Nice VId. They are roller rockers, just not roller tip. The 1.98's are the ones you want from Mace, but can't fit some VY's due to the head casting issue. Split ratios were also the big thing back in the day for the L67's.Takes a lil time for it to tune in and works best with exhaust and extractors. Like a mild cam I suppose. These are tried and tested here and in US. You can even get a crow cram to match them. Could be tired springs....
I fitted mine on the Ecotec originally on the stock cam to already ported heads and straight away the initial throttle response was slightly better! it seemed to get boost about 2-300 rpm earlier and repeated acceleration test’s showed around 40ish hp gain right up top!, I was just using the I phone app i accel and in that set up it made its first 200+kmh 1/4 pass!
Should have logged lim pressure. The stock ecu can't tell the difference without map so it's probs not adjusting the afr. The supercharger will still eat the same amount of air but lim restriction would have decreased a little. Don't know if parasitic loss has decreased with less lim restriction or increased with a more aggressive ramp rate.
Yeah that's a very good point! Maybe I will have to take these off again. if only the throttle body & alternator didn't make it a pain I would install these at the track between runs haha
Maybe in a stock ecotec it would be more noticeable as it doesn't have the load of the supercharger. As on the stock motor would be straight up have a response to it. Thanks for a video though.
I fit 1.9 YT rockers and didn't notice any tangible difference when driving around under normal conditions. Like all aftermarket mods they would probably perform better with other supporting mods like extractors, intake, tune etc. I reckon transmission work and diff gears would probably be the best bang for buck upgrade and probably the most noticeable for the L67 driveline. Quick side question, can I fit a later model ECU?. For example currently running WH L67 stato ECU with memcal and want to put in a VY l67 ECU. Are the harness plugs the same? Thanks

Yep was about to say, you dont want 1.98, you want the split. I got these for free. Worth testing.

200+km/h pass? I highly doubt that.

geeze busted out the torque wrench and everything
I have ptsd from rockers coming loose and dropping a valve haha

That makes no difference mate.

Ecu's are identical
Regardless what you do those cylinder heads and valves just dont flow.
Ported heads with rockers you will get a change.
But just rockers probably not.
This is the point, proving to people what is worth the money and what isn't. The P-Plater "yeah bro my car is heaps faster with these" mythbusting!
Im putting a mace stage 2 kit in my l67 has high ratio rockers 1.9 is there away to make them work with the cam or have to put stock one back on
Put the stock ones back in 100%
Airflow meter will tell you if the engine is sucking in more air
There is more to it than that
Also depends if it can get the air out not just in
Run it Wednesday night with just the rockers. Think there 1 of the biggest scams there is. Didn't change 1/4 mile time in my car
problem is, it also has a catback, 87mm pulley and a tune now aswell haha
They aren’t a scam! They give more lift! If you didn’t make more power with more lift then what does that tell you?
