54:00 in todays patch they fixed that. they reduced the hitbox size to "zero" when dodging which doesnt make you exactly phase but allows you to squeeze through tiny spaces between mobs. so if there are enough easpecially crowded enemy clusters surounding you might still have a difficult time but it'S not impossible to get out anymore or something like this
"Aaaah you think the internet is you ally ? You merely adopted the web. I was born in it. Molded by it. I didn't see the sunlight until I was already a man, and by then it was nothing to me but blinding" - Josh, probably
The issue was not the quality of the graphics, you had exactly the same problem with all graphics turned to the maximum. If it was a GRAPHICS SETTINGS problem, you would have low FPS on YOUR end, which you don't. If it was a BITRATE problem, there would be a SMEARY PICTURE on stream, the DETAILED GRASS would be the main reason for ARTIFACTS/SMEARY PICTURE (NOT still frames), but the stream looked fine even when moving around with all the grass around. The problem is STILL FRAMES, which is the streaming software not having enough CPU power to encode the video. it cannot generate the video fast enough, so we get STILL FRAMES with loads of pause inbetween. It happens when GAME LOGIC is computed, so you are fine when there is loads of lightning rods on screen, but NOT when A LOT OF ENEMIES are on screen. When your CPU is busy computing too much of the game events, then your Streaming software does not get enough resources to generate video frames fast enough. Try: - giving your streaming software higher processing priority over PoE - allocating different cores to OBS than youre allocating to PoE (i.e. giving OBS cores #1,3,5,7 and PoE #2,4,6,8) - checking if OBS is even using more than one CPU core and if not, try changing that. Even if I'm wrong, i can GUARANTEE you, you can put the graphics settings on any setting that you want, highest or lowest, we will always keep getting still frames with many enemies on screen. You do also not have to to ANYTHING with your bitrate, because we didn't get a smeary screen wiht artifacts EVEN with all the grass in the hunting grounds, which SHOULD be a bitrate killer. It is NOT a graphic settings, NOT a bitrate issue. DO not accept any help from people who think it's a bitrate or graphics issue.
Turn on Engine Multithreading in your in-game graphic settings. Max your settings and enjoy. By having that setting off means you're only running the game with 1 single cpu core which explains why your cpu graph was so high.
37:39 You hold the darned phone, that’s my old keyboard. I want that back, all the replacements I’ve gotten are awful by comparison. I used it so much the sensors for the keys died, couldn’t even replace the bits anymore. Edited for detail.
POE2: 'Highly recommend not turning off multithreading as it will diminish performance!' Josh: 'Lets turn that off.' Also Josh: 'Why is game using so much CPU?'
I got to the Mausoleum of the Praetor, my game crashed, and seems to have softlocked permanently each time I try to reload. And I've seen since that it's happened to a bunch of people. So unless that gets patched soon I believe I've experienced what Josh would call a 'quit moment'.
The "lag" is not lag at all. It's a bitrate issue. If you haven't already fixed it, you can probably just increase it in obs settings. Twitch might limit it on their side tho.
I think they need to move Renly up to the from and Finn to the back, it seems many people are thinking gambling with Finn is the only way to get gear instead of just buying much cheaper from the normal vendors
Everyone in chat becomes a computer expert, lol, i know they're trying to help, but, when every solution varies from chatter to chatter it's becomes a cluster f*ck.. 🤣🤣
In case you see this, I had to replace my CPU and update the BIOS, there's apparently a known issue with the i9's drawing too much power and overheating and POE2 was the catalyst for mine to die lol
Fun fact: Some graphics settings put more stress on your CPU when turned down... EDIT: hehe I just came to the part where you ask why you don't use any VRAM ;) because of low settings duh
Wish I had spent $80 more on PoE1 when I was younger and had the income, if I had known I was close but not close enough to giving GGG the money they felt they deserved I could have given them more, but I got like 74 stash tabs, I didn't like the cosmetics usually, they feel very 'Runescape3' to me. Oh well, back to begging randos on the forums for a free key.
Josh describing legacy media as news xD Real news is from guys like Russell Brand, yes the comedian... It's not news to just piss you off, he preaches love and compassion towards one another...
This is a 7hr podcast with poe2 gameplay in the background and i am all for it
This isnt a podcast its a Zoom call.
"Can you see my screen? This look okay?"
I absolutely adore Josh's carefree approach to streaming and willingness to experiment :) so fresh and entertaining to watch :)

Hiya! Checking in to report that I mostly listen to your stream VODs while I work. Thanks for the delightful entertainment on all of your channels
Oh god, the thumbnail wasn't just a threat!.. it's real!

i have built this pc specifically to game - with my external usb harddrive
I wish ps5 would allow me to lower the resolution this low. Looks amazing.

edit: HELL YEAH IT'S IN THIS STREAM
I remembered that poe2 has pause, to come here and say I specifically looked for this VOD to just listen to it

2:44:00 You mean Beverly Hills Cop, with Eddie Murphy, don't you?
Awesome stream. You need to do way more. Live gameplay stream. Thanks Josh.

Can hear the heavy breathing, walk stairs up?
Nah, he was enjoying himself
That's just the thrill of PoE 2 ^^
Will watch this vid in 240p in solidarity
Holy shit, such a commitment to the bit(rate)
I think they need to move Renly up to the from and Finn to the back, it seems many people are thinking gambling with Finn is the only way to get gear instead of just buying much cheaper from the normal vendors
quickly becoming my fav to listen
1:41:08 This is pure art 🧐

Absolutely love it
When he talked keyboards , i knew ..a man of culture

Why is Josh talking about graphics and screens on the podcast. Quite weird.
Even the consoles got SSDs before Josh xD
graphics settings: Path of Baldur 2
Wow, I've never been so early that there's no comments yet
/wave
yea lol
37:30 - Use this comment as a “called that keyboard from a mile away” button.
Logitech. $10. Membrane switches. I pumped my fist. Called it.
My pc got fried and watching this makes me feel sad. Wanted to play poe1 while listening to this.
Good game is better than pretty game.
Consistent art style is more important than the latest greatest graphical update.
make sure UPnP is disabled in your router
Why does he play the game in 640x480
Sorry answer: Why not? Long Answer: watch the video that made you ask that.
Love it
Nice to be early but gotta wait a few more hours for more comments
