Loved your face when she just drove over the spaces in the car park after you said about following it round, it was like "Or you could just do that instead..." 😂
It's been great to watch Millie's confidence grow and to see her flourish over the past few months especially and I think you were/are (as we don't know if she's passed yet! 🤞) the perfect driving instructor for her... So calm, patient and kind! I think that her confidence will sky rocket once she's out there on her own, I personally feel much more confident when driving alone compared to driving with people in the car! 🙈

I can finally relax and watch these videos after passing my test yesterday at Chingford, my advice to everyone never give up. it was my 6 attempt. Good luck to everyone. Don’t give up. One day you pass like me.

Been catching up on all of Millie's progress - recently started learning to drive again, almost 10 years since I last failed my practical. Great to see her confidence grow over all of the lessons and to get a pass on this mock. Fingers crossed that the real thing goes (or has gone) well!
And props to Aman for being such a great instructor! I've had some sketchy instructors in the past, but thankfully see a lot of her in my current one and I'm getting more confident every week ☺️

Signals warn and inform other road users, including pedestrians (download ‘Signals to other road users’), of your intended actions. You should always
give clear signals in plenty of time, having checked it is not misleading to signal at that time
use them to advise other road users before changing course or direction, stopping or moving off
cancel them after use
make sure your signals will not confuse others. If, for instance, you want to stop after a side road, do not signal until you are passing the road. If you signal earlier it may give the impression that you intend to turn into the road. Your brake lights will warn traffic behind you that you are slowing down
use an arm signal to emphasise or reinforce your signal if necessary. Remember that signalling does not give you priority.

This is probably a stupid question but where is the handbrake/handbrake button? Is it automatically switched on when you stop the car? This is all new to me as I'm learning in a car with a physical handbrake so when I watched these videos of your students stopping/parking the car I got so confused why they aren't securing the car haha
The handbrake is on the far right by the door side
They only ever use it at the start and at the end
The car generally doesn’t roll or if you brake firm it puts a hold on so it holds until you try moving away
It’s very easy to get used to :)

There are no stop signs in your videos, do you have ones in the UK?
Most of the junctions are giveway, I only know of about 3-4 stop junctions in west London

With the forward bay parking, I thought u weren’t allowed to drive into the next bay in front to readjust??
Hey it’s not an issue as she was in the space perfectly the first time
It would normally go down as a minor fault if you need to readjust but as she was already in the space it wasn’t marked down
Driving over the lines of the bay are not an issue

I know that before 20 meters you can signal.
The faults are not a negative in a mock, in a sense they’re good because you really learn from those mistakes so shouldn’t happen again in the actual test

I've a not it's not good to put foot left foot under the clutch because if she is gonna break quickly may be here foot will be stuck under clutch so she has to put it in left there is a special place to put foot good luck but she is good.
Millie didn't shoulder check on the carriageway when changing lanes. Maybe in UK you don't have to do that... It's a blindspot 😐

Aman, I understand you're not allowed to note down faults as they happen, like a real examiner could.
You must need good memory skills to keep track of faults, especially if there's a lot of them!

It wouldn't pass on real test
Of all the useful things you can gain from a mock test, the actual result is probably the least important.
Did she passed?
With the same car, sometimes it can move off by 2nd gear, and sometimes it stalls...
It all depends on how you release the clutch
It’s possible to move off in higher gears but it’s harder and you have to accelerate more as well as hold the clutch ok the biting point for longer
You would generally avoid moving off in 2nd from stationary,
Moving off downhill it will work better

I’ve noticed that none of the parking manoeuvres in any of your videos involve actually fitting between two cars (neither for parallel nor perpendicular parking). I understand that one wouldn’t want to do this on day one and risk damage to a car but isn’t that anything you’ll going to have to do in real life?
It is but in the test you are always going to have at least one empty space next to you (at least that was what I was told!)
@@BeckaBN That’s in contrast with Germany where you have to fit between two actual cars with both types of parking (perpendicular and parallel). For the latter that is defined as a gap of about 8 meter. During the actual exam, you’d be asked to do one of the two types.
yeah because you learn how to park without going over the lines and if you do it will be a fail because if there was a car there you would’ve hit it
@@GloriaAsamoah-mp3gf With parallel parking, very often there aren’t any lines (besides the curb). And I would argue that parking between actual cars requires some slightly different skills as you have different visual markers (the other cars instead of the lines, at least partially). As you reverse towards a parked car, you have to be able to judge your distance to that car.
Additionally, ending up between the lines doesn’t mean you wouldn’t have possibly clipped or scraped another car on the way to that position.

its a traffic light inside one big roundabout you can see the exits
@@ziyad.l252l Yhe then its not a round about in most of the definitions. The priority should be on the vehicle that is on the round about. This is just a one way road.
@@xzaz2the reason traffic lights are there is to keep the flow of the traffic otherwise this will be a disaster during rush hour traffic. strictly speaking though it is a roundabout
