A question in regards for leaving a system under pressure for 24hrs. If there's a temp diff from when charging and checking and you do (T1-T2)x.8... is this formaular specific when working in PSI? IM FROM Australia and working in kPa and am wondering if that .8 rule of thumb is the same for us down here? And what does the .8 represent?
Good question. The .8 is for psi. I'm not sure what it would be for kpa. Most of the time the temp doesn't change much, so the variance in pressure should almost be nothing. I think this is more affected when you have a system sitting for weeks ahead of schedule and maybe the seasons or weather have shifted. Usually the temp difference is only a few degrees so the multiplier adds up to only a couple psi. The pressure should be relatively the same if you only waited 24 hours, in most general cases.
Hi, I changed a left hand compressor on master and they left running on right hand compressor slave on VRV III ( REYQ12P9Y1B ) daikin. Someone before me has desactivate the master to run until new compressor installed. Now I don't know how to establish again the master to run and to communicate. Thanks
You want to unlock the master for operation correct. If you look in the service manual for that model there will be a field setting to unlock it. I'm not allowed to give it out publicly. You can also call daikin to ask what the setting is if you cannot find it in the manual.
