I liked your videos on the restoration. I have several questions as I have a Merrimack that is in similar shape. What type of epoxy resin was used? Did you consider using a vinyl acetate resin which is what was used originally? I would be interested in talking with you more as work on my project.
Hey TokenCanoeGuy, I'm glad you like the videos! For the epoxy, I used West System 105/205. I did not consider vinyl acetate resin, but my knowledge of resins is young. I will say, the epoxy I used would not provide UV protection (which I think is important). If the vinyl acetate would provide that, it may be a better option.
