It's too bad you never reply to your website email requests for custom work. I have sent multiple requests with no replies. I really like your work, guess it's not possible.
I came to this channel after watching Ilya destroy the forged in fire challenge. Bro you are insane! Forget your avg conventional weapons, the fact that you create stuff like this...just shows that you are absolutely worthy of the forged in fire title and even beyond! I would love to see you make more weapons from BDO!
@@ThatWorks well you created Drakania's slayer sword. It only make sense to create the Guardian's Jordun axe next! A lot more complicated but I feel you guys got this!
Ilyas' skill, to me, lies in being able to produce such symmetry, simply with a hammer. Simply?...you know what I mean. But in sword making, symmetry is very important, also incredibly difficult to achieve, especially, freehand, by eye. Matt does basically the same on the grinders...incredible. A pair of incredibly talented artists. Who then take an obvious wallhanger and use it to chop wood and slice n dice water cans. THAT is having confidence in your work. Another great video.
Been a fan since pre That Works and see no reason to change that. It's a joy watching you guys make armory. The Ulfberht sword still amaze me. Stay safe and stay healthy.
When you think that after everything amazing Ilya has done he cant possibily make your jaw drop again, he does this again! haha. What an incredible display of skills!
Damn that looks amazing, I love how detailed you managed to make the guard! Never actually played black desert but that is a pretty cool looking sword!
@@ThatWorks most things are easier the second time, it's great watching you guys have at all the different builds you've been thru. I guess my favorites are the same as yours , the difficult grinds and the katanas.
@@ThatWorks honestly, I'd be interested in seeing the process of failed builds too. Seeing the process of how they fail in planning or forging could give some good insights as well.
I wish too. They deserve it. Also this is the second time they’ve been sponsored by Pearl Abyss. I play the mobile version of this game and we got links in-game to the video of them making the weapon for Nova. It was the spiked mace.
at-least they forge majority of their stuff instead of cutting out a piece of flat steel and grinding the rest away. 85% of youtube "bladesmithers" aren't even real bladesmithers. love this channel, keep up the great work because this is REAL FORGING!
I always love how hard and long you apply yourself to every piece, i truly envy you here. PS Sound balancing is really rough on this video. Maybe needs some compression on high volumes
Sponsors take note, if you want a real weapon representation of your assets and not some heavy decoration item look no further than these guys. Truly skilled and they actually forge the bulk of things instead of just fabricate.
Forever amazing works. Seeing weapons from games come to life is awesome. I would love to see you guys make something from Final Fantasy 14. I personally always wanted to see the Paladin's Curtana and Holy Shield come to life.
Thanks for a another awsome entertaining build! As always you guys skills are off the chart! I hit like button before I even watch your videos you guys never disappoint!
If your a follower of anime and manga, I hate to say it but PA borrowed the Swords gaurd design from Clamp, creator of Magic Knight Rayearth, Hikaru's sword.
I feel like this is most usable of the giant fantasy swords you guys have actually made, because it looks like the average person could actually wield this like they could a normal two-handed sword.
Aside from the fact that all those protrusions make it almost impossible to safely handle at all. You're gonna stab yourself in the wrist or arm in an actual fight. I'd rather use the Buster Sword. It's hard to move around, but at least it's not going to stab you by accident.
Amazing 🤩. These videos keep me watching and forging projects of my own with the pure bliss that you inspire in these awesome projects. Most often than not I’m instantly looking forward too hard but pleasant work forging and refining my own skills. Truly inspirational and awe inspiring every time. That works 😃
Once again asking to hopefully see the Destiny Blade from The Last Apprentice/Wardstone Chronicles/Spooks Apprentice book series. This version specifically the art featured on the back of the book. I don't remember which book but if you do make this blade please don't use the more modern depictions. Thank you and lovely work on the blade yall, you always knock it outta the park!
Illiya is always a god at this work, i love seeing him, when i was younger i'd wish to be in his shoes, such a cool and hard working person, such a talented eye for details
You fellas never cease to amaze. Thank you for all the incredible builds and please, keep them coming. I’d really love to see an Elden Ring weapon! Just saying!
Amazing work as always only thing I’m disappointed of is that the shard is a short sword that runs the length of the blade in game and is removed for certain moves it isn’t a dagger
@@ThatWorks Sword of night and flame looks pretty good, and Eclipse Shotel looks unusual and hard to make. Whatever you end up making I will enjoy watching it.
@@ThatWorks Rivers of Blood if you fancy another Katana build. Otherwise I'd say 'Eleonara's poleblade' or perhaps the 'Godskin Peeler'. I've never seen you guys do a double ended blade before :D
@@ThatWorks The smartass in me wants to say Grafted Blade Greatsword or Ringed Finger. I'd actually prefer something on the more realistic end of things, though.
If it wasnt for the spikes pointing backwards, the awkward shape of the hilt and the sheer absurd amounts of extra weight in forms of decorations, this would be a fomidable sword.
I love the big swords build. But Im still saying that a good challenge would be to make big complex swords into normal sized ones and have it tested by a HEMA practicioner.
@@ThatWorks my bad if it sounded like wanted you to prove something. My train of though is that, equally as when you make and 9foot statue sculpture, as when you make a detailed boat on a rice grain; art and skill is needed. That's all honestly. That and that it would fill an inner desire to see the buster sword, red rose or guts sword or other big-super-detailed swords being swinged at max speed IRL

New class Drakania available now: bit.ly/3jNQ63R ! What should we make next?
What happens to all the builds once they're done? What do you do with them?
See if you can get Fromsoft to throw you some money for the weapon of your choice from Elden Ring.
you should make the sword Alistor from Devil May Cry. The guard on it might be really fun for y'all.
It's too bad you never reply to your website email requests for custom work. I have sent multiple requests with no replies. I really like your work, guess it's not possible.

You should definitely forge another Lord of the Rings sword. Like Theoden’s sword as depicted from the Two Towers
I do like Theoden's sword!

He sure is something
Ilya is one of the bladesmiths ever
a game sword that isn't hollow?
you have my like
im never going to get tired of watching matt being the jesus christ of angle grinders.
Ha!
and belt grinders tbh
Never getting tired of Ilya being the slavus christ of forges 'n' hammers
oh jesus
Damn that looks amazing, I love how detailed you managed to make the guard! Never actually played black desert but that is a pretty cool looking sword!
Thank you! It had some many pieces and there were so many decisions to make about what was what and how to go about doing it.
@@ThatWorks Yea, I can imagine. It's really hard to make sense of fantasy weapons and how to actually bring these wacky shapes into reality!
I can't believe how symmetrical and clean the forged blank looks. That's insane, I couldn't even fathom doing something like that.
you can do it!
As some people have already said some elden ring builds would be really cool but what I want to see is a historical build for a zweihänder
Both are on our todo lists!
I love how Ilya makes everything looks so easy
I don't think anyone else could have done this blade justice. Amazing
Thank you!!!
In premiere chat Matt said that ThatWorks did make some "not so good" pieces...I've yet to see one for myself! Awesome work as always you Guys!

I was really hoping PA would work with you guys again on this one, glad to see they came through on that
Yea they have been great to work with
Though it seems unwieldy, it's awesome. You guys are not only exceptional craftsmen but also true artists!
We trimmed some things here and there and tapered the blade to make it a wee bit better but big swords are big swords…
That sword is awesome, but also like to point out how beautifully shot that video was!!! Great job all around!!
Ilya tempering the steel with a flamethrower gave me a good laugh.

Why spend the time drawing on a computer for a one off when you can just do it!
Great job, neat to see you use angle for the handle and guard pieces.
Yea it was a great idea
good job! so much detail on that sword. actually there is a slot for short sword in the middle of the main weapon the drakania uses
Yea we made this before she came out so we did our best guess
BlackRazor from Dungeons and Dragons! It's a really epic sword. The handle is next level.
