That's a nice-looking layout you've created. My grandson has enjoyed watching your videos. He's planning to build a 009 layout in the near future, and I'm sure he'll be filming and posting updates on his Dylington Model Railway channel once he gets started. Great work, and it's certainly inspired my grandson.....cheers James 🙂👍
@Gwenen-009 He's got his baseboard built, which is 4'x2'8" and is well on with his planning. So hopefully it won't be too long before he starts. At the moment, we've got the comments turned off on his videos, except for the Christmas one, this is for his protection as he's (12). But if you decide to watch any of his videos, if you want to pass a comment, you could do it on the Christmas one, or on even on here, just mention the videos name. We may put comments on at some point.....cheers James 🙂👍
It must take a huge amount of nerve to tear apart a fully-finished layout like that - but you have actually managed to improve a layout that was already perfect! Wonderful!
Thanks for your kind comments, glad you like the layout. The passing loop gives me somewhere to hold an extra train. There will be a small halt for the workers. I was a bit nervous in doing it, but it seems to have come out alright.
Great track plan and modeling! I like the continuous running and options for operations. What spacing do you generally use between tracks, such as passing sidings and parallel spurs off the main line?
Thanks for your kind comments, glad you like the layout. I don't use a set spacing for the tracks. As long as two trains have enough room to pass each other, then that's fine. The space is also somewhat dictated by the angle of the points / turnouts. In this scale, the tracks can be quite laid close together.
Hi! Just found your site. Great work & inspiring. Just subscribed.
Thanks, glad you like it.
Very clever use of scenery....
Thanks, glad you like it.
