Thank you for the video and you gave suggestions on if you didn’t do research there’s other alternatives you can use to show that you done your research
Thanks so much for this video. please talk about the third problem (fake projects) in more depth because when I started to learn UX and as homework I had to work on these projects and I could see these issues you mentioned but I thought maybe this is how everyone learns. I had no idea about business value, but building and completing those projects was challenging. although I was happy that I could learn and practice many steps in the design process as you mentioned. recently I realized I need to work on more real problems. I'm trying to find a good subject and problem to work on so I'd appreciate it if you talked about this subject in more detail and shared your advice. thanks again.
this is exactly how everyone learns, but it's not necessarily how you will be working at the entry-level job. Say doctors operate brain tumours in the virtual Metaverse rooms, so they know the process roughly, but it's not what they are going to be doing at the beginning. They will start with simple tasks, watching how others operate. That's the same idea and the same detachment from reality. I have a video on my channel called 'your portfolio is unbalanced' where I explain how to find projects with business value - have a look :)
Thanks for the video, it made me think about the third problem. Right now, I have conceptual prototypes in my portfolio that showcase my UI skills, but not necessarily my UX ones.
ethics and sustainability are different things, but tobacco production and distribution is also not sustainable, in this example I meant what I said :) And yes, although the demand for more experienced professionals is higher, lying in resumes and portfolios is not an option to get a job ;)
Thanks Ines, this was helpful.
This is a very informative and especially when you talk about doing fake work and how to make this into real work and even users

Thanks! for the video, Inès. you made good points out there...
My pleasure!
Inès: lies on a resume, also Inès "we only want to hire an experienced UX person". Also ethics and sustainability are very different terms
