I'm not, and I'm Asian.
One thing I love about Alvin's videos is that he uses the subtitles to communicate. A lot of TH-cam videos show people who feel like they have to talk nonstop, and sometimes very fast. Alvin's videos are relaxing, showing simple recipes and it seems like he has a perfectly organized, minimalist life and still works, enjoys time with friends, makes great food. The subtitles make me focus on the video, it's not just background noise, so at 10min each, kind of like mini meditations, where everything else in the world falls away and I can just enjoy it without my own internal noise interfering.
