I dearly loved all versions of The Seldom Scene as long as John Duffy was there but this version surly does the name Seldom Scene proud. I still get a lump in my throat remember the Scene and the other bg bands of yesterday. I've been a bluegrass fan since before it was called bluegrass music. I'm so thankful that I began my life in the mountains of Virginia where I was exposed to this great music and so so many great bands. The progressive style, great musicians, close harmony and personalities of the Scene won me over immediately. It didn't hurt that I was already a big fan of the Country Gentlemen. Rip all you old bluegrass musician from a tremendously grateful life long fan. Ken t.

Fantastic. I first saw them at the Red Fox in Bethesda, MD in the early 1970's, followed them to the old A&P in Arlington and then to the Birchmere. Ben Eldridge has played at the bluegrass jam I host in Round Hill, VA the last Friday of each month as well as some past members of the Country Gentleman. Those were the days.

I remember seeing The Seldom Scene at a bluegrass festival in Richmond,Va at the State Fairgrounds/Racetrack about 1978, while they were playing on stage some jerk threw a frisbee and it hit
Mike Auldridge’s Dobro......they left the stage but luckily were talked back on from the cheering crowd. Great show almost ruined by one individual.
