After watching most of the show this is one of the jokes that sticks out most in my mind. It perfectly represents both of them. Mark’s metric scale of neuroticism and Jeremy’s lack of any personal responsibility. It’s the whole show summed up in to one exchange. The three servings of rice in combination with two rounds of beers and three naan is already insane, but for Jeremy to get a fourth presumably for himself is just absolutely mad. Truly insane. He probably didn’t even eat it despite it being all he can afford. He is 100% the type of person to stock up on carbs so that he only has to eat once a day
But isn’t this for 3 people? Doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. 1 rice and naan per person plus 1 naan in case

The downgrade from 'Oh F***' to 'Oh Piss' to 'Oh Crumbs' gets me everytime.
To be fair when you go to a place that makes proper naan in a tandoor, even two naans are quite heavy, one and a half is normal , so four is insane
But if you go somewhere that makes it in house it's soooo good. If you can stomach it.
I find the Indian restaurants are getting a bit stingy with their naans in recent years, they used to be a meal just by themselves but now seem to be creeping smaller and smaller so perhaps 4 is one day going to be the standard order.

@@sachindougall1069 the best Indian restaurants are ANY Indian restaurant - curry is so easy to make good it is literally impossible to mess it up. Naans on the other hand seem like a bit of a skilled art that is being lost by modern generations- and yeah it needs to be a keema or tikka naan to have as a meal on its own.

I tried to joke about this scene at my younger sisters dinner party recently with her friends who I didnt know, they were asked to bring naan bread and only brought 2 packets, instinctively and without thinking I exclaimed, "2 Naans, 2?" in Marks surprised but condescending tone, forgetting this episode is quite old now. Lets say there was an awkward silence.

Peep Show was always so deliciously silly and ludicrous! BRILLIANT cast, witty dialogue, and easily one of the greatest comedy shows EVER! Wish it could return!!

First 3 seasons were great, but went downhill from there IMO. Eating the dog was just silly.

It's true, 4 naans = insane. Of all the world's popular cuisines, there are two that I always over-order because I think I'll eat way more than I eventually do. Indian & Texas barbecue. Thankfully most of the barbecue I've enjoyed is all you can eat.

@@iankuk1980 As a Texan, I question the quality of all you can eat barbecue because the good stuff is usually quite expensive. The only time I’ve had all you can eat barbecue was a fundraiser on a really bougie ranch and that was some of the best and probably most expensive barbecue I’ve ever had.
