The point of sanctions is to cripple aggressive countries like Russia or governments with human rights abuses like Assad's regime to weaken them. Sanctions cause a country to struggle, that's the whole point. Companies are not willing to file paperwork and pay a massive amount of fees. Due to the lack of imports and exports a countries GDP goes down a country is forced to make choices, either listen or find countries that will take the risk. This still causes struggles. Sooner or later the government is ousted by their own people.

These sanctions on countries become more and more questionable. There are probably better options.
No it does not or did you forget that you failed to stop ISIS or even stand up them.
Sanctions cause a country to struggle, that's the whole point. Companies are not willing to file paperwork and pay a massive amount of fees. Due to the lack of imports and exports a countries GDP goes down a country is forced to make choices, either listen or find countries that will take the risk. This still causes struggles. Sooner or later the government is ousted by their own people.
@@joshuauriarte452 No, you need to understand Josh, Syria is a failed state. If you try to sanction America you will get "no where" because America's supply chains are within Canada and Mexico. But a lot Middle Eastern countries need American globalization just to survive.
@joshuauriarte452 Exactly that's the point: Sanctions put the main pressure on the respective population and they isolate countries. As we can see, autocratic governments don't change by force but act by counter-measures: war, Brics, etc.. It's no solution. There must be better ways to solve conflicts.
