This game was retired quite awhile ago. It was not one of the favorites among TPIR fans, but I didn't have a problem with it. Watch for yourself and decide. Features intreum annoucer Gene Wood.
Gotta say, while Gene Wood may have sounded quite awful with the introductions and Come on Downs, he did an absolutely magnificent job describing these small prizes.
@animfan1 Gene Wood was also a longtime close friend of Richard Dawson and I also heard him on Child's Play, Now You See It, Bruce Forsyth Hot Streak as well as Baby Races and The Original Family Challenge.
Give or Keep and Buy or Sell both had their own different dynamics. I don't see why they couldn't keep both. Hell, they keep the Bonus Game in even with Shell Game, so I don't see why they couldn't have both.
@animfan1 It was a Game Show on The Family Channel during the 93/94 Season and it was hosted by the late Fred Travelena and it was produced by Former G-T Producer Robert Sherman and it was a Game Show about Babies competing for Prizes
So playing by the rules and keeping all the higher-priced items: The Keep total would've been $124 ($54 for the Blender, $35 for the Blouse, and $35 for the Sweeper), and the Give total would've been $148 ($48 for the Iron, $25 for the Containers, and $25 for the Popper). That would've meant a loss, had she gone by the rules on all 3 pairs and kept all the higher-priced prizes. Confirm?
The perfect score would be $124 for the Keep with the Blender at $54, the Blouse at $35 and the Sweeper at $35. The Give column would have gotten to $101 ($48 for Iron, $25 for the Containers, and $28 for the Popper).
I had to remember how the game was played. After watching this, you just had to figure out which of the two was the higher priced item. Didn't seem all that difficult.

He's mostly known for Family Fued, but he also did a fill-in on PIR (as this video shows), Classic Concentration, and Super Password.
Card Sharks too
FYI, this game was retired because the producers thought Buy or Sell (basically a copy of this game) was a lot snazzier.
I loved it but it shouldn't have been retired from TPIR's rotation.
Roy Sanders they didn’t like the game. Nor did they like buy or sell. Biased, they are

The contestant playing the game was one of the First Four.
Gene Wood would have been a very good replacement for Johnny Olson on “The Price Is Right.”
Trevor Panno The only issue is Gene didn't have as powerful of a voice as Johnny and Rod did which is needed for a high energy show like this.
He did have a good voice from the other game shows he announced such as “Card Sharks.”
Okay 7 months later. Rod died in October of 2003, and Gene dies in May of 2004.

You're right. All it needed was maybe to be staged slightly differently.
I just uploaded a show open from Gene Wood it's on my page.
He should've been chosen to announce TPIR, even after Rod's death. (Because Gene's resume was mostly G-T, and TPIR is a G-T show)

Why was this game retired?
They should have never retired this game

The contestant must have asked him and he wanted to verfiy what Gene said.
Yes this was just after Jhonny's passing.
was this during the process of replacing johnny?

Whoops, my math is wrong. It would be $98 in the Give total. So she would've won. My bad.
interesting!
Well, if you wanted Buy or Sell retired, you got your wish. However, we don't know the reasons why the game was retired.
I wonder what this game would be like in the Drew carey era
Wasn't gonna happen. Gene died 6 months later.
Gene Woods was not suited to be announcing The Price is Right.
What is the date that this episode aired? I know Gene Wood announced from November 11 to December 6, but can anyone be more specific?
I still thing Give or Keep is better - Buy or Sell should have been retired instead!
