Thats so.... interesting. So they basically dug a hole and filled it with seating when they built this place? I was so suprised to see thia is built basically slab on grade. Most arenas have all sorts of spaces under the seats, bathrooms, food courts, security, ect. Here its just... dirt.

Seats either side of that new building arent seeing a thing. Wonder why they bothered seating that area?!

It was not designed to be an arena, so the addition helps.

@@theqrealm What dyou mean? Those seats have no panoramic view of the field. How does that help?

Those seats at the top right next to the luxury suites are HORRIBLE. You won't be able to see half the field

Agree. What on earth were they thinking?

I wish that they did not lose the swath of lighter-colored seats.

@@allensaunders449 I personally hate that renovation. The stadium was modernized, but lost almost all of its character.

It wasn’t a renovation. They put a new stadium inside of the old one. And the two of them don’t work together. It’s soo bad that the Bear’s owners want a new stadium or the are going to move out of the city.

I feel like the coliseum commission absolutely ruined this iconic stadium. I hear that USC wanted to place the luxury boxes above the stadium rim to maintain the symmetrical bowl and restore and decommercialize the peristyle. But these idiots wanted to keep the look of the exterior
Have these bureaucratic boobs ever been to the LA coliseum ??? The outside walls are of no architectural significance at all .. they face a parking lot. It’s not the walls of the Roman coliseum
It is the inside and field of the stadium that is most historic. What about Fenway park or old Yankee Stadium . keep the outside but totally erase the inside where the competitions occurred?
Yeah that where Carlton Fisk waved the home run fair against the reds in 1975 .. behind the luxury boxes where the green monster was
    What an absolute shame
The entire board should be fired

It's an historical landmark makes renovation tricky. I think its fine but to each his own
