Can you go more I'm depth on where you found the parts and how your testing them? My 4x4 isn't working in my 3rd gen and I can't figure out for the life of me why it's not
Just saw your comment on your 4x4 not working on your Gen3 toyota, Having issues with mine also, all it would do is blink finally it locked so I left it locked, once in awhile the 4 little green icons and the center amber light will blink for several miles and then lock again, I did hear a clicking sound coming from the fuse box below my left knee right before I noticed it locked, I took it to a repair shop they looked at it and said they searched high and low in disbelief that they couldn't find and Electrical Schematics on a 3rd generation 2001 4runner that they could use anyway, as of now it's still locked but at times it will start to blink on the dash, and then stay illuminated basically locks and unlocks when it wants to, all of this may sound a little overwhelming and dumb but any info you may have discovered would be appreciated. Thank you.
I have the same issue. My green 4x4 icon does not light up. Neither does the red "A/T P" icon when i have the transfer case in Neutral. I can't find my relay. It's not where you found yours. Also can you explain a little more on the Vaccum switching valve? I couldn't see exactly what you jumped. I have a 98 V6 Auto.
@@HighGearAutomotive Gotcha. My 98 doesn't have that relay. I found multiple 97s at the junk yard and they all had the relay where yours is located. I even took one home. And re-verified on mine to see if the relay fell. But I don't even have the wiring for the relay.

You'd want to start with an electrical schematic if you don't have one. Sorry for the late response.

Can you help me locate this relay on my 97 4runner limited? I’m not seeing it behind passenger side kick plate.
@@brianwells4029 you don’t have one on a 97 because it’s a limited.
Good video and interesting.
Thank you
was this causing the 4x4 light to continually flash in the dashboard?
The light was not turning on at all
did you end up fixing your flashing light? i have the same problem and cant figure it out
Where did you find the relay??
Was purchased at Rock Auto
Can U send a Link sir? Tq
Still on rock auto? As far as I can tell this part has been discontinued everywhere :(
Ah, I see it's available for the 4 runner but not the Tacoma. They have slightly different part numbers but appear identical 🤔
