    Singapore is basically a miracle!!...All because of Sir Lee Kwan Yu who came to my country Sri Lanka (Ceylon) in 50's and said if I can build an Administrative system like Ceylon I would be very happy. Now wheres Sri Lanka wheres Singapore? our politicians have looted so much people cannot even buy fuel. Singaporeans owe so much to this great man

    Lee Kwan Yue is one
    of the great geniuses of the 20th Century. He had Malaysians, Chinese and ethnic Hindus living in peace and building a magnificent society from NOTHING. What's even more amazing is he never fired a shot, even when seperating from Malaysia. There's never been a society that has arisen in such a fashion. Ever.

    Thank you for the video.
    As the leading nation builder after Singapore's political independence,
    LKY showed Singaporeans and the world
    his version of building a fairer and more just society;
    that has become a model or reference for other countries and cities
    to adapt to suit their societal, cultural and political contexts.
    Sure, contemporary armchair critics
    can always point to the negatives and darker shades of Singapore's governance,
    as if utopia can be found in any political system in this fallen and imperfect world.
    But there's a price to pay for every success
    and Singapore is no exception.

    Duterte is in a way similar to Lky in terms of butchering people related to drugs, and spending lots for infra developments. Harsh laws are needed in terms of drugs and have death sentence will make people more scared. The constitution made by Aquino is the biggest garbadge ever made for Philippines limiting foreign ownership to 40%. No wounder where Singapore is today, when someone capable who have a Vision makes policies for foreign investment so easy and transparent. Why cant Philippines just abolish the whole constitution and create a new one in terms of investment policies, so they can be at par with other Asian nations and grab a big share in terms of foreign money. Countries change policies all the time to innovate and make investments easy, but Philippines in general dont like change, even it keeps millions poor and jobless. Seems like Commonsense in government is not heard of , or is completely ignored.

    • @julietalpha5868
      @julietalpha5868 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      There's no need to revise the Constitution if we want to improve the economic system of the country. We need credible laws that could levitate the economy. We rely merely on importation. We should develop the agriculture sector to make a landmark for our economy. Did you know that our Constitution defends your right of speech, it's democracy. Singapore is also democratic. The only difference that we elect corrupt politicians instead a right person to the right position. The 60-40 equity that allows foreigners to own is only valid if he/she married a Filipino. The 60% goes to a Filipino which his/her spouse then 40% to a foreigner that they married. Its purpose is to protect Filipinos from foreigners to own lands by their own . They can't afford a property specifically about land ownership if they don't qualify to what our law says. They're only allowed to obtain the 40% ownership if they marry a Filipino, if not they can't. We already obtained our independence from many colonials country. We have been a slave for many years. It's time that we make laws to support the national interest of the Filipinos. We all know that the purpose of Duterte is noble. He created a lot of opportunities to make our country great. But we must not forget the due process of law when it is needed. We must follow what the laws says. I disagree to your opinion on abolishing the Constitution when it is the supreme law of the land. Unless we revise or amend the Constitution if the people calls it. Democracy my friend is the best thing ever happened to our country. A leader that we must have should be transparent, committed, competent and dedicated for public service, that's what we need. We are also to small to have a federal system and we are not ready for it. We must avoid corruption if we vision what is best for our country. If we have crocodiles in the government then we are far from achieving it but one thing that I must say that it is not impossible for us to attain a world class status. We must protect democracy for the best interest of our country. A legacy that can be inherited by the future generations. I love the policies of our government to eradicate communism because it is one of the main reason that hampered our development.

    • @bananaman6030
      @bananaman6030 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Corruption will always exist no matter what. But spend lots for infra, healthcare , open up the economy so there will be big competition. Thailand, Malaysia , Vietnam is also corrupted, but these countries have good policies for foreign investments and have cheap healthcare, electricity, internet, and low fees for education in good universities. Its all about balance. Philippines have been ripping off filipinos for decades and forcing them to go out to look for low class job in foreign countries because government can create policies to attract foreigners. Among the 14 countries for fda investments, Philippines ranked 13th. Its a shame really.. its a modern world we live in, and modern policies needed to lift these broke countries out of poverty.

      @@bananaman6030 its because corruption here is more coordinated and warlord esque. Especially with how Political Clans are very rampant and hold key local and national posts with idiots still voting for them. While corruption say in South Korea is more like a corp giving a politician money if they shut up. Corruption here is very centralised within Political Dynasties its why you see a lack of political will, and an upholding of a status quo. Its why the pork barrel is still here. And personally, changing the constitution with Political Dynasties still hold power isn't a very good idea.
