I feel sorry for Youssef. It's candid how profoundly traumatised and deeply scarred he has become, by his many years spent in jail, feeling and seeing the daily atrocities commited against him and his fellow prisioners.
However, and despite the many faults of the al-Assad's family long and corrupt regime, they were a rare example of secular dictatorship, in a region fraught with religious extremists and fanatics of all ilks.
Having jihadists take over the country is not an improvement, let alone a better medium to long term solution for Syria.

It's a fact that secularism brings no good

No no no after seeing what Youssef endured you can’t be able to mention any “good” thing about Assad’s regime!! Also apparently you still don’t know the half of it, but it’s ok.
I agree, we don’t want to see an islamist dictatorship, but this is a matter of the future. ❤

Assad should be brought to justice by UNHCR for crimes against humanity. Syrians should file legal cases against Assad family for torture & murder

Al-Nusra should also be brought to justice. They massacred many civilians from different minorities. Taking over Syria, does not remove their guilt.
