I'm a very experienced cook, and still learn a lot things I want to/need to do differently, and I've learned to adjust Gemma's recipes to accommodate my allergies, and every single one of them is just so delicious!

I made a Nutella hot chocolate in a mug with (probably not precise measurements) 3 1/2 tablespoons of Nutella (Note: mix after you add each ingredient) 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder 4 tablespoons of all - purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon of corn starch A pinch of salt 1/4 teaspoon of vegetable oil 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract 3 tablespoons of milk Mix until smooth Put in microwave for 1:00 Top with strawberries and mini marshmellows! 😄
That mug donut has quickly become my go-to breakfast! If you add extra cinnamon and use apple jam instead of strawberry, it tastes like an apple pie. 💜💜💜
Not lazy. It takes energy to make all these things. To care about eating or even eating is a huge effort for many. But these mixing inside little mugs is a bit of a pain in the ass. Anyone can just make a bigger batch of the dough she regularly uses for many and just make them ahead. Leave to add a little bit of baking soda on it before adding the other stuff and is ok. They will look better, no clumps and they can be stored in a bottle with a funnel so is just pouring the refrigerated batter in the mug and doing the rest.

Yes Drukpa, the sugar is what buggered it up for you. Do use salt & follow Gemma's recipes to the tee. She is the expert & she double tests her recipes. Have made the donut, I bake it in the oven for about 18minutes and it just came out great. Amazing texture with kinda crispy outer crust. I also have tried your churro mug cake, they are amazing as well. Can't get enough of them. I love baking but its kinda waste if i bake in a big batch if it's just for me, so your mug cakes is the absolute solution and they are just as good. You are amazing gemma. It's not actually a real lasagna. I'm not saying it ain't good cuz it looks AMAZING, I'm just pointing out that in a real Italian lasagna there's no sausage, no ricotta and no green stuff (idk how's it called, sorry). This was amazing! I just did this, followed the recipe and steps to a T and it came out so luxurious and chocolatey. To be honest I was gonna eat half and save some for after dinner but it was so good I finished it all. This was WAYYYYY better than the stovetop recipes I tried (from other youtubers). It was thick but not lumpy, smooth and have the most inviting chocolate smell with a hint of vanilla. Lovely! I added some frangelico at the end to add more depth to the flavours since I used semisweet choc chips instead of dark. This was brilliant. Thank u so much Gemma!

Ingredients 2 tablespoons (1oz/30g) Butter 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 Egg yolk 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon milk 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon Strawberry jam Cinnamon sugar to garnish Instructions Place butter into a microwavable mug and microwave until just melted. (roughly 20 seconds) Add in the remaining ingredients; mix well with a fork until just combined Once the batter is mixed place the spoonful of jam down into the batter to get a jammy center Microwave for 45 seconds or until it is firm on top. (Cooking time is based on my 1200W microwave so your timing might vary) Always keep a close eye on your mug while in the microwave so it doesn’t overflow or overcook. Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top and enjoy straight away! I love making this, but it's hella frustrating for everyone when you don't put the recipe in the description 😭😭 please its not that hard to copy and paste it

I made this jelly donut in a mug!!! OMG! The texture was AMAZING! I'm hooked! The taste, the smell, the look; wish there was a way I could attached a picture. I took about twenty pictures before I inhaled it. It was sooooo tasty!
In isolation at the moment and your mug cakes are keeping me sane!! I’m even making my own versions. My vanilla cake with cinnamon and ginger with a bit of chopped crystallised ginger pieces and choc chips with a quarter teaspoon of cocoa powder is awesome as a pudding with some lemon Greek yoghurts on top! Weird but tasty!

I’ve made the Mugnut a few times now, and it’s so delicious!! The only problem I have, is that the jelly/jam always sinks to the bottom of the mug, and becomes very mushy. Idk how to avoid that, but otherwise it’s perfect if you want something fast and sweet! (I’ve also had it overflow a few times, but that’s honestly just because I used a mug that was too small😅)
Ok...just made the egg one. Substituted jar jalapenos for the scallions. Still can't believe how good this is and how simple it was to make. Can't wait to make the rest of them. Thanks for sharing!
Been watching this video for years now, and I learned something very important when Gem says “keep an eye on it”. I went to make the mug muffin because I hadn’t in a while, and I overcooked it by accident. Why am I mentioning this? Because of what happened as a result. The flipping thing exploded in the microwave so hard that the muffin actually jumped out of the cup when the inner egg exploded. Managed to salvage it, but seriously, don’t walk away. Not even with a 700 Watt microwave. 😅
As a working, single person, this is the answer to my cooking problem. I never feel like cooking a whole meal for just myself but get tired of just snaking all day. This is perfect. And so many choices!

I've been following your channel for a long time and I must say you are the most innovative and creative baking genius on TH-cam. I ve learnt so much
Ingredients
2 tablespoons (1oz/30g) Butter
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 Egg yolk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon Strawberry jam
Cinnamon sugar to garnish
Instructions
Place butter into a microwavable mug and microwave until just melted. (roughly 20 seconds)
Add in the remaining ingredients; mix well with a fork until just combined
Once the batter is mixed place the spoonful of jam down into the batter to get a jammy center
Microwave for 45 seconds or until it is firm on top. (Cooking time is based on my 1200W microwave so your timing might vary) Always keep a close eye on your mug while in the microwave so it doesn’t overflow or overcook.
Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top and enjoy straight away!

I made this jelly donut in a mug!!! OMG! The texture was AMAZING! I'm hooked! The taste, the smell, the look; wish there was a way I could attached a picture. I took about twenty pictures before I inhaled it. It was sooooo tasty!

In isolation at the moment and your mug cakes are keeping me sane!! I’m even making my own versions. My vanilla cake with cinnamon and ginger with a bit of chopped crystallised ginger pieces and choc chips with a quarter teaspoon of cocoa powder is awesome as a pudding with some lemon Greek yoghurts on top! Weird but tasty!

I’ve made the Mugnut a few times now, and it’s so delicious!!
The only problem I have, is that the jelly/jam always sinks to the bottom of the mug, and becomes very mushy. Idk how to avoid that, but otherwise it’s perfect if you want something fast and sweet!
(I’ve also had it overflow a few times, but that’s honestly just because I used a mug that was too small😅)

Been watching this video for years now, and I learned something very important when Gem says “keep an eye on it”.
I went to make the mug muffin because I hadn’t in a while, and I overcooked it by accident. Why am I mentioning this? Because of what happened as a result.
The flipping thing exploded in the microwave so hard that the muffin actually jumped out of the cup when the inner egg exploded.
Managed to salvage it, but seriously, don’t walk away. Not even with a 700 Watt microwave. 😅

My first attempt at the pudding was a bust. I forgot to stir the milk while pouring it in and the corn starch made lumps coz of it. Gonna try it again tonight. Hope I can get it right
