    I have a beautifull bengal Spotted Roset cat named Rio who is 7 months old now, he is the best side kick a man can have, he's always around me, goofing around, when i go downstairs he waits upstairs to jump on me for fun when i come back up the stairs, and listens very well. For instance i don't want him to enter my bedroom, that's my domain and he tries sometimes to enter it when i leave the door open on purpose to teach him not to go in.... as soon as i see him sneaking in im saying Noooo Rio!! And he will stop... and go back out.... the rest of the house is accesible to him. He loves to cuddle and play, and i didn't know about the dark thing... but i have a street latern in front of my house so he always has a bit of light inside, so that's a lucky coincidence. He's really smart, i have a balcony (live on 1st and 2nd floor of a house) and from the first day i opened the doors so he can go on the balcony. It's to high for him to jump off and he never ever had an issue with it... he seems to understand it's not doable and this is a good thing since i don't want to have my doors closed all summer :). People that want to buy a Bengal... please buy it from a good breeder of the race, he's expensive but came in already potty trained... never EVER did he do anything outside the litterbox, and the only thing he ever wrecked was a plant, and he climbed my new curtains... so i tied them up so he couldn't reach them for a while.... now he doesn't seem to care anymore so that's a good thing!
    Love him so much! He's really a fun boy

      I'd still recommend you secure your balcony. My cat was always content to look at the world from under the balcony railing and didn't seem to realize for 4 years that he could also jump on top of it. I was so confident that he wouldn't do anything stupid that I felt no anxiety letting the balcony door open when I wasn't home - but at some point he discovered that it's much more interesting on top so I had to secure it. Could only take one bird for your side kick to forget that jumping off the balcony is not advisable.

    I am fostering a Bengal cat right now! She was terrified at the shelter and no one wanted to touch her. She is actually quite sweet and is enjoying cuddle time! I can’t wait until she comes out of her shell and starts playing!

    I have a one year old dotted/rosetted Bengal that doesn’t know she’s a Bengal. She’s a lap cat & sits on my lap whenever I’m watching TV. She hates water, she’s terrified if I bring her outside, she doesn’t use her cat tree or her wall gym & doesn’t pursue high places. She loves to curl up with me & sleep, thus her activity level isn’t anything special. She’s the most gentle cat I’ve ever had, displaying no aggression towards people or other pets. She loves the whole family & does not have a chosen person. she’s rather clumsy when galloping & jumping around. She just does not conform to the Bengal stereotype at all.

    I’ve had cats my whole life and love them dearly! I just adopted a beautiful Bengal and she is so special! I really never had a cat that is this attentive and wants and needs attention. I love her and a Bengal really is different to a normal cat. I’m not saying better or worse, just different. They are all special and should be loved!!

    I have a 1yo bengal and I can say these are all very true! Especially the part about them having so much energy and needing socialization. This is why I tell some people bengals are sort of like a cat/dog hybrid when it comes to their personalities!

    I have 4 cats and 2 of them are Bengal. The first Bengal is 1 yrs old. I recently got a kitten and the older one has been treating my kitten like it was her own baby. My cats never go outside because of all the many things that could happen. I heard of 2 bad boys that found a cat and they put it in a microwave. Bad boys grow up to be bad men. They get a lot of exercise by chasing with each other around my apartment. My husband and I are retired so they are never left alone. Love your channel.

    I have a 2 yr old silver Blynx (bengal/lynx) and he has hated people from the day we got him. He warms up to people but it takes days. Hes cuddly when he wants to be and like playing with the little stuffed mouse toys. Hes massive and very muscular. I also have an 11mo old brown/orange bengal and she is extremely curious and vocal. She yells about everything, when she wants pets, playtime, food, snack, outside, when she's happy. So all the time. Loves cuddles and fetch. Those two are so cute together.

    We had a half (or possibly full) Bengal female. Queen was the most loving cat and a great hunter at just seven pounds. We let her leave the house through a doggy pet door at her leisure. She brought 28 dead and four live rats into our house through the pet door in one year! Nearly all of the dead rats were half eaten. Queen got along well with our wire fox terrier and our neighbors just loved her.

    I am from South Africa living in an apartment in a beautiful retirement village, or shall I say, I live with my Bengal here. He loves the large open space surrounds and gardens and he takes me twice a day for an hour long walk, inspecting every bush and possible other cat visitor that has left him a note to 'read'...The retirerees here are amazed by his beauty, rareness and love whatching him planning a stealthy 'hunt' while on a leash. His biggest dream is to catch a birdy...but of course never succeeds. I am aloud to apply a good routine and he is actually a very obedient and well behaved Bengal due to good food, playing games of which hide and seek is his favourite and of course respecting his private times. We talk quite a lot but all I know is with a Bengal, it works from two ways regards needs. He is almost three years, super inquisitive and super cute when working out a puzzle play BUT, he also has a strong will when focused on some smell or object when he takes me for our daily walks. I love my Archibald.♡♡

    Our Begal Cat is a brown charcoal marble that our son picked as a stray at his work. We knew the coat wasn't correct for a tabby. We confirmed it was a Bengal after consulting with our veterinarian, whom put us in touch with Lone Star Bengals. We ultimately named the Bengal, Shiloh. I would post a picture or two, but TH-cam frowns upon such.

    We recently brought home two beautiful bengal boys! They are four months old and although they are very energetic, they have adjusted well to the schedules and personalities of the rest of our furry family (2 senior Maltese dogs and a senior Himalayan cat). One week after we brought them home, we rescued a malnourished tuxedo kitten from a very busy highway. He was tiny, about 6 to 8 weeks old. I guess the cat distribution system wasn’t too happy with us going to a breeder 😅. They get along just fine and have become best friends. I will say the tuxedo kitten is much more energetic than the bengal boys.

    I have two cats. One is a tabby and the other a Bengal. Tabby’s playtime is about 30 minutes a day and she’s happy. The Bengal on the other hand plays for 20 minutes rests for 5 minutes and back at it again, and can be like that all day long. So definitely not for everyone. They eat wet food of high quality everyday at 8 PM. Besides that. Bengals are very loyal, highly intelligent, fun, they have big beautiful eyes. They follow you everywhere. They are very attentive at what you do.

    I have two snow benfals 1 girl and 1 boy. They are 1 yr and 2 months old. And Brother and Sister.
    The boy is a big softy with a very quiet “meow”, knows what he likes, loves hunting, loves my husband and comes and goes as he pleases.
    The girl, same age is quite the opposite! She is very vocal, adventurous and is considered “my” cat.
    She was involved in a RTA on 9th May outside our house and received a shard split bone to her front leg.
    She has spent 8 weeks of 24 hr cage life and now only has to go in the cage overnight to prevent her out hunting.
    Now she can come out during the day she is a lot happier, although she stays away from the road and in 3 weeks time will have 24 hr freedom.
    It’s been a long three months, but I think she will be happier, healthier and more settled and less stressed when she doesn’t have to be caged anymore. ( fingers crossed)

    I adopted a kitten from a foster care cat rescue. As I got to know more about bengals I began to notice that my kitten shows many characteristics of bengals. Further research convinced me more and more as time went by until I finally ordered a DNA test. I haven’t taken it yet, but I’m convinced she IS a Bengal and this video has been very helpful. I hope to find out soon.

    I found an abandoned kitten that turned out to be a Bengal. After making sure that no one was looking for him I adopted him. He grew very fast and is now larger than regular cats. He bonded with my small female cat, who has Burmese characteristics. They groom each other and don't mind if I am gone for a few hours. I would recommend having another cat, Bengal or not, if you are not always home.

    I own two brothers, gotten from a shelter at age 1. Now age 4. They each eat 4 cans of Fancy Feast a day, yet they are not fat. They are not allowed outside. If I must go away overnight, I get a live in cat sitter. These kitties love visitors. HOWECER, a visitor came for an overnight stay with their small dog. My cats had never seen a dog before, and they got scared and hid until the dog left.

    My Bengals are prolific hunters and kill squirrels almost as big as a cat! When they were kittens, I took them outside and encouraged them to scratch the trees and use the bathroom outside. If you spend time with your Bengals, they're quick learners and can do most things a trained dog can!

      Our Bengal was a seven pound female. Queen had free access to come and go through our doggy door. In one year, she brought 28 dead rats and four live ones through the doggy door. Most of the dead rats were half eaten--head first. She also brought us a dead squirrel and a bird. A few times she disappeared for 2-3 days and then came home. She was a gentle, loving cat to us and our terrier.

She also loves to climb trees and is always interested in birds, although has never caught one.

    A friend found outside one night an abandoned kitty. His eyes weren't even open yet. She brought it inside because it is still cold outside in June where we live, She didn't know much about cats except that it did need milk so she coaxed it to take little bitty from a small teaspoon. She couldn't keep it because she has a very small apartment and is not home very much do to her jobs. I recently lost my 2 kitties to old age and wasn't planning to get another cat because I am 80 yrs old and didn't want to subject a cat to a lost owner.
    Well she brought it over during one of her jobs (cleaning houses) because other people where she lived were complaining. She had already named him Pancho. ( I think she knew I would break down and take it. She was right. So when I told my son that I somehow found myself the owner of a 4 month old kitten he just shook his head and I said "what was I thinking?" Not only to him but to myself too. So Pancho is now 7 months old. I know when I began to look at him he was unuque

We've bought a new cooker but have to completely cover it up with a plastic cloth and cover it in puppy training pads ! He still pees on it occasionally but at least it's just a matter of changing the pad and not the cooker😊

Hes not very talkative or affectionate toward my wife and i though. I will say i think he has picked me as his person bc he acts up when shes home and im not. As soon as i get home he relaxs and doesn't try to rip the blinds apart lol.
    Im curious as to why he isnt very affectionate though. He never lays on our laps or beside us. Always with the dogs. That being said when were standing hes constantly rubbing up against our legs and wants pets but as soon as you sit on the couch he wants nothing to do with you.

No nothing because the breeder was going to destroy him. He’s got no immune system to fleas in another birth defect. His heart is not where it’s supposed to be it’s up against the rib cage. I take my cat in every month just to be checked and get a shot and then I do take him in to get a complete physical. HELP! We inherited a Bengal from a neighbor and we love him, he loves us, but what the heck is up with the mood swings?! I’m his favorite so it’s really only me he does it to, but we’ll be playing with a string or something and all a sudden he starts meowing his “aggressive meow” and will proceed to try to bite and scratch me 😢 I know his signs so I always back off as soon as he starts that but he literally follows me until he gets a bite in. Half the time I end up feeding him bc that seems to be what will shut him up lol but I also know that might just be making it worse. What do I do??????? 🥺🤧😱

    What is the maximum time to keep your bengal cat alone, if you work from 8-16 or 9-17 and it's taking 30-45 min to get to work and back?

    • @JuliePenson
      @JuliePenson ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have to leave them for a prolonged time due to work, it’s best to get 2 together because they’ll amuse each other and keep each other company.

    I adopted a small gray Tabby from my animal clinic job left at amazingly our back door with a tiny black kitten…Grayling Daniel weighed 1.87 pounds and his Sister .97 a black cat. At that time I was engaged and we wanted a male cat…they said the black cat has been adopted but the tabby is still available….he’s the male. I adopted him and he was tiny and a little fuzzy…then one day he strode into the living room long tail high…..I said David…he’s not a Tabby that’s a Bengal!!! We did a DNA and he’s 95%Bengal and 5%Maine Coon….we adore him….he has his own room, cat tree and a smart TV we leave on at night on a cat channel…..he’s so big now…would I change it…no..he was a gift from Heaven. He’s a wonderful cat. I have to sometimes remind him his Sisters are a lot older but he’s learning…now he’s over a year old❤️😻

      @Ash-fo3ii ปีที่แล้ว

      That's so crazy, I pretty much had the same thing happen! We adopted a grey "tabby" then our vet told us he is a Bengal mix. We were like "ooooooh, that explains so much"

    • @GilaMonster971
      @GilaMonster971 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m trying to figure out how a cat can be 95% bengal.
      They are a wild cat hybrid with a domesticated cat...and not all bengals have the same percentage of Asian leopard cat genes.

    • @Ash-fo3ii
      @Ash-fo3ii ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GilaMonster971 I suppose that would mean that they align with a typical Bengal gene type (Bengals as a breed have been around several decades) as opposed to other domestic breeds. I don't think they mean mostly wild cat, just mostly bengal

    • @GilaMonster971
      @GilaMonster971 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ash-fo3ii But how much of a percentage dictates whether a cat is a bengal? For example my bengal is an F1 it’s 50/50 an Asian leopard cat and a abassynian. But there are many other F numbers that water down the genes and most bengals are more domesticated cat than a Asian leopard cat. It’s impossible to be 95% “bengal” since it’s a hybrid cat. Whoever did that genealogy test lied.

    • @Ash-fo3ii
      @Ash-fo3ii ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GilaMonster971 whoever gets these tests is a bit full of it tbh. Breeding or buying these cats is unethical, so idk how much vets give a damn about the genetic purity of your cat. F1 through F4 is a metric for breeders who want to make money off of living creatures. But hey, they only wish they were as successful as the sociopaths that breed dogs. Breeding is gross...period.
