I have lived about 500m from the finish Line for 15 years, and this was so fun to watch! Just started running and watching your channel like 5 weeks ago. I am slow as a snail, but your videos really motivate me!
😂😂😂 You guys, you were all amazing as were the phenomenonal support in Copenhagen ♥️🇩🇰 Great to meet you in the race Village Nick. I was going great (for me) through 30k (holding approx 3:07 pace and feeling comfortable) and then the heat started causing me stomach issues. I slowed down a little and held on a bit through to approx 33k before the wheels totally came off. Still managed a 64 second PB but frustrating. That heat was something else and I haven't felt anything remotely like it since Rome Marathon in 2018 🥵 Hopefully I still done enough to get my Boston Qualifier (although I think that will be a close call)..Will try and build and go again in hopefully nicer conditions in the autumn (possibly Amsterdam). Congratulations to both Anya and Phily, absolutely awesome!! 💪🏴💪🏴

As a purely recreational runner, I did the Boston UK half marathon in April and spoke to Anya to ask her what time she did after she was awarded her prize for her first place female. I didn't realise who she was or anything. S••t, I do now. Hopefully one day she has success on the world stage and I can casually say " oh yeah spoke to Anya at one of our local races sometime ago" 😂😂

Fantastic run from Anya and you make the pacing look so easy too. Quick question - I noticed on Strava that your distance is significantly over 42.2km. Do you put this down to GPS error or the fact that it’s just difficult to take the perfect line? And how do you adjust pacing during the race to account for this? I lost a full minute in a half marathon the other day due to ‘overshooting’ - or possibly GPS issues.

No rules against having a friend pace you. The race organisers employed pacers for the lead men and women too. Ellis Cross was pacing the East African women.
It was and has been far hotter than the stated figures in Copenhagen and South Sweden every day since last Wednesday my friend, the forecast figures have been useless. It has been approx 20 degrees in the shade and until 9pm or 10pm in the evening when the sun has been going down. In the sunshine it has been more like mid 20's minimum which is pretty hot for a lot of runners who have been used to training in much colder winter and spring North European weather.

She signed a 2 month contract with AU which has not finished. Since then she's signed with Lulu Lemon. So yeah she can run in any shoes of her choice.
