Looking forward to this one. I just played with the same ancient one and setup. Here’s hoping you have a much better result than I did, haha. I’m glad you choose this one, not many people that I found even played this particular ancient one. This helped me make sure I set this up correctly, as to me, is was a bit confusing. Ty for sharing!
Good to see some of my favourites in the mix - Jim Culver, Zoey, Charlie, and Daisy is great if you can keep her out of tentacle range. Interested to see the players choices.
I am really looking forward to seeing gameplay on the Dreamlands side board. Many thanks for linking Jeremy's site, I will definitely be checking that out too.I sort of hope Joe Diamond makes it into the game, only because I have a soft spot for this character after having played him recently. In our game he contracted every illness, injury and madness condition going and earned the nickname "sicknote". Unfortunately for sicknote to make it into your game it will entail a virtual massacre of your starting party :p
Going to be interesting to see how Atlach plays in Eldritch. I hated her in Arkham to the point where I'd leave her card in the box when selecting AOs. I'm not fond of Gate Bursts to begin with, but having every opening be a burst sucked the fun out of the game for me. Let's see if they'd made her fun but still fierce here. Whoa, I was hoping to get some characters that were an easy decision...but, wow, Charlie Kane, Gloria, both have some nice skills. I'll have a think on this one. :) By the way, I'm hoping to get a lot of advise on how to play with my characters, I have tried the Dreamlands game twice and lost horrendously in both.
Stay alive as long as possible, Dave is my advice... ;-) Whatever happens I'm sure we will have a lot of fun. Even if we get suffocated to death in a silken tomb...
I'm leaning towards Agnes, with her Spell acquisition abilities... of course, odds are I probably won't see much action in the game, if any (unless things go VERY wrong!). When I finally got to play some Eldritch with a couple friends, one of them had to badmouth the Politician, even with his nice abilities. Some people just don't trust politics
