That guide should be permanently employed by the guards own public relations department if there is one. He’s a star 💫
Since when the army have public relation departement ?
More like public liaison office? Any organisation needs some sort of relationship with the public.
@@chafouaube985 she did say, “if,”
Yea even if she said “if” I think it would be rather odd if any branch of the armed services had a public relations department
@@chafouaube985 Didn’t you read my comment properly? Maybe you don’t understand the meaning of the word “if”. I didn’t say or imply that the army have a public relations department. “If there is one” does not mean that I said, thought or implied that there definitely is a public relations department.
Well done to the guide for advising the tourists of the rules alongside the regiments history. Pity all group tourists don’t do the same, especially school groups.
"regiment's".
THE BEST Teacher, I have SEEN or HEARD here so far! He gave a great description of the King's Horse Guards; I learned so much from it, and I would imagine his class will remember this field trip for many years to come, because of the time this young man took to actually educate the students in the way they should treat and respect these soldiers, and their horses, plus a good bit of their History, in away they could relate to them.
This would be the way both verbally, and in their printed brochures; the Commercial Tour Guides on the giant busses full of Tourists should be "coaching" their clients -- it certainly would prevent some of the nonsense and mayhem I have seen since April's videos (when I started watching this Channel).
Yes
@Kingsford Gray regiments/regiment's
Always has to be *ONE* pedantic idiot 🙄
YES!!!!😀he made it interesting & easy to understand for the kids (adults too!!!)🤣
The tour guide has very nicely explained how prestigious it is to be part of the Royals or Blues, that they are active soldiers, and to respect them and the horses. This is how things should be done...
"Life Guard" and "Blues & Royals" 😊
@@teresabillings8378 many thanks for the precision. Greetings from Spain !
This is someone who loves his job
@@teresabillings8378 Milady knows her Regiments of the Household Division.. rather.
Blues and Royals, Lifeguards.
That teacher/guide is excellent. As an Aussie, it was great to get the education. Thanks so much. 🇦🇺
Im Aussie too ,the horses, guards are awesome
I don’t think so. He needs to give more information. He made two mistakes.
Well said Sir, all tour guides should tell the tourists this.
GOODNESS RESPECTABLE SCHOOLCHILDREN
Can't help it, I find these Kings Guard videos fascinating!...☝
He actually said bye in the end. Beautiful interaction... lovely... and he seems so young.
The painter has skills! 👏
It was a treat to hear the guide talk abt the guard's history! Kids are like sponges, so it was awesome to see the young guards being positive influences for them. The gentleman's painting was really quite nice too!
That guard also nodded and smiled at a group of kids the other day. That's nice that he answered questions for them.
Lovely to see the teacher thank the guard right at the end.
Love how the kids were so excited when they saw the horses coming out
Yet again these guards are priceless, well done young man for talking to the school children, it's just ashame the tourists don't show respect to these guard's and realise there working people and not a tourist show,
Not all tourists are bad
@@arkie_4252 there not all good either,
They are a tourist show though, there isn't any practical reason for then to be standing there like that
@@bam-skaterYes there is it's in the name King's Guard,if someone tried to attack the palace they would be the first line of defence.
That would have made the kiddies day for sure!
I loved what the tour guide said as well….very informative. I didn’t know about James Blunt.
I knew James Blunt was a veteran; thought he was in the Guards.
So was his father @@kah10161
Well controlled and respectful school visit.
Really glad the tour guide is spelling things out for the tourists.
I am four minutes into this video, and I am greatly impressed by the civility of these visitors! All the other videos I’ve seen the tourist are so out of control.
Respect to the guard
Got more respect for the binmen
Thank you for your service and be safe
This tour guide needs to train ALL other tour guides that lead groups of tourists around the King’s Household Calvary. 💂🏻♂️🐎
Love what the painter is doing.😊
💜✌🏼🦋
Thank you royal guards for your service
The Life Guards were until 1788 called The Horse Guards. Hence the name of the building. This was the entrance to Westminster Palace, which was destroyed by fire. It's still the official entrance to the the Monarch's residence though.
There were orginally three "Troops" Kin'g, Queen's and Scots. The Scots Troop kept their horses in a stable yard across the road. It's still called "Scotland Yard" and was the HQ the Metropolitan Police
Oh thank you! Finally, after 55 years, I learn where the name Scotland Yard came from! I never got round to looking it up.
@youejtube it is called New Scotland Yard now, but it is still the HQ for the 32 different areas ('villages' in London) of Policing within the Met Police.
Great teacher respect🙆
I have got addicted to these videos😊 always respect the guards! I love the Aussie teacher how informative and awesome 😎 is he. It is so shocking how rude some people are so hopefully more of these videos will educate on how to be a decent human 😊
He isn’t Australian, defo English accent, sorry to be picky.
Also addicted to these videos always on the lookout for new ones ,so proud to see these young men doing something for OUR COUNTRY 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
@Michelle-iz5bh I'm English and he sounds Australian to me, wonder where he's from ?
@@Michelle-iz5bh I didn’t mean the guard I believe he is English. I meant the Aussie tour guide at the beginning of the video 😊
@@LET337I'm English and that is absolutely an English accent. Not Australian at all.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I'm from South Africa. This teacher/guide gave a few answers to questions I had. One was the working hours of the beautiful Horses 🐴 They have a special place in my ❤️
Best soldiers in the world ❤
Good to hear that guide giving information about the guards & most importantly instructions of what not to do i.e. grabbing the reins. Well done.
I totally agree The tour guide was brilliant, at least you could understand what he was saying to the tourists.
While I'm not surprised the Queen's Guards never broke protocol and were 100% on point, it was very refreshing seeing the tourists following the rules, not being obnoxious by crowding the horse and just being respectful in general.😅
Other teachers and tourists guides - *TAKE NOTE* ...
WOW this guide knew his history of the Guards😳 I learned some things myself. THANK YOU Sir👍 The young guard inside gates was very polite and patient answering questions with those young kids. Thank You Sir for your service👏 and the artist there does a phenomenal job painting the Guards. Wonder IF he gives the subject he is painting the finished project. That would be cool if he did🤗
That guide/ teacher was very good indeed, nothing too complicated just a few rules and a nice little bit of history
Excellent! The guide knows what he’s talking about! I love the guards, and their horses.
Brilliant that he did his research before visiting and let everyone know to be respectful. I'm glad the guard answered the childrens questions. I love these videos, but I wish people were a bit more thoughtful when visiting. These guys are not for show they are doing their job. So much tespect for these guys.
Thank you for the excellent history lesson! Brilliant teacher. 🇬🇧
He was very nice with the kids and he is handsome too
I like this horse. He tells the tourists to bugger off!
This is incredible
the one time royal guards are allowd to talk to the public when schools visit
7:14 The way the guard said it, Make way, so adoreable. i love it, props to ya, fantastic job. :)
The guard should get a
model's fee,
for posing so well....
Hope the artist gives
the guard a copy...

The artist is Rob Pointon ROI, Household Cavalry Artist in Residence at Horse Guards.
Nice to see people showing redpect to the guards for once
That soilder is a lovely person especially to the school children
Trooper Ellis
The guide is great!!! Polite and informative!!!
The guard is very young and is one of the best. Thanks for your service.
Awesome 👍👍 most respectful person I've heard! I learned a lot about who the guards are & the history behind , thanks!
He's probably not really supposed to talk to the kids, but it was nice that he did and I doubt he'll get in trouble over it (I hope)
All he horse’s behaviour towards children is always so different to adults. I think all species recognise the young of another and are gentle towards them.
My grumpy mare is awesome with little people
At last some one being respectful to the guards
lets not forget............those guards can be adorable
Around the 6:38 mark, the guard seemed to be answering questions from the kids for those who didn’t watch to the end and asked “where is the act of kindness,” or didn’t read other comments
THAT is a class act, and from a Life Guard no less! Wonderful experience for the kiddos. Thank you for the share.
This guy at the start is great. Must be refreshing for the Guard who normally has to deal with braindead tourists
Thank you for the info, you have answered so many of my questions, and very nice painting sir👍 hello from Canada..😊
love how the tour guide was puttin the info accross but without droning or sounding like a dry book entry he first reasured about the horses and the way he conveys respect to and of the guards with his info on photo ettiquete was brilliant , the trooper with the kids is not so unusual , though should be recognised more , as they are just blokes with kids bros sisters etc if thet were showed more respect by the public etc then things like this would be more accsesable and common place
thanks for service boys stay safe
The guy talking to the visitors is hilarious! He could have his own show.
Really appreciated the tour guide's information ... Had no idea personally. Anyone know why the guard's boots have that huge vertical tang extending from the calf up to the knee area? Branch scrape protector when in the field?
He's such a lovely Guard. In fact they have all got very friendly and if respected they will answer politly. The picture the man was drawing is fantastic and I'd like to think the Guard would get to have it 😅 Shame that all those kids where sat on the floor, that could be dangerous if a horse was to bolt , not very respectful either 😢
Why isn't it respectful? Have you forgotten that this is a working Palace and not a Classroom.
I'm really lost about not respectful,to whom 🤦😂
@@alanedwards7496 so you think it is respectful to sit on the floor like that where the Guards are working? Tourists seem to be taking the piss of the fact that the Guards are working and on duty. I was not amused.
@@charlotterockel-kennedy8913 NO I do not think it's respectful at all, that's my point they shouldn't be there. But I've no doubt whatsoever they were cleared to be there by the powers that be,otherwise they wouldn't have been allowed to "sit" as they were.
I comment as a former vice principal/deputy head teacher, their teachers probably told them to sit and rest. It was probably a long day of walking. The school children were not tourists but on an educational visit. The soldier had probably been briefed in readiness for the visit, hence his answering their questions. The staff, a good staff/student ratio, were in control.
@@alanedwards7496Not just cleared but expected and the soldier briefed and ready to take questions, otherwise he would have been on a charge 😊
Best guide giving advice and information😊.
Thanks to the tour guide for letting everybody know the horses have it WAAAAY better then the actual guards lmao
Can't believe how well behaved the horse is with the public doing what they, re doing it's amazing how he can stand still for so long as long as people don't do stupid things to spook the horse
Very interesting talk by the guide. You can tell the tourists who know something about horses. Boy, I could have used those vests the students wore when I would take my students to the Bronx Zoo in NY.
Great video. the Guard did a Awesome job talking with the school children. :)
Shout out to the talented painter! 6:52 Wow would love to have that painting and his talent! ❤
Hats off to that Soldier respect 🏴🥃
Brilliant tour guide 👏
I like that painting he was doing. I bet that guard would wanna buy it as it was of him. Id certainly have brought it.
What brilliant commentary for anyone interested in actual facts, instead of just The Pose
I didn't know James Blunt was a lifeguard and a captain 😮
He was once asked if he ever shot anyone and replied: "God no! I simply said to one of my men, TROOPER SHOOT THAT MAN!"
That was really cool to learn that this is considered a reward to be posted here. Didn't know that.
That Tour Guide Was Very Knowledgeable of the Kings Guards and the Horse Guards. It was Nice to Hear things about the Guards and Their Duties. The Painter Was as Masterful in his Art of the Guard., Bravo. The Children and the King's Guard was Well Done, Hopefully one of the Children will Maybe Be a King's Guard and Be able to say to the Next Group o Children, "I was Once Like You, I saw Honor and Pride in the Guard the Day My Class Visited. "God Save the King, God Bless America and God Help Us With Prez JB"....US Navy Veteran, (Disabled) 11 Yrs of Service Honorable Retired.
Long live the king
Love❤ from here to King's Guard
This guide has done his homework well done to him
That painter was pretty good!
That was great education thank you, enjoyed hearing this 😊
Everyone needs to stop acting like it’s the first time they’ve seen a horse and keep their paws off. Have some respect.
that was nice to take the time and talk
Really the king's guard is going to be kind-hearted to children. I'm surprised you're not screaming at him. Heartless Gar King's guard
He taught them manners. Great job.
Thet artist needs to paint trooper Ellis too hes really good with kids.
That artist is incredible as is the guide
Arnie is back😊
I wondered if that was him! He tells it (heehee) like it is!
Wow kids not being pricks to them, always nice to see. As well as the guy painting, dunno if official or just wanting to but its nice
They do a good job
I haven’t finished yet ! Come back
oil panting so cool
I did not know that...im glad I got to listen to the guide.
I'd love to know what the horse is thinking at 3:21 when he's so interested in the woman. He looks as if he's trying to send her a telepathic message.
Greetings from America 🇺🇸.
I really enjoy these videos of the Royal guards.
I was wondering how long the term of service is for these horses, and what their ages are. I imagine they are fairly young animals.
Thanks for any answers!
He definitely helped me learn .. I had no idea that they do switches that’s pretty cool..
This horse, I've noticed from several videos now, is one of their more calm horses. Not afraid to tell others to back off, but usually very tolerant of the intrusive people who dare get too close. Knows who they want near and who doesn't. Not sure if it's a mare or gelding yet, but it seems to have a good sense for who to be gentle with and who needs a reminder nip. I, personally, would keep a 10' distance, minimum, out of respect.
Excellent thanks for sharing ☺️
Awesomeness, thank you for the video.
Great instructions and information. Too bad he can’t speak to the dozens that are so disrespectful.
"Don't grab the reigns - Bad Juju" lol 😆
Well done
Handsome guard
He's so young and handsome ❤
