That is crazy functional. I remember my mothers, Toyota Prius came with a center screen, which was impossible upgrade. I needed to add a auxiliary cord and I had to get a professional installer to install it, it’s still cause problems with the car.
Great upgrade for rear passengers to be able to now adjust seat heaters and climate. Currently you have to do it from the front screen. And all the neat video and music options. Just purchased it! Matches our Model S rear screen.
Great video. Keep up the great work! Because of your videos I will be making a few purchases to refresh my model 3. With the rear screen is the screen still visible when laying the seats down flat? When camping it would be nice to have a closer more accessible screen in the back.

Does it connect to the car stock speaker system or does it have its own speakers? If so how does it sound?
Awesome! However, I don't like the location at all, as on long trips you're forcing your neck to look down for too much time and can create issues. That's why I'd prefer something attached to the headrest instead, where you don't force your vision to go down at all. Great video!
Do you find that this restricts the airflow enough to be noticable? The much smaller air vents is a bit of a concern.
@ItsKimJava do you have any updates on internet connectivity options, video game access and what streaming options work while driving?
Do you have to hot spot your phone? Bluetooth headphones work fine? Is there a built in speaker when not using the headphones ect.

Yes to night mode. Also the airflow seems identical in strength.

Currently it would be from car speakers but you can adjust speakers to only play audio in the rear seats. Bluetooth update coming soon for headphones.

No, tesla cannot dent warranty by law unless they can prove the part you modified is related to whatever issue you may be in for service for.

My phone charging port stop working after I installed. Is their a reason to it? Also I seen in another video the piece that connected to the original fan/ system , need a connection, however in my box it didn’t have one.

No impact to air flow, you still have vents in the back and they feel identical to me.

Wondering if they had "Tesla Model 3 & Y MSX-CP Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Driver View Dash & Touchscreen LCD Display (Smart Instrument Cluster)" and the Model 3/Y Rear Screen as a bundle? Tried to code for these 2 and didnt work :(
Tsportline just told me they can’t extend the bundle deal with the CarPlay model.
However, you could place two separate orders and use the Java30 for $30 off each time…I’d imagine you would end up with two tool kits though.

Negligible I’d imagine. Less than a mile likely, same goes for any infotainment system. Most energy consumption is due to climate, speed, and driving habits.

I’m on the fence about ordering this. My biggest concern is that it looks like you no longer have control over the direction of air flow? My wife would hate to not be able to point where the air is flowing and would be a deal breaker.
You can control the direction on the screen, similar to the front vents
