    Sat nam! Thank you for your question. During Sat Kriya the breathing happens after chanting "Naam." Sometimes you may feel the need to inhale, sometimes you'll want to exhale a bit, just let the body regulate it. The only time you are not breathing is during that brief period between the words "Sat" and "Naam" when you are pulling the navel up and in. I hope this clears things up for you. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Blessings, Anne

    Thanks for your questions! Yes - navel up and in, ideally at the same time, this may take a bit of practice but will become easier and more automatic with time. The difficulty with the arms will also lessen considerably with practice and time, as your shoulders begin to open up more. And the sensations you are experiencing in your head will even out also, with time and practice (those are the two keys words - just another way of saying Yogi Bhajan's directive "Keep up!").

    I wanted to ask you how to avoid feeling angry after practicing sat kriya. I struggle a lit with this and it makes me quite everytime. Thank you. Sat Nam

    It's beautiful. Do we need to take breath in normal or to hold it in some intervals?

    Hi,
    i do it for 3 minutes and during it i feel something (energy or blood or...?) going up in my head but not always. The difficulty for me is the pain in the arms that i feel very soon, but it is not so terrible.
    Anne , you say navel up and in (at the same time) not in and up?
    keep up and you will be kept up (says YB?)

    Are you suppose to inhale at the same time you say Sat? Or do I inhale before saying Sat? A little confused...

    • @annenovak1
      @annenovak1 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We naturally exhale whenever we speak/chant/sing, so while you are saying "Sat" you are exhaling. Between the words "Sat"and "Nam" you are pulling the navel up and in and the breath is very briefly suspended. You will inhale and/or exhale a little bit naturally after you say "Nam" as needed. Let the breath basically take care of itself in that space between the words.

    When do you inhale? No one explains that in any of these videos on sat kira?

      sreehari r you can practice this Kriya anytime of day for great effects. But Yogi Bhajan and yogic science say that the best time of day for any meditation is 3 hours before the sun rises 👍🏼

      Sat Kriya is powerfully detoxing. It sounds like you are experiencing symptoms of that. I would suggest very gradually building the duration of your practice, beginning with just a few minutes and adding a minute of practice per week. Slowly working your way to 11 minutes, then 22 and finally a maximum of 31. Also, be sure to stay well hydrated throughout the day. Blessings, Anne

    Root lock: Squeeze area around the anus lift pelvic floor/sex organs in and up - Navel pull in and lift up to the solar plexus.. This is the lock used after most positions in kunbdalini yoga.

    Hi

  • @tyanite1
    @tyanite1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    From what I understand about the practice called Embryonic Breathing, Sat Kriya incorporates it. In Embryonic Breathing, you draw up your navel, anus and sex organs while breathing in and release them while breathing out - that is, if I understand it correctly. Thanks for the lesson.
