I think the underappreciated part of Rezero is that it was purposely written to be actually therapeutic to people with certain mental health issues. A large theme in the story is about those that waste away their lives. The MC literally being a shut in neet who closed himself off from the world in which he lived because of some mental issues. The story takes a character like that and literally throws them into a new world and poses the question: "Was the previous world the issue in your life? Been watching and enjoying your videos for a few days now, i think it's about time i subscribed :) Also this show is really good, it's a mystery fantasy thriller with interesting characters and complex storytelling. It does have the usual anime weirdness though, like a centuries-old little girl magician and her flamboyant clown wizard overlord, a cute demon maid that will blow your head off with a morningstar and a cat person whose gender shall remain undisclosed. Still, highly recommend it!
I am wild about OP3. That song, Realize, is in my "listen to every day" anime song playlist. That song HYPES me so hard hard hard. That one kick, right as Subaru takes off on that long, bloody, tortured, determined run, that part of the song always makes me feel like jumping onto my feet, or pulling over the car, or hoping out of bed, and fucking RUNNING towards something I felt was impossible. OP3 tells so much about the anime, without spoiling a thing. The art is amazeballs. His walking past his deaths, then running THRU countless more violent endings.....that shite just inspires me.
The premise of Re: Zero is that a teenage boy from Japan randomly gets transported to another world where he has the ability to go back in time to a certain "save point" whenever he dies. Think of him like a video game character. He dies then he restarts at a certain point. His respawn point changes as he progresses in his goals. It's dark and messed up at times but it's also funny at times and with feels. It's a really good anime especially season 2
if this guy makes a reaction for the whole anime, ill binge watch it. Subscribing so i will remember the channel. I didnt finish this whole video yet, but when you mentioned that you've seen lots of girls in the openings, i assume ur afraid it's a harem anime. It's not harem btw :)
Anime is my favorite already, but the novels make it a masterpiece. I highly recommend watching it, and, if you enjoy it, reading from the beginning in the light novels. The narrration on Subaru's inner thoughts and motivations make some things more clear, as well as making him even more of a top tier character.
Its not trash as some people say, its not a masterpiece either. I personally find it slow at times, but really enjoyable. Having an isekai MC with an actual personality that not everyone loves instantly and who is NOT the best at everything is SO refreshing in the genre.
@@QWERTY-gp8fd Re Zero is a masterpiece and that cannot be denied if you actually look in depth into concepts portrayed throughout the series. Culmination of the slightest, nearly irrelevant factors lead to outcomes that wouldve been seen as unfathomable. Every time throughout the series, Subaru is tested with the path of virtue or the path of sin, such tests are so subtle the normal viewer wouldn't pick them up. SPOILERS AHEAD: - - - An example is episode 7, when Subaru is faced with the path of Pride and Humility. He could've easily defeated an enraged Ram with the aid of Beatrice, but instead, he swallowed his pride and jumped off a cliff to restart. The immense amount of sheer willpower needed to end one's own life, even when you know you will respawn, is still tremendous.
You should watch this show. After the second season that aired this year (ended in march) i would say that is turning into a modern masterpiece. Amazing world building, outstanding story telling, very good characters, and a very "unique" MC. This is not a shounen by any means, this is a very dark isekai anime that focuses much more in the characters that in the fights or conflicts; it's like a character-driven history instead of a plot-driven history.
Plot simply: Guy gets stuck in a fantasy world, where his only power is having save points like in video games. The catch? There is none, if he gets cut, he will twist in pain for minutes before he goes back in time again out of blood loss. He needs to *die* to "use" his powers. It's all about the feeling of inevitability, despair, and the unwavering hope that the actions of one simple powerless man can stop tragedies from occurring, and change the future...
The shows about a guy being transported to a fantasy world. He has no real powers besides the ability to return to a saved point in time everytime he dies. he feels every pain from his deaths and isn't able to tell anyone about the repeats because everytime he tries to it feels like a hand is squeezing on his heart. The girl in white is someone he meets in the first episode and the two come to help and rely on each other. Would definitely recommend watching the show, the op's fit really well for each arc Edit: also it's called re:zero because he's starting from zero each time. He "re"starts from "zero" with each death. He looses the progress he made but he keeps the knowledge and pain he earned along the way Edit 2: I completely forgot about this
A must watch isekai. If Konosuba is considered the peak when speaking about isekai comedies, Re:zero is it's polar opposite. It's a masterfully written, tragic and dark story that constantly challenges Subaru (the protag in the tracksuit) not on a physical level like other isekais, but on a psycological and moral level. The thing is that this story uses the "checkpoint mechanic" in a videogame to emphasize the tragedy and the aspects that constantly attack Subaru throughout the many story arcs. I can go into way more detail, explaining symbology, themes, character arcs, worldbuilding, etc, but if I say any more I would be spoiling the expirience. All I can say it's that this is a thriller and a ride I and many others will never forget.

take it from an isekai connoisseur,iv seen em all, from the classics that most people dont even think are isekai like digimon,to the absolute trash like smartphone isekai....re zero is by far the best isekai out there, nothing even comes close,s1 wile pretty good on its own, only goes up in quality from there,s2 blows it out of the water, and the studio even did some very good practises like no ads and no openings for many episodes just to be able to cram in as much content as posible, and the light novel gets even better over time! if they end this story well,it will go down as one of the best ever
also the bunny scene if you ever watch this show will make you almost feel the pain on the screen:D
Yo, remember that time they excluded season 2's 2nd opening from the anime for 90% of the season?
Also, digimon is best isekai
@@HExtraordinaire not sure if you mean you are glad or not about the opening being excluded,it was good they did so the episode could be longer, and also the op had some pretty nasty spoilers
The credits were scrolling over the 3rd opening because they play it at the end of the first episode of season 2.
Hell yeah this show is good! Subaru is one of my favourite MCs
This show is just Dark Soul's. And the MC have to think how to beat the boss if he want to see the next day.
Yes, it is good, all you need to know) And my favourite opening is the 3rd.
You can also check out the endings, they are amazing as well
Yeah it’s my favorite anime ever, the main character is having the *best* time ever in the new world. He *didn’t* have to go through suffering either.
He’s *not* having a mental breakdown in every 2 episode
A masterpiece of an anime it's hard to get people out here making op reactions to this one for that thx
This show is a masterpiece
Everyday someone signs something that means everything. DocuSign, as real as it gets.
"That bunny looks scary as hell," You have no idea...
Been watching and enjoying your videos for a few days now, i think it's about time i subscribed :)
Also this show is really good, it's a mystery fantasy thriller with interesting characters and complex storytelling.
It does have the usual anime weirdness though, like a centuries-old little girl magician and her flamboyant clown wizard overlord, a cute demon maid that will blow your head off with a morningstar and a cat person whose gender shall remain undisclosed.
Still, highly recommend it!
Best anime I have ever seen. Really well written and intense!
2:15 yeah Funimation does not know how end screens work on YT. They do that with just about every OP they post.
SAME
The premise of Re: Zero is that a teenage boy from Japan randomly gets transported to another world where he has the ability to go back in time to a certain "save point" whenever he dies. Think of him like a video game character. He dies then he restarts at a certain point. His respawn point changes as he progresses in his goals. It's dark and messed up at times but it's also funny at times and with feels. It's a really good anime especially season 2
Re Zero is basically Dark Souls anime
hearing the opening on Re: Zero. That's a cute joke.
I love who I am is the most important message of this show
Why is that?
@@Scootx Because of the recurring theme of self-loathing and depression.
Opening 3 he walk upon all his deaths so far not only the headless death.
21th most popular show on MyAnimeList, only two seasons. that's all i've got to say.
Hi scoot
I discovered your channel by jojo's and now I'm loving your reactions 😃
Thank you so much for the support! Means a lot 😊
Bro you should react to the Overlord Openings they're all bangers and the anime is Hella interesting!
This is my absolute favorite Isekai, and I’m a huge fan of the genre. You gotta check it out man it’s fire.
I for sure am
This show is basically an average person trying to achieve all the endings in a videogame at max difficulty and in new game +
Why do I like to watch people reacting to anime openings? haha loved it
Damn, I finished the show around 2 weeks ago and I kinda miss it already
if this guy makes a reaction for the whole anime, ill binge watch it. Subscribing so i will remember the channel.
I didnt finish this whole video yet, but when you mentioned that you've seen lots of girls in the openings, i assume ur afraid it's a harem anime. It's not harem btw :)
Im sure many and myself Will recommend you this anime so much it is a Great anime
Anime is my favorite already, but the novels make it a masterpiece. I highly recommend watching it, and, if you enjoy it, reading from the beginning in the light novels. The narrration on Subaru's inner thoughts and motivations make some things more clear, as well as making him even more of a top tier character.
I Hope this youtuber getting popular
highly recommended as one of my favorites
Mans didn’t see him get stabbed in the heart by a big ass hand 💀😂 i mean the end card shit was somewhat covering it
THE BUNNY IS SCARY 😭
scoot : look at that bunnies, what happen
me : how do i tell him ? ._.
Hmm as a re zero fan let him learn by himself
Let him test suffer
Its not trash as some people say, its not a masterpiece either.
I personally find it slow at times, but really enjoyable. Having an isekai MC with an actual personality that not everyone loves instantly and who is NOT the best at everything is SO refreshing in the genre.
Re zero is a masterpiece. Saying it's any less is disrespectful to the blood sweat and tears put into writing Re:Zero.
@@rip_conf6186 its no masterpiece in the writing. see steins gate. but still good shit. best isekai for sure
@@rip_conf6186 ep 7 is wrath and patience, pride is from arc 1 in the alleyway when he called for help and Reinhard showed up
@@QWERTY-gp8fd Ehh Re:Zero is much better Steins;Gate. Re:Zero is deep fantasy series while Steins;Gate flat sci-fi.
The premise is he dies then he doesn't but then he keeps dying till he gets the girl
the answer is YES.
at least Season 1 and Season 2 ep 4 only.
It's not dark sould on difficulty mode, it's a kid playing dark souls for the first time with hallowed, which means no armour or stronng armout
bro yes its one of the best
Plot simply:
Guy gets stuck in a fantasy world, where his only power is having save points like in video games.
This show is fucking goated
The shows about a guy being transported to a fantasy world. He has no real powers besides the ability to return to a saved point in time everytime he dies. he feels every pain from his deaths and isn't able to tell anyone about the repeats because everytime he tries to it feels like a hand is squeezing on his heart.
The girl in white is someone he meets in the first episode and the two come to help and rely on each other.
Would definitely recommend watching the show, the op's fit really well for each arc
Edit: also it's called re:zero because he's starting from zero each time.
He "re"starts from "zero" with each death. He looses the progress he made but he keeps the knowledge and pain he earned along the way
Edit 2: I completely forgot about this
Ohhh ok yeah the title makes a lot of sense now
1 year later but due to the savepoints it isn't really "from zero"
Even the people that don't like season 1 (not many) love season 2.
This show is like playing Minecraft on Hardcore difficulty and you can't pick up any items with the only thing you can actually do is respawn.
my man wearing a jacket and has his ac on
the premise of the show is death, death, and more death, topped with some crying and a little bit more death.
Yeah man, Subaru’s my favourite MC hands down
THIS ANIME IS VERY GOOD. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
If I were to explain why Re:ZERO is the best isekai, you would be here all day
it's my favorite anime/LN the writing is god tier level
This show is a great show to watch alongside jojo. Idk why they don’t have anything in common with each other other than the fact that they are fucking good. Like the type of good that makes you think about it long after you’ve finished watching the show.
Actually i am confident to say that whatever current anime that you are watching rn, re zero is better
He’s got Return by Death
If u want to know. The op 4 (S2 op 2) Is perfect with that ark. And for bunnies...Probably the most traumatizing thing you will ever seen in this show.
Fun fact if you slow done the first second of the first opening you will see some demonic things
how did he not figure out part of the show from op 3 😭
read the Manga before watching the Anime...big fan of Manga adaptations
Subaru has the worst time ever: the anime 🤣🤣🤣
All seriousness tho it is a must watch, fucks with you mentally & can be gory I guess, but is an amazing story
my favorite show
