Great instructional video. I have the exact make and model and (HAD) the same issue. As of 1/13/24, my unit is repaired and ready for all the snow that may be headed our way in New Jersey.
Thank you so much for the great video. It worked like a charm on my 3x. It wouldn't start since we hadn't used it in a year, and this solved the issue 👍
Great video showing how to disassemble the snow blower cover to get at the carburetor for cleaning. I have to do the same thing for my snow blower to get at the carburetor and change the spark plug. No matter what machine the manufactures build their snow blowers in a very similar way not making it user friendly for repairs.
A little preventative maintenance will save you time and money. Just use Seafoam in the gas and you won't need to do this to your carb. Seafoam will keep the gas from turning to sludge and varnish so your carb will stay clean. It's a great fuel stabilizer as well as a cleaner. I've always added it to the gas for all my small motors and it works wonders. My motorcycles, lawnmowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, etc. all start easy and run smooth because of Seafoam. In 35+ years I have never had to cleanout a carb on any of my motors.
Good Video Mark , That Carburetor Was A Bit Of A Pain To Get Off, I Have A Honda Fire Fighter Water Pump Designed The Same Way With The Bar In The Way Of The Carburetor & You Have To Undo The Engine Mounts To Get The Carburetor Off. Who's The Idiots Who Design These ?? Absolutely Crazy
Hey don't forget that choke lever comes off! Same as that main jet and emulsion tube also come out while have carb in hand! After all that work why cut corners and even film a video showing it! Still surging and you advertise as a business!?

Glad it helped!
I cut the left hand paddle(blower on) to a 1/4 of it’s original size. Works just as good, and I now loose no heat

Thanks for the great info.
Mine surged a couple times and quit. I always get premium gas and keep things clean but I’ll be cleaning carb here shortly.
Found out today it is the ignition-$375 @ shop
Thx again.
Great video gonna take care of mine in the morning
Thank you for this video. Now mine is running again!
Glad it helped

Great job, big pimpin.
I have this same model snow blower. So for storage, is it recommended to drain the float bowl only or both that and the gas tank?
They need a shut off gas valve
Wonderful content by a craftsman. Does that 3x gimmick really work?
yes

thanks for watching some of these designs are real dumb
No it doesn't work at all it leaves lines on either side of the blower no matter how you try to get rid of them it always leaves 2 inch lines
