Being a carer of narcissists I was feeling low so I consulted my runes which I have had for over thirty years.I drew sowilo and I held it warmly in my closed hand and asked for guidance from the ancestors.I then came across you wonderful video and was reminded of my own strength and felt protected from those around me and their negative opinion of me. Thank you for sharing your soul space and wisdom.
Stay safe.stay well and stay sane.

I usually never comment but I had a realization when you mentioned keeping true to yourself and your objectives when you get backlash from external opinions stemming from misunderstanding, then obviously creating hate towards your own ambitions. Its crazy because this rune specifically applied to that realization on how I would be able to achieve (or come much closer) to my life purpose and it just all made sense as if the divination happened within this video, while I was taking notes, bringing me Sowilo. At exactly 9;33 pm. Now I know to keep true to my mission when strong forces are very much possibly against me. Gratitude, thank you Arith for spreading knowledge and your wisdom, much appreciated, truly.

That was a thing I was wondering about for very long time. A very deep and rooted thinking and religion as the pagan's was almost complete destroyed as the most cultures that had this kind of thought. And really upsets me is the fact that a lot of that has been lost for a looong time.
I really appreciate that someone like you is re-introducing those thoughts nowadays.
Thank you so much and hope you and others can change the way most people think back to the old times, or like it....

Absolutely accurate. Sowilo is my rune for this month, I'm starting a new job and started homeschooling my youngest son. During the winter I was visited frequently by Frigga and her message was that of sunlight, she appeared in a green spring meadow bursting with new life. Her message was clear; spring will bring great joy. Spring is almost here and I am certainly experiencing great joy!! Her core lesson was for the joy to be brought to my children, as the matriarch of her household, Frigga showed me to be the matriarch of mine. Take care of my family, my children, let in the light and enjoy it with my loved ones

I always regarded Sowulo with Lightning while Gebo with the Sun and Perthro with the Moon. X^D Sage Sunders Stunned, Staggering on Search for a Syllable, Sounding from the Self-Sealing on Yggdrasil, like did Odin or Jesus on the Cross :P You never stop learning. OwO
*edit* You gain Sowulo, then you merge two Kaunaz together, like you put two magnets, with opposite current, making them bind. The Fire and the Anti-Fire or Red flame, and Blue flame to gain white flame -- lightning, to bring life to the cold icy plane of existance. ;)) Keep up the good work. UWU

I must have been born a pagan because these beliefs are the center of my life. Birth, death, and rebirth. I may end, but I do not fear the world will end. It will be cleansed by a massive disruption (Ragnarok?) and will begin again new and pure. How many times has the earth been defiled and reborn?

Nine days ago (yes, nine ;) I randomly grabbed the rune bag gathering dust on my shelf. As a new age spiritual loper I have many random items and stacks of card decks. I have never used the runes aside from the first time when I bought them and felt no connection at all. Almost distaste. I happened across a website, therunesite, and found a spread called Midgard Serpent Layout, read the basic casting procedure and cast. Why the serpent? I've had three journeys which lead to serpents in various ways, but with my Catholic upbringing I found this to be very unnerving. This just felt like the time to face what was haunting me. As I went through the reading, looking up each rune, obviously, as I had no idea what it meant. It was a beautiful reading that was completely accurate. I felt a deep connection. I started researching. I have watched hours of your videos since. Every spare moment. I have asked for signs and received them in the form of crows three times. Last night I decided to pick a rune to sleep with as I begin the journey to learning and developing a connection with them. I used a triple goddess cloth and decided whichever landed face up nearest the star center. The only stone that landed in the center (and face up) was Sowilo. I saw it basically meant sun and went to sleep. As I watched your video above this morning I was deeply moved, comforted, hopeful and emotional. As an ice queen that has refused to cry due to numerous traumas, it melted me. I have known and received information on my life purpose and talents, but I don't like them. Ha! It will bring much alienation and anger, it will walk with dead, and, probably again from my Catholic heritage, that is terrifying. Yet thrilling. Perfect. Yet daunting. I look forward to learning more from your videos. I know now that some version of Norse Paganism is my calling, but what it looks like or how I live it is unknown. I am beginning a new journey, releasing the old ways and I give you my deep gratitude for your labor and openness of knowledge. In a 25 minute video, my world view has been awakened from what I always knew but pushed away. Thank you so very, very much. Can someone direct me to a "good start" to understanding pagan practices in alignment with Norse Mythology? As I understand there is no true book, written instructions, dogma, etc. I still feel a bit...overwhelmed and unsure. Sincerely, Lady Angel Gray, a new identity I heard from someone on the other side in this nine day journey. I have spent my spiritual life seeking to make things black and white, good and bad, holy and evil, yin and yang, masculine and feminine. I now understand the grayness, the in between. Plus, all of the attempts to manipulate life in to black and white just gave me gray hairs in my brief 38 years. Ha!

Haha, too funny! I have been living this one to heal, purify and better understand myself and others especially those I did not understand and were frightening to me, but yes action must follow now! I have always liked to walk through the darkness to better understand the forces that have made my life more difficult. I wonder how this would be represented? For some reason the darkness does not affect me, or if it does I never use it to cause harm to others. I am just beginning to gain interest in runes after finding some super ancient mud fossils on my familys small patch of woods with the famous Mazon Creek running through it. There were markings that I could make out on these ancient fossils. Some looked like english letters (M, X, etc..) others looked like stories written in stick figures but most were more similar to runes, I believe. I tried looking at some ancient languages, Phoenician seemed like the closest match but that was still inaccurate. I like this story that I read about how Odin slowly brought himself to the brink of death by hanging himself for 7 days in order to be taught the true meaning behind these markings that were made by nonhuman, magical and more natural (to us, at least) entities. Also the creatures that I have seen in these rocks make me question the whole entire field of paleontology and our known or admitted history. How does one overcome their observations going beyond our known or accepted historical accounts of the ongoing processes of life on this planet?

Do you think that maybe Tyr, who was the God of the skies, symbolises fire? That they maybe used a Y shaped stick like thing, maybe tied together to receive the power from the lightning to create fire. Could that be a possibility, I ask since you have a lot of knowledge on the area, it's is more new to me, but I have thought a lot about the origin of letters and words, language. What do you think?

I have a question about what you said at 10:54 regarding Sowilo being a mental fire. Could it be used with Kenaz to create a bindna for motivation and drive? What would a good third rune be for this? Thanks in advance.

  • @XXVIII333
    @XXVIII333 ปีที่แล้ว

I think lightning could have hit trees back then as well, they found out that there was something called fire. I know that in the Stone Age they talk about creating fire by hitting rocks against each other, but vikings and Thor, why does Thor have the hammer?

My guess is superficially accurate. Given that it’s a movie designed to malign pagan practice, I wouldn’t anticipate much.

In Catholic dogma the Blessed Mother holds a very important position in the afterlife of humanity to the extent of co- mediator along side of her son. I find it ironic how the patriarchal Church of Rome honors the mother goddess in heaven but represses women’s rights on earth.

I read (can't remember where now) that Rome only introduced the Virgin Mary after they had so much trouble getting the Pagans away from their goddesses....like St Patrick invented Purgatory, because those pesky Irish would not give up their magical realm. Rome liked it so much, it was adopted into doctrine.

I dont think they were sexist back then, I don't think it happened until the witch-hunt, I think often people read our present time´s norms into the past, which if you think about it seems a bit biased.

In Catholic dogma the Blessed Mother is venerated to the position of co mediator with her son in heaven. I find it ironic that the patriarchal church professes the mother goddess authority in heaven but suppresses women’s rights on earth within the Church of Rome.

Hello Arith! First off I'd like to say thank you for taking the time to make this and many other of these very fun and informative videos! I have been enjoying them throughly.
I simply just wanted to leave this comment here because i can see that you are a very intelligent man and very clearly enjoy having the facts and information about what you are speaking on, and that is what i wanted to address because it seems to me that there is confusion about Christianity when you speak of it.
I don't want this to be extremely long so ill make just some simple points to address some things here and a bit from one of your other videos.
    1. About there not being a female figure in our Trinity: the reason why we "don't" have a female being in our Trinity is because they are Spiritual beings they don't have a physical body, they are genderless. God tells us to address him as Yahweh because He is what he needs us to be Father/Mother, Brother/Sister, etc. etc. (No many Christians are confused by this because they follow what a man is telling them instead of learning from what God is telling them). The reason being is because God fills the role of what we need weather we know it or not, we just have to come to him.
    2. God is not a cruel God, unlike Allah for example who openly calls for the murder of innocents who don't follow after him, God only called his children to defend themselves from those who sought to destroy them which you see many times throughout the Bible but can easily be misunderstood if you go in looking for problems with it. But if you read it wanting understanding them you will get the answers you are looking for. God doesn't call for us to harm anyone in fact he tells us many times to turn the other cheek. In the New Testament you see him give a clear example for us to follow when he tells the crowd that any who are without sin may cast the first stone. On the contrary he tells us countless times that we are to love, feed, protect, give home too(not done in todays times for obvious reasons) those in need. Even if they didn't share our beliefs.
    3. There was a lot of wrong doings done by the Catholic church in the name of Christianity that much can't be denied However as i have said above those people were NOT true followers of Christ. Again, we were never called to harm others but to feed, love, and protect them.
There is a lot that can be misunderstood about Christianity just as you say there is much that is misunderstood about Paganism and it is simply because people instead of going and looking for themselves and trying to understand what they are calling out as "evil" just hide behind the teachings of some random guy who is no more above them than the next.
I have studied many different religions and ideals and even tho i don't agree with them, i hold no hatred for those that do believe in those things. I used to have a job where my boss was a luciferian Satanist, the assistant was a Wiccan who was married to a Christian, several Atheists, and some satanists so as you can see ive been around my fair share and those are honestly some of the best people I've ever worked with, very intelligent people and very open minded people like myself.
Sorry this came out longer than expected 😅 but again thank you so much for the videos and hope you continue to make them!

OH! i forgot the last point i wanted to make, my apologies.
But it was simply the world doesn't just end with the Apocalypse, on the contrary the Bible tells very clearly what happens to both the believers and nonbelievers.
Believers will go to Heaven yes but it doesn't just end there, after heaven a new world will be made for the believers. To put it simply.
And for those who don't believe the Bible is also clear on what the punishment is for not believing, and yes i know you are going to say "why should anyone be punished for not believing?" Well again to put simply. When you misbehaved as a child did your parents reward you or did they punish you? We had everything given to us, perfect paradise. However because of our sin we lost that, we disobeyed so the punishment for our disobedience was and is death. Death of the body and eternal death of the soul. It sounds dark and gruesome but how can someone who is perfect, the very definition of the word, supposed to allow imperfection in his perfect realm?
