I dont think the government should get involved in supercar regulations on who can or when can drive whatever, but GM can put whatever conditions they want on a vehical well kinda, but they should at least start making a mandatory performance driving class in order to take delivery of a new corvette even the stingray seems there no slouches, and also the special performance editions of the camaro like the z28 zl1 prob even the SS. It would benefit everyone, the driver and anyone in the vicinity of them and if anyone who owns a performance car should get an insurance credit if they take said course. I really wanna know what happened, lol. Anyone actually know if it's mentioned/shown anywhere, like in the Prime video?
As cool as I think the 2020 C8 is, the C7 snuck by me and I think it is absolutley fantastic. What an amazing machine.
Had a 2010 ZR1 and a modded C7 Z06 now, but love the new ZR1. Cannot wait to see the mid engine Z06/ZR1.
It was a group of geniuses who designed the small block V8. They deserve much more praise than what was given to them.
BorisG491 can you tell me what is the difference between a big block engine and small block engine ?
@@tssstmeyo655 Literally the size of the engine. Bore, stroke, displacement etc.
BorisG491 aww that’s a new information for me ..... and do there any differences in fuel consumption between the big block and small block engines ?
well, now its time for a viper generations video i guess. at least it will be shorter for you guys to produce
This is the last year of the rear wheel drive Corvette... And Chevy knocked it out of the park... Car is beautiful. And a track killer..... Id love to have one.......
Great review guys!!! I've got the Z06/07.........plenty enough for me ;)
Sweet car! I got my dream car (Challenger Hellcat 6-Speed), but have always loved the Z06.
Both your cars makes mine look pretty wimpy GT3 with only 500 hp what a great time we live in when 500 hp barely gets you in the club!!!!!
@@gtperfection1596 GT3 😍
@@gtperfection1596 Not always about the power unless you're after bragging rights. The GT3 is a phenomenal car and would be my choice over the current ZR1 but with the "T" option. Not a fan of big wings even though the GT3 pulls off the look better than the the wing on the ZR1. Honestly the Z06 would be my choice before the ZR1.
Lee Douglas: What year is your Z & do you have an A8 or M7?
I have an '18 WGG M7 Z06/07. I only have 1,946 miles on it so far. I wish I had time to drive it more but I don't. Though if I could afford it I'd also have a 720s & Huracan Performante in the driveway. The Z06 w/Z07 pkg. is great but it also has issues getting the power down to the ground effectively, like the ZR1. They have also packed on too much weight (C6 Z06 weighed 3,150 lbs for comparison).
I wasn't really bothered by the guys commentary, but I would have been more satisfied just to hear the motor and pipes on this beast of a corvette. 👍👍
If GM just had their QC together a lot of their performance cars would be an insane value.
I like the almost Thunderstruck music in the background. It really goes with the car’s attitude!
This car is a beast! Love it
Still better than most sports car w, which also offers a manual case! This is a proper car guy's car!
But can you drive this in California without getting pulled over with the new ridiculous exhaust law?
No
Yeah you can. Just have to prove it’s a stick exhaust if they make you
you do realize that California is home to many rich guys with over-the-top obnoxious cars, right?
the rich who can afford supercars don't care about silly laws. fines are nothing to them.
If its factory then you are fine unless the car is not allowed to be sold in Cali.
The Simon & Garfunkel of car reviewers, just pure awesomeness.
Damn, this is the new widow maker.
It's so funny that we say all the time "where do we go from here" and yet companies manage to outdo themselves yet again. This car is just so insane that you can't help but love it and I absolutely ADORE it!
Unless you're a pro driver or insane, you will not be able to utilize this car's potential on the street. Walter Roehrl said that any car with more than 350hp needs to be on a track in order to fully utilize it.
Yup, Rob (Spaghetti) Ferretti and Matt Farrah from TST spoke on a podcast about this, and agreed that on curvy canyon/backroads 350-400hp is pretty much the most of what you'll ever be able to use.
Some of us are lucky to live close to unrestricted Autobahns where all the horsepower can be unleashed
@@Anders_HeymSR30 true. I forgot to include that because I don't live in germany, but even then you're not able to utilize the handling abilities of a near race spec car
Im insane
There's always club racing and HPDE at your local road racing track. You can use all the power, all the brakes, and all the available grip there!
Love my new '19 ZR1 and I actually bought my car because of this video! The ZR1 was not originally on my radar until watching this video most every day for a month. Goes very well with my '17 Nissan GT-R and '13 Shelby GT500.
Wooho! back on TH-cam, I'll take what I get. And Holy shit guys, at 10:05, hope you were wearing your brown pants!
Worked for some guy today doing some plumbing. We ended up driving to Home Depot to go pick up a part for the sink. We actually drove in his Corvette. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS HOLY FRIGGEN!!! SHIT!!!. Wasn't sure we were going to make it there in one piece lol. Fastest car i have ever been in ......
Lol “speed limit, jail”
Speed limit federal prison
by far my favorite episode, you guys are doing great!
Did u get into a car accident at the end cuz of that impatient driver?? Close call!
Thank you so much for driving a manual one! And you are driving it on the road it was made for (not a straight line). Great video loved it
You won't notice loose trim on the dash @ 200 mph
Bad ass car 👍
Fun fact... at full throttle the car shoots flames.
Sad to see front engine go. Im 61 and I never got to get a new one. Let me go check the Corvette Museums Raffle one more time.
The ZR1 is insane! My bolt-on C7 Grand Sport is putting down ~470hp and it twists the 335s over in 2nd and 3rd at ~35-40mph. I couldn't imagine 755 crank hp and it still handles like it's on rails.
"Budget Supercar Beast"
I dont think the government should get involved in supercar regulations on who can or when can drive whatever, but GM can put whatever conditions they want on a vehical well kinda, but they should at least start making a mandatory performance driving class in order to take delivery of a new corvette even the stingray seems there no slouches, and also the special performance editions of the camaro like the z28 zl1 prob even the SS. It would benefit everyone, the driver and anyone in the vicinity of them and if anyone who owns a performance car should get an insurance credit if they take said course. I hate regulations but some are necessary like gun safty laws.
The ‘corvette devil’ sits right behind you in the exhaust screaming ‘FAAAASTER’!!!
Great video! And, I’m a Porsche Guy!
The panorama shots of the car at speed are breathtaking.
Your not looking at the interior at 200mph
Well, I think Corvette has finally got the respect that it deserves. This is pure American supercar that rivals Ferrari and Lamborghini.
I personally think it looks amazing,
Ugly??? Are you insane? It’s ferociously beautiful in every way! Especially the front end! One of the all-time best looking Vettes!
I'll be in one once I win the Texas Lotto😁
Way to go Chevy. Always and forever will have the baddest V8s.
Huh Accidentally broke the track record on Accident
love it!!!!!! I have a 04 vette and this car makes mine seem like I drive a golf cart
Better car than the Ford for a quarter the price
I’ve got a C7 Z06 manual car and it’s just F ing scary. Can’t imagine 100 more HP.
I still love the zo6 c5
Shoot i still love the lt4 C4 vettes & C4 zr1 with the lt5. All vettes are nice
@@eastoakland-S65feen Hell yeah, over the last 2 years they've been growing on me and their affordable!
@@TommyBoy-Z exactly even a basic lt1 c4 with the 383 stroker kit is still reasonably cheap. Ill looking at some but dont want automatic
@@eastoakland-S65feen I'll buy buy a manual or automatic, as long as it isn't a 84 with the shitty crossfire injection system
After 15 Vettes, my ZR1 ragtop is a bat out of hell on steroids. Very cool.
That license plate should say AMERICA. Not EXOTIC🤔😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Great review. Its amazing that this level of power is produced by a production car company and a little scary. In the hands of the wrong person this will be the last car many will own unfortunately but love this car. I respect the laws of physics and know this car earns your attention when behind the wheel.
