Love moving vlogs! And great tips! Found it interesting prices go by weekly there and also how you deal with the agent vs the landlord for things regarding the apartment. Excited to follow along!
Congratulations to your daughter! It’s crazy expensive but the lifestyle is unbeatable. I’m sure your daughter’s house will double in value in a few years! 😁
thank you so much for the support hun and can't wait to share more. I never thought I would live in a time where $1m for a house would be "the average" it is CRAZY
Great video hun!! they all looked nice suburbs :) Rents in Sydney are expensive although over here in Perth they are not too far behind :( I absolutely love Cliff - such an awesome name! - my kids desperately want a dog but we are hoping to move later this year so I'm making them wait a bit longer :) Good luck with your move, its such a stressful time!!xx
thank you so much! I grew up in Adelaide so it was a huge shock for me, prices seem to just be going up and up, it is CRAZY to think that $1m is "average" these days! Aww thank you - CLIFFORD is an adorable little puppy, cavoodles are great with kids too :) we vlogged our whole experience getting and training him, sharing in case it may be helpful in future: th-cam.com/video/FtaR1JMaQxE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ncc2snHZb3laFWld
would you believe $1200 for 2 bedroom 2 bathroom 1 carport per week .. Sydney rental prices are crazy! it has calmed down a bit in 2024 but still crazy. hope that’s helpful
@@alwaysaik looking to move to Syd from Mel to study...this is outrageous! Would you know what would be a good suburb for lower budget/safe at night and still close to public transport?
I am so glad the video was helpful. I'd recommend using apps like realestate(dot)com(dot)au and domain(dot)com(dot)au - rather than going directly through an agenct, because depending which areas you are looking in, will determine which agent you may need to use. Hope the move goes well, Sydney is a very beautiful city ✨
Thanks for sharing your moving journey! Looking at moving out soon, and was wondering if you had to put out an offer more than what had been advertised due to the competitive market? Thanks :)
That's very exciting! Yes, sadly we did end up putting in an offer that was slightly higher that what was advertised because it was so competitive and we had a small dog. Hopefully the rental market will ease soon. Good luck with the move and settling into the new place 😊
Hi.. thanks for your video. Anw, I'm going to move to Sydney on July next year (2025) for study, and I'm a little bit overwhelmed with the rent cost there 😅. I plan to budget my accomodation cost for about $500-550 pw. Can I still get a private apartment near by The University of Sydney with that budget? I dont mind if the apartment is small, as long as I can live comfortably, with my family (me, husband, and 2 toddler). Hope you can answer me. Thank you in advance.
How exciting, Sydney is an amazing and beautiful city to live and study! You may need to consider moving a bit further away from UNSW as places nearby for a family will probably be around $800 to $1000 per week at the moment. However we do have good train and light rail transport, so long as you live near a station should be easy to get to and from UNSW. Realestate (dot) com is good site to look for places and gives a good indication of prices. Good luck with the move 😊
The cost of rental in Sydney is just crazy, just became too expensive to live near the city. Thankfully greater Sydney is so big so there are lots of options. Thank you for watching :)
@@alwaysaik thank you, my colleague was full on gloating today about having combined income $210k so im looking out for her to see what she can get . Keen to hear your thoughts about that income in sydney

Thanks so much Mikee ~ can't wait to share more home content. I love your garden updates and may try adopting a few plants too! 🪴
Yup Sydney’s expensive. My daughter bought a 2 bedroom 2 bath 2 car space unit and it’s cost over 1m and a bit. But the view of the harbour is WOW.
Congratulations to your daughter! It’s crazy expensive but the lifestyle is unbeatable. I’m sure your daughter’s house will double in value in a few years! 😁
I am interested to know where about in Sydney one can get an apartment just over 1M with the view of the harbour. 😀😀

Congratulations on new apartment 🎉🎉
I'm curious how much you paid before, because ~$800 is still a lot for a 2b apartment.......

Whats the average cost of utilities in Sydney
my average utility bill (including internet) is around $150-$200 per month in Sydney.
are you using an agent or just browsing through real estate markets
hi there, no agent we mainly used realestate.com.au or doamin.com.au apps to find all the listings. hope that's helpful
Love ❤️ and subscribe 👍
