Abbasid Caliphate Family Tree | Family of Prophet's Uncle Abbas | Golden Period of Islam

This video is about the Family Tree of Abbasid Dynasty or Abbasid Caliphate on Animated Chart. The Abbasid caliphs were Arabs descended from Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib, one of the youngest uncles of Muhammad and of the same Banu Hashim clan, ruled from 750 to 1258AD.
They ruled as caliphs for most of the caliphate from their capital in Baghdad in modern-day Iraq, after having overthrown the Umayyad Caliphate in the Abbasid Revolution in 750AD.
Abu Al Abbas As Saffah laid foundation of this dynasty in 750 AD ending the 90 Years rule of the Umayyads. Baghdad then became the center of science, culture and invention in what became known as the Golden Age of Islam which lasted for around 600 years.
We have explained using animations on the chart about all the ruling members of the dynasty and their achievements or atrocities of some of them. The most important members which ruled were Harun Al Rashid & Al Mansur.
