is good enough as it depends on the number of people applying that year.
5. Yes, if there is a section provided, you should mention your achievments.

do i still need to have a research theme and have a research subject or whatever if i'm applying for undergrad/bachelors and not masters? like if i've just graduated highschool and want to apply for undergrad uni, what do i have to prepare for the interview?
For bachelor's, you don't need a research theme. Usually, you decide it when you come here as thesis is a part of last year curriculum for undergraduate students.
Can u please guide about uni entrance exam as i have to pass it but don't have idea about format or what type of qs they will ask? Btw i got acceptance letter from Professor also had an interview with her plz rply
Congratulations! Sorry, the exam was cancelled becaused of covid-19 when I applied but you can find previous year question papers on the website. This will help you prepare.
Hey hi i just completed my bachelor's degree in computer science and wanted to study in japan and i am also interested in applying for mext scholarship under research program but i have not taken eju/any Japanese language exam is it ok? , i am a average student so if i get thought mext do i need to study hard like here in india or the quality of education is like any other Western countries i mean like little bit easy compared to India?
@nandakishore383 Knowing Japanese is not compulsory for MEXT but make sure that you show them why you are interested in coming to Japan well. The quality of education is slightly different than India in the way that the focus here is mainly on your research instead of just theory classes.

Where did you give your entrance exam for MEXT? And also students from which states can apply for MEXT?
Hi,
The entrance was cancelled at my time due to Covid-19. Anyone from any state can apply for MEXT. After you clear the screening round, the embassy will email you the details about the next steps (entrance exam, interview, etc).
After getting nomination from mext is it sure to get scholarship.
Or mext rejects candidates?
University told me to wait till june.
If the university has asked to wait, it means that teh results are not out yet. All the best
Mam how to prepare for Mext written test and interview for MBA . I'm currently persuing BBA . I'm a first year student are two years enough to prepare for MEXT for masters ?
@devanshsadavarte1148 I am sorry but I am not sure about MBA very much but you can find the previous year question paper on the website of MEXT and start preparing for the written test. As for the interview, the basic points are the same as shown in the video.
I have done my Masters in English literature and since my bachelors was in Biology, i want to pursue Masters in Biotech too. Would they have any problem with gap years ?🤧
@Dbhdhxjdhd Thank you for the question. They generally would ask you about the gap year and if the reason is genuine and if you show that you have grown in that year, they would not mind it.

well didi i currently reached 12th standard and i scored 64% in 11th and i scored 85% in 10th . i have not completed by 12 years of schooling as i am in the 12th year rn so can i apply for undergraduate to get mext scholarship and study in japan in 2025 ! am i eligible ?
Yes, you can still apply for MEXT while you're in school or college as it takes around 6-12 months for the whole process.

If you apply for a bachelor's degree, then yes. For masters, they take into account your bachelor's GPA.

The application form and the health certificate should be handwritten filled or computired filled ??....

I am not sure how important the threshold is but you should definitely apply for the first screening since the application process is entirely free.

Hi, Yes, you should apply in 2024 if you want to come to Japan in 2025. Usually, the application process takes about a year.

Hey, in 2024 we will be in class 12th and if we apply in 2024 for 2025 then how will we able to give our 12th standard marksheet photocopy. Because in application form 12th standard marksheet is required..
So does it mean that, we have to apply in 2025 for 2026?

@@AnuragAryan0303 u can apply for 2025 in 2024 after 12th unless if u turn 18 after reaching japan! And also if u are from cbse then u can write an application giving a statement that as cbse launch the marksheets in mid may i didnt get my marksheets of 12th ! But u hve to give 11th marksheets! Apparently Its depends on Age or If Age is eligible Then just write an application!

@YourAnimePalace Yes, you can. Just make sure that you have the minimum number of years of education (+12 usually means that you do)
My character certificate is unsatisfactory of class 10 .. will this lower my chance for selection in MEXT exam ?

Yes, you need to write a thesis in your final year in undergrad. Therefore, research is needed.
I have a question. Im a 12th student in commerce stream . And i want to continue my further studies in computer science. I have previously taken java in my 9th and 10th class. Right now i have pure math and informatics practices. My question is that will i be facing any difficulties studying CS in japan?

@whokeshav Usually, the university have the professor's email posted on their website. You can email the professor with your proposal and enquiry through that email.

Yes, I did have one but it's not mandatory to have publications.
