Yoooo, Whats up chefs! This is an In Depth Bard Build & Class Guide. If you think I missed anything or have ANY additional questions make sure to make a comment down below and Ill get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for all the support you guys are the best :D Additionally I wanted to add, Charismatic Performance is extremely intricate and has a lot of niche ways it can be used such as a song with 6 or more notes you can technically skip two notes in a row as long as you hit every other note perfectly. With that being said, make sure you fiddle around with charismatic performance yourself to see if there are any specific ways you prefer to play the songs but the ways I showcased in the video at 10:27 are still how I play them to this day and find my success :)
Hi there. I know this isn't exactly the vid to say to say it but, I followed your guide for the cave troll and after a few hours of trying I can say that I am now able to beat the cave troll thanks to you. Your guides are great and I hope more people can use them. Thank you very much for all the hard work you put into your videos.

Re: song order I find it useful to play Rousing once more to round off my buff cycle, since it has a 90s duration while the rest are 120s. This keeps it from falling off early, keeping me buffed as hell the whole time. Banger video!
Appreciate the compliment brotha! Glad the guide turned out alright, I felt a little uneasy about this one because trying to explain the intricacies of bard in a way that even a new player can understand was challenging 😂 Also I agree with the rousing rhythms part, I used to try doing it that way rousing at the beginning and end but ended up never building up the new habit 😂
If you die as a bard or you're totally at ground zero try bringing tranquility because when you rest or if you're a new player you'll have a better chance at higher health from the song vs players and other PVE if you or your friends are still learning. While there isn't a direct counter to bard if you're new to the game it still has a high learning curve. If you're broke play a quick round as another character like cleric or fighter and regain your profits to get the survival bow or falchion as the bard and experiment between rapier mastery and other weapons. Some of the other perks are worth trying out for utility when looting etc
After seeing this video i finally found the courage to try bard after wanting to play it for a few days now and holy fuck is that class fun i guess i found my new main thanks for that :D
This is actually gonna help me a lot fr, since i main bard and mainly solo, the way i have my songs i usually need quite a bit of mem cap and knowledge stacked, but with a green or above lute getting that knowlegde stat for aria and lament is gonna be insane. since the order i have my songs in at the moment is: Rousing Rhythms, Beats of Alacrity, Shriek of Weakness, Harmonic Sheild, Ballad of Courage, Aria of Alacrity ( and thats where my base knowlegde falls off), Lament of Languor (Rousing Rhythms gives me that song, so there are my buffs and PvP songs in order), Tranquility (Helps a lot and saves me a lot of meds), Piercing Shrill, and lastly Unchained Harmony. But if i change the order of songs, i can have Tranquility after Ballad Of Courage so Rousing Rythms gives me that and then i just make sure i have a lil money in the bank so i can always rock a green or blue Lute and i unlock those other songs for free, making me stack a lot less Knowlegde and mem cap, and can go for the other stats you showed in the video. This is going to help me soooo much aye mate. Thanks a lot
Thanks for the guide! Really appreciate the lute tip for song memory priority/knowledge efficiency. Can you go into a little more detail about the preference for rondel dagger over rapier?
I’ve mainly just been enjoying it because it allows me to outplay people in doorways since the rondel can fight in a doorway but most weapons can’t cause they’ll hit the wall. Outside of that I just really like the rondel attack pattern compared to the rapier and since you can hug the enemy with the rondel you’ll be getting hit by the sour spot of most other peoples weapons which makes you take less damage :)
For charismatic performance unless they changed it from last season you can skip the two notes back to back it doesn’t have to be every third note. It just depends on how many notes there are in each song
I think you're definitely correct its why I was able to skip the first and fourth note of Unchained Harmony at 06:35 - And this is something I already knew but for some reason whenever I explained it I didnt word it in the best way possible, honestly Im not even sure still what the best way to word it is without it sounding confusing but something like for every 3 notes in a song you can skip one note so a song with 6 total notes you should be able to skip 2 or something like that. But honestly Charismatic performance is such a confusing perk for beginners and there is no easy way to determine exactly how it works so I think my explanation covered the main points at least and should give people a pretty good understanding of when and how to use it
I was gonna play bard for the quest this wipe to give kills to others, hoping to get good karma and find more on my fighter. Now I just actually like playing bard so this is very helpful
Important note: Start your song rotation with Rousing Rhythms for the +2 all, do your other songs, then do Rousing Rhythms again. It has a shorter duration than the others, but since you're already buffed by it, you get the added song duration for the second play, and it will tine out ckoser to the others. My instruments are usually lute on 3, and the others on 4, but I also like taking Reinforced Instruments and trying to club people to death with my lute.
Sick guide chief, very helpful, the song cancel tip is insanely useful and make the class feels so much smoother. Btw why do you crouch at the end of every song? Is this a time optimization ? Thanks for the guide brother
hey there I'm about 10 hours into the game and started with bard. Is there a catch to, why the squire can't supply me with a bow for base gear? Do i have to unlock it first? And thank you for your work you put in this guide. I learned a lot.
Hey man, I’ve learned a lot from your videos got Barbie to lvl 33 then got leg now trying warlock, and bard. Idk how I feel about warlock I need all his passives unlocked I feel, and bard is odd, and it’s intriguing. Your videos are my Goto when looking guides up. For a part in another video could you show a few different kits at different price points. Like what gear you are prioritizing with 500 gold, and then have a 1000 gold kit and so on
Bro is sleeping on Song of Shadow. In trios/duos it's a massive song since it lets you turn your teammates invisible while they rest, pop a surgical kit, reload a windlass, etc making sure they aren't disturbed. It can also help set up huge group ambushes and drop mob aggro. With good coordination it is definitely an honorable mention.
@@emirwattabor6991 interesting, I didn’t know it could be used in all of those methods, I knew some of them but not all. I do talk about it in my song tier lost video though and I think I rank it B tier for trios
@@VinisKitchen22 as long as they don't move or start doing anything after it's applied, it stays active. So that means if your teammates starts popping a surgical kit, and then you apply song of shadow, the song of shadow won't drop until they move or do something else after the kit finishes.
Completing quests will unlock additional items in your squire. For example, the bow unlocks after completing the first quest from the woodsman where you need to turn in 5 campfires :)
Bard is the only class that I've tried enough that I've noped out of. Considering it for this season or the next, specifically for solo play. Is the Harmonic Shield music not relevant in solo? Secondary question, how do you feel about bringing only three instruments, forgoing the Lute? Which songs would you recommend then? Third question, with 3/4 instruments, bandages and potions, this leaves little room for torches. How do you feel about lantern shield, or do you rely on your map knowledge and go torchless?
I noticed the songs move on from one to the next after you play them, is this in the settings? Whenever I play it doesn't seem to switch and I'd have to hold Q and select the next one.
Nah there’s no setting haha, I’m still changing my songs by holding Q and selecting the next one it’s just really fast that the song wheel doesn’t even pop up 😅 I’ve played mainly Bard and Warlock while playing DAD so I’ve just gotten really quick at changing spells/songs and I have all of their locations memorized :)
Thanks for this guide i was wondering for a solo bard is the instrument only playstyle viable? I like the idea of throwing drums at people and smacking them with lute. lol I know they have a dmg perk using instrument as a wep and the increase move spd holding a instrument seem like it be good.

@@emeraldt9916 I have only tried it minimally but unless people start to find some crazy ways to use the riposte that makes it really strong I dont think there is much use in the lantern shield currently :)
Yes it does, however the stats are not very useful on Bard outside of the song capacity. But if you’re playing duos or trios with a caster than you can slot an additional 3 song cap worth of songs because once you’re in game you’ll get it from the story teller buff.
Hi! I really want to learn bard, I am playing only for one day and I have no gear. Can I donate you for explaining how can I effectively play damage bard with out the blue lute? Just what skills to take and what order to play them. I have the free game and I just want to run with starter ammunition.
Without the blue lute I would just remove Piercing Shrill from the setup and keep everything else the same and that should allow you to play all of your songs :)
can you get a hat with your base gear and if so, how? i'm lvl 1 bard so i guess i cant use a green lute to get the extra spells you mention? I just live in the under 24 gear score lobbies lol
Yessir, Ideally you make enough gold so you can just have a couple kits ready to go in the stash when you die or just buy another one and run it back :D
Potentially, it is really strong but its hard for me to say for sure if thats the spot they should target on Bard, I want to say they should just make other classes stronger though because bard feels good and Id rather them make other classes feel good than just make bard feel worse if that makes sense 😁
I have a question, does green lute put me over 25 gear score? because i tried running the rondel dagger solos setup with squire gear and grey bow but i found out i can't play Aria of Alacrity, how would you set that up if you would run less than 25 gear score?
Currently a green lute or blue lute even shouldnt put you above 25 gear score, I think a blue lute is 8 Gear score to be specific but if you wanted to do it without a green lute I would probably run Rousing Rhythms, Beats of Alacrity, Ballad of Courage, Aria of Alacrity, Lament of Languor, Shriek of Weakness and Unchained Harmony. All of those songs together should be 16 total song capacity which you get in default gear with Rousing Rhythms.
If youre talking about like the one empty slot on my right song wheel at 04:58 then its just because I usually use that slot for Harmonic Shield and I like to build up muscle memory for certain songs being in certain slots and find myself getting mixed up if Im putting multiple songs in the same slot at different times. Essentially all that to say thats my Harmonic shield slot but since Im not running Harmonic Shield for solos I just like to leave it empty so I keep the muscle memory intact. If youre talking about why I just have multiple empty slots in general then thats because I dont have enough knowledge to slot more songs and dont prioritize building knowledge for more songs over just building combat stats because I feel like you can get the best songs and the ones that are realistic to use in a solos environment with default knowledge assuming you use the tips I give about how to get an extra 5 song capacity without having to build any knowledge on your gear 😁

I recommend rapier master for solos, duos and trios. I just mention that I’ve personally been running something different for solos recently that’s been working for me
Personally I dont because I dont think the buff duration or interaction speed is very valuable in solos. Even in trios its a lot worse than it used to be because resourcefulness no longer increases the duration of accelerando or allegro which is what made it useful before. Now its just increasing the duration of buffs that already last pretty long and your debuffs but I think other combat stats are just much more effective currently :)

You can see Squire setup at 9:48, Its still exactly like that but now I have the straw hat in my squire as well :D
And, whats happens when you died AND lose your loot, yo simply start again searching all the loot?
Yessir, Ideally you make enough gold so you can just have a couple kits ready to go in the stash when you die or just buy another one and run it back :D
How do you even play the instruments? I hit Q and E and left click bit nothing happens...
I think you have to right click to start the music if I remember correctly :)
Do you think shriek needs a nerf
When your buffing how are you switching songs so fast without holding Q or E? I noticed you just instantly swap
I do hold Q and E Ive just gotten the positions memorized that its so quick that the wheels dont show up on the screen haha :)
War song works on solos?
Yeppers :D
i have a question why do you keep empty slot for you'r song ?
If youre talking about like the one empty slot on my right song wheel at 04:58 then its just because I usually use that slot for Harmonic Shield and I like to build up muscle memory for certain songs being in certain slots and find myself getting mixed up if Im putting multiple songs in the same slot at different times. Essentially all that to say thats my Harmonic shield slot but since Im not running Harmonic Shield for solos I just like to leave it empty so I keep the muscle memory intact.
If youre talking about why I just have multiple empty slots in general then thats because I dont have enough knowledge to slot more songs and dont prioritize building knowledge for more songs over just building combat stats because I feel like you can get the best songs and the ones that are realistic to use in a solos environment with default knowledge assuming you use the tips I give about how to get an extra 5 song capacity without having to build any knowledge on your gear 😁
the way you stare into my soul scares me
Told my friends I’d use this character and now it turns out it’s complicated af 🤣
I cant Play any Songs anymore, it says "overloaded" 😮😢
Make sure you are using rousing rythyms and a green or higher quality lute I explain it in depth at 05:08 😁
@@VinisKitchen22 yes But i am Just grinding using the 50 percent DMG Perk and the movement Speed Perk for carrying Instrument. I havent figured Out how to get Out from dung yet. Pretty hard to read a minimap.
It IS Strange, music used to Work all the time then Just stopped.. IT IS Not that i have unequipped Something.
@@AperyGra I’m on my phone so I can’t link it but if you’re playing goblin caves then go check out my guide to the dungeon video and look for the chapters around 12 minutes that talk about how and where to extract, I include a map in there that shows where all of the extracts are located every game :)
@@VinisKitchen22 so apparently it is not overload the Problem because i switched perks and it does Not Tell overload anymore. The Problem is when i right click and hold to make a song it just stops almost at Song start. I have 14 memory capacity and i am at Level 6. Knowledge is 20.
Last Update: It Looks Like i need to right click with Rhythm in Order for the Song to Work but i am doing Something wrong so i either get all Red or Not enough White to keep playing.
this build is such a troll for duos and trios rapier master is too op to dont pick it
I recommend rapier master for solos, duos and trios. I just mention that I’ve personally been running something different for solos recently that’s been working for me
Why don't you focus on building Resourcefulness on your stats?
Personally I dont because I dont think the buff duration or interaction speed is very valuable in solos. Even in trios its a lot worse than it used to be because resourcefulness no longer increases the duration of accelerando or allegro which is what made it useful before. Now its just increasing the duration of buffs that already last pretty long and your debuffs but I think other combat stats are just much more effective currently :)
@@VinisKitchen22 Fair enough, I'm new to Bard this wipe but I've been trying to build 30 Dex / 30 Agi / 30 Resourcefulness as a base to my kits. I hate playing the music, but the class is so strong in my 3 man team comp I can't help it :')
@@Snacks6o4 yeah it’s super good in trios, I also probably have to prioritize vigor and strength more since I mainly play solos
@@VinisKitchen22 I play with a Fighter / Barb in my group so I'm either buff + crossbow bitch or I'm fighting 1v3 for my life 🤣
How u have bows and armors and stuff i dont have on the squire?
You need to do the quests
y4mi better
oh aight
What skin should I use?
I hope they change allegro and accel to scale again 🥲😭
Buff ball might’ve been a little too op because of that 😂
