Hey! Try to make a list of your transferable skills and responsibilities. Then use that list to match the role responsibilities. There’s bound to be overlap. The management coordination you have would overlap with the business administration duties 🥰

I've watched a few of your videos and recently signed up for your resume builder and I must admit, I'm a bit nervous to apply due to the fact that I've been operating my own business and haven't worked for a company in over 12 years. Viewing the requirements on some of the jobs, I notice that I could apply the skills used from operating my own business throughout the years (transferable skills), but I was also curious as to wording certain aspects of the resumes. I was wondering, perhaps, more so, hoping, that you will create a video for those who have been out of the workforce for so long, especially as business owners. The first two positions you covered are similar to the Policy Specialist role at Google (the one you covered two weeks ago). I’m definitely applying to both of these!
You also just helped me to feel more confident about my lack of tech experience. I signed up for some SQL and Excel courses on Udemy, so I think I’ll add them under the education section on my résumé and just put “in progress” in parentheses. The RMS will pick up on those key words and recruitment will see I’m expanding my skills. Win-win!

Hello! Do you have any recommendations for any type classes that I can take to prepare me for jobs like these? For context the only jobs I’ve had is teachers aide and babysitter. I did work in medical for about a year at one point but I did not like it at all. I have taken an excel class but because all of the jobs that I’ve had don’t use it or I’ve only had to use it to input simple things, so I feel like I lost some knowledge on how to use it. I would really love to apply for these jobs but I’m afraid because of my lack of experience I don’t think I would be able to go further in the application process. So if there’s any thing that can help me get the experience that I need that would be very helpful!
I always say don’t waste money on classes for jobs that haven’t been promised to you!

So if we don’t have experience how would the resume look or if we’re trying to cross over on career paths
I go over that in the video. Always be honest about your experience. You can either take training classes on Udemy or Google IT certifications, etc to add to your resume. Or work in a call center for a few months to build up the experience.
what if we dont have any experience that you talk about in the resume you have shown what would we write then. maybe could you do a video on something like that. because if they will train it seems kinda hard to get the job if we dont put these things on the resume

I wish there was something that had a bit of alll the things I'm interested in. I do not want to be an instructor. I'm leaving teaching for multiple reasons, but also I would love a career where I can actually move up instead of working my butt off everyday and mistreated by admin, parents, and students.
