Bro absolutely humiliated that warlock who interrupted the skeleton mage demonstration😂
Facts, dude kinda made me a little upset the way he came in blasting like that while I was just trying to get some footage 🤣
OMG the big centipede is so annoying. THANKS A LOT much needed content for my noob-ass
No problem! Yeah the poison spit can be very very annoying at times and they do a ton of damage if you get hit with the bite, but once you know that you can just run around him in a circle to the right the whole time it becomes a lot easier! :D
Teabagging every enemy is an absolute brilliant part
Yeah, the goblins been killing too many new players, had to get some payback for the homies fr 😂
Throwing the bongo at the mummy was crazy
For centipede I would actually prefer to just react to the green and dodge the spit but I will admit when he does the running away animation sometimes he can spit at the same time and there will be no proper tell to dodge it. Also that skeleton champ cheese spot is dangerous as he can easily break the boxes and new players will learn the hard way.
Yeah Ive encountered the centipede doing the two things at once before and it can be pretty annoying because he literally just does the spit while hes doing his little slithery dance animation lmao 😂
As for the skele champ stuff yeah I dont disagree, but he shouldnt break the boxes as long as you dont get right next to him and cause him to attack since youre so much higher than him it should be pretty easy to avoid. But I also lined out the way to kill him regularly as well and honestly Im sure you can remember from when you were a new player but there are so many things in this game that people are going to have to learn the hard way at least once or twice and Im not sure there is any video that could remove that part of the process, its just part of the game haha :)
@@VinisKitchen22 You'll see kobold archers do it too when they dance and call for backup and shoot at the same time. Bolas and goblins too maybe haha
So glad to hear that they made the rockfall easier. As a wizard, it was so annoying to get immediately killed during that part lol
Also if youre struggling with the troll or cyclops, while learning the bosses it can sometimes help to remove all of your armor and shield (if you have one) to get a little bit of extra movespeed, since youll probably get one shot either way if you get hit... 🤣
A very useful video for someone like me, who's just starting out. Thanks for taking the time to make this!
Thanks for all the clear and precise information!
I really enjoyed how you present demonstrations in this guide, amazing video hope to see more like this
Thank you very much, you told everything in detail and showed.
Coming back to this game is great, even better with your guides man!
Thanks so much! Also, Im glad to hear youre getting back into the game, thats sick! :D
You can crouch, look down and circle the axe skeleton counter clockwise which is an easier dodge, especially for nightmare axe skeleton.
This is the first video I saw from your channel. Good stuff man! keep up with the good work.
Thanks brotha! I really appreciate that and Im just glad I can help :D
AMAZING vid! very helpful
Great video - going to be sharing this in the Hall of Knights Discord with all of the new players :)
Thanks so much! And Wow!!! I just joined the Discord server and saw where you included my video and Im honored to be included amidst that post and really appreciate it! :D
I posted a new video today that covers Everything related to gear and stats starting with "the basics of gear", to defining and explaining every random modifier and providing a generalized ranking for them, then it provides a breakdown of the top 5-10 best stats for Every class in Solos (For certain classes its for certain builds such as Slayer Fighter or Torture Mastery Warlock but most of them are just generic) and then finally it includes me building an entire kit for bard using the marketplace. It was definitely the most challenging video Ive ever created and compiled a ridiculous amount of information that was provided in an informative way at its core but I did my best to make sure it was engaging for the audience at the same time. The feedback on the video so far has been fenominal so Ill link it to you here in case you wanted to check it out and see if there was a place for it in the discord as well :D If not its more than understandable and you should feel no pressure to do so, just wanted to bring it to your attention because I constantly have people asking me about the stats in this game and whats good vs bad/what to build on this or that class. th-cam.com/video/AFT_M0MCojk/w-d-xo.html
Once again, thanks so much for the compliment and the even bigger compliment of choosing to include it in the Hall of Knights Discord
Your the real mvp bro big thanks for the video and all efforts that went into making this. Love the dark and darker community.
I really appreciate that brotha! Glad I could help and I definitely want to do my best to encourage new players to keep getting back in the dungeon even after every death and not give up on the game :D
@@VinisKitchen22no problem I subscribed and looking forward to more content
IF A BROTHER CANNOT FIGHT A CENTIPEDE RUN FROM REAL PEOPLE FRFR dark and darker has taught me a lot of valueable lessons
I am very new. I used the chat room thing in game and had someone be pretty much a guide to my first mission. Learned that most encounters will be strafing to get away and backstepping is mostly but not always something to avoid.
And after a few runs, I noticed there were a lot of people dying right from the getgo. But it's been getting better
Yep, a lot of people dying very early on to mobs because this game is sort of like a souls game in that regard where mobs hit like a truck and you cant really afford to be getting hit very often. And yeah backstepping should be avoided when possible but that gets easier as you get more comfortable with the game :D
bruh absolute goat video on the troll… finally i understand whats causing those combos
No problem brotha! I honestly shouldve gone over it earlier in the troll explanation because I think some people probably just didnt watch that far and then got confused why the strategy wasnt working properly when they tried it but at least Im able to learn from that and make sure to include vital details a little earlier :D
These tips we're really good and very easy to understand. 10/10 video
As a barb, i tried to use this for a troll and got absolutely clapped from not being able to move fast enough
Barb can still use this method but it is one of the hardest classes to learn the timing and positioning on because as you mentioned it is really slow and also attacks really slow as well so its a double whammy, however it is still doable just much harder than on a Rogue or Bard for example. If you want to keep trying it on Barbarian I would recommend removing all of your gear to get a little extra movespeed and even consider using a 1 handed weapon during the learning process and then once youve got it down you can switch back to a 2hander, my preferred 2hander for the troll is the felling axe :)
@@VinisKitchen22 thanks man I really appreciate the advice and reply, though my barbarian soul refuses to use a one hander but the rest I will attempt lol
Bardiche helps you get a little bit of range between you and the troll it’s pretty good
Thanks chef! Tryna not end up on the kill feed to anyone but players
I personally killed the Centipede on my first ever game although it took a lot of time, I was a Rogue and noticed you could just run around it in circle while attacking. Probably the easiest "miniboss" by far
Skeleton Guardsman also does a diagonal slash.
Yeah I realized after the fact about that as well. However, that attack to my understanding only comes out as a counter to when you hit their shield, so trying to attack the side of them opposite of the shield should help avoid that from ever occurring :)
Fantastic video man Thank you!!!
@@VinisKitchen22 i was able to defeat the cave troll twice now, super stoked
@@MrGravy_ Lets go, good stuff! A few more kills and itll probably start to feel like muscle memory! :D
I didn't know the rockfall stage had different timings this is very helpful
No problem! Yeah thats a pretty hidden aspect of getting the timing right and once I learned that it made it much easier since if you think they all have the same timing and youre getting hit by one but not the other 3 every time it can be very frustrating and confusing :D
Ran into the centipede the first time yesterday (new player) and my natural instinct was to circle haha ended up killing it. Funny how that is the best method.
Incredible video. Any chance we can get the same for the other maps? :)
Will it ever be possible to get the white skeleton again?
Thank alot for the video, really helped me out. I want to ask which class are you using? And how do u trigger the song of weakness?
Im playing bard and shriek of weakness is one of the song choices on Bard :)
instant sub and like, underrated as fucj
I really appreciate that! Thanks so much and Im glad you liked the video :D
Im working up the gusto to fight the bigger boys. It feels like that centipede takes so many hits. I also feel like they need to increase match time. It feels like I maybe finish looting/clearing 1 mid sized room, and the exit or die phase starts.
The match time should get better as you play more, just a couple days ago I was struggling to clear a full room in High roller Ice abyss and now im comfortably clearing 2-3 every time I go down there. Itll take some time but eventually itll get better :D
Now we need the other maps
Mainly cause the frost skeleton archer. They have 2 attacks. A basic shot. Easy enough and then a back to back shot. And i can never tell which one they are doing.
If i wait after the first shot to tell for a 2nd. If they didnt they have enough time to do another attack before i can hit.
I have a feeling the only hard counrer is to wait for them to do the double shor
Thinking about doing the Frost Caverns map next video but not 100% sure yet :)
Oop, almost forgot to teabag those bola throwers.😂
What is the sweet spot for movement speed to be able to dodge most of the stuff in the game(PvE)? even while dodging I have trouble to get out of the way completely. Any tips are welcomed and much appreciated.
Most things should be dodgable with somewhere around 260 Movespeed or above, things may differ depending on the monster and difficulty grade of said monster though
mans grinding, keep it up this info is great. its yougottalight btw
Yoooo, Whats up light! Appreciate that brotha and yessir the Oven been running overnight the last few days. 🤣
very well done.
Much appreciated! Glad I could provide some quality informative content :D
in the room where he was showing the skeleton mage i encountered a skeleton with a viking helmet i hit him so many times on the head, burnt through all my healing cast purification on him 3 times and he still didn't go down.
Yep, that fella would be the skeleton champion he is quite a bit harder than the skeleton mage but can spawn in the same spot, hes covered later in the video :D
Do bosses have a chance of becoming a harder version like elite or nightmare? or are they always the same
Always the same but there is an elite version of them in Highroller. So, normal games will always have the Normal version of the boss and Highroller will always have elite :)
What do you think about bard this patch? As a new player I tried to get into it, but having 4 out of 6 quick slots locked wasn't great. Constantly buffing wasn't that fun either, so not sure if it's worth it compared to other classes. Opinions about the class vary wildly ^^'
In solos I personally think Bard is definitely within the top 3 strongest classes at the moment.
Although, I do agree that the instruments filling up your utility slots is quite annoying at times, I usually like to slot my drum, lyre and lute on the right side and then a protection pot, then health pot and then my flute on the left side so if I need to use a bandage I can just open my inventory and right click it which replaces my protection pot, then after I bandage I just right click my protection pot and it goes back and replaces the bandage.
As for the buffs, that gets a lot lot better as you get a little bit of extra resourcefulness via gear or the fermata perk which increases the duration of your buff and debuff songs. There is also a lot more to it in regards to properly using charismatic performance to reduce the time it takes to cycle through all of your buffs significantly and ordering your buffs in your song wheel and instruments in your utility slots the correct way for maximum efficiency.
I’ve got an in depth solo bard guide coming out in two days that will go over all of this information and much more though :D
gg
Is the strafe speed faster than the back up speed? Is that why you strafe away from enemies instead of backing up?
i think with how common nightmare mobs are now you should also mention and show those, and with the new ice abyss you'd get a lot of views if you made a guide for that one
Hrmm that’s a good point, not positive yet but I might make a “how to kill all nightmare mobs in Goblin caves and Ice Caves” or something similar, since you are right almost all of them have an additional attack added to their pattern and can actually be very deadly. Personally I’m way more likely to die to two nightmare mobs together than either the cave troll or cyclops even on HR lmao which is kinda funny
Nah, most games are just people dying & then one OP geared player kills the remaining people
True, definitely hoping as more people watch content like this though thatll start becoming less of an issue!
As someone who just started a couple days ago, I think this is my experience. Anytime I see another player, I die. I might try to fight, I might try to run...whatever I do, they'll completely clap me.
If I hear someone coming, I either head in the opposite direction, or extinguish the nearest lightsource and hide. Tons of fun.
Damn spike trap 😂
Facts, he be a real menace at times. Ive seen people with 30k gold kits die to spike traps LOL 🤣
omg please! PLEASE do the other 2 maps and the red one
Im thinking about that because Ive had a lot of requests for it but I will say that "NotLikeThis" has a video for Forgotten Castle and Inferno and "Ryan6DaysAWeek" has a video for ice abyss and Ice caverns Id recommend checking out in the meantime :D
How do you set up your base gear on solo bard?
From the squire I run Wanderer attirer, cloth pants and adventurer boots with a rondel dagger + Buckler and a survival bow. Then I put Drum, Lyre, Lute in that order on my right belt slots and then Prot pot, Health Pot, Flute in that order on my left belt slots. Full Bard build and Class guide is coming out today in about an hour as well :D
Holy shit I think you killed me and my friend on forgotten castle duos! You're insane at this game I was a druid and my friend a Rouge
I don’t play too much forgotten castle but it is possible, thanks brotha! 😁
Cant believe you can dodge the unkillable boss at the end
Haha, it definitely took a fair bit of practice during last wipe but I finally got it down! :D
Where you looking bro? Flip that cam. Thanks for the tips.
He's demonstrating his nearly universal (and effective) tactic: turn right and sidestep lol
Loving the content. And thanks for the help. Can I just ask why a lot of the dodging involves turning and strafing instead of just strafing?
No problem brotha and I appreciate that! Umm thats kind of a complicated question to answer but let me do my best! Also this is for when you need to move away to dodge an attack such as when fighting a goblin swordsman. However, if youre fighting a skeleton spearman for example and hes doing his forward thrust then in those situations its perfectly fine to just strafe left or right since you dont actually need to move away and can dodge it by just sidestepping.
Essentially, When you are facing a mob there are 3 ways you can approach the idea of moving away from them to dodge an attack.
1.) You can hold S (This is the worst because when you hold S you suffer a very large movement speed penalty, this is something you can check in your next pre-game lobby, I dont know the exact amount and cant find it online but it is a significant penalty)
2.) You can turn 180 degrees so youre facing away from the mob and hold W (This is just as good as turning 90 degrees and holding either A or D but it limits your ability to still see the mob or in the case of PVP the player)
3.) You can turn 90 Degrees to the left and hold A or 90 degrees to the right and hold D (This is the best because it still keeps you at max movespeed, the same as if you were just holding W, while also giving you the ability to still see whats going on and it requires less total overall turning of your character)
Hopefully that made sense, lmk if there is something you still want me to clarify :D
Also just one thing to add is that some mobs might have a vertical or forward thrusting attack and also a horizontal attack so while you might be able to dodge the vertical attack by just strafing left or right you dont necessarily know which attack they are going to throw out and you can dodge either of them by just strafing away from the mob.
@@VinisKitchen22 That explains it perfectly. I did not even think about movement speed being affected. Thanks for that.
Saying 90° to the right and staging away with the D key was driving me nuts as all you were doing in the clips was 90° to the left and using the A key😂
You have no idea how many times I felt the same way whenever I was watching back the fully rendered video lmao 😂 I dont know entirely why I was always saying 90 to the right and D key since I do honestly almost always choose to 90 to the left and A key. I think I mustve learned it with the D key or maybe thats how someone originally explained it to me but yeah it definitely bugged me too I wont lie.
"This is the warlock mob and is the easiest mob in the game"
Lmaooooo
Doesn't the Skeleton Champion also has a shield bash option for it's 3rd attack
I have yet to see that attack since the made the changes but I did have one other person mention that as well so it definitely seems possible, if so it’s unfortunate I couldn’t get that attack to come out but I imagine the strategy I was showcasing is probably more effective since it’s very easy to dodge the stab and then punish
@12:40 this is bad info. The third attack can also be a shield bash if youre close
Interesting, I knew it used to have that attack but Ive never seen that attack since they made the changes to the mob. If thats still the case though then thats unfortunate that I missed it but the methods I described should still be more than applicable to defeating him in any case. In theory you probably shouldnt run into that too often though because you need to be a pretty good distance away to dodge his first two attacks.
Thanks for pointing it out though! :D
When I do troll it tends to gravitate towards a wall. How do i prevent it and if it happens how do I safely pull it out without getting screamed?
I think the best way is actually to bait it into screaming at you and then using the debuff method to avoid his attack but hell still move forward quite a bit which will get him off the wall :)
lovely video buddy, but tbh everything in this game is easy to dodge if you have a lot of MS, since I play barbarian with a huge ass 2h weapon, im not as fast as you are so its not as easy, but yeah in theory without weapon out its really easy
Thanks! Yeah on barbarian especially without any additional movespeed from gear it can be a bit challenging. Also, due to the low attack speed youll need to go for less hits in between each of the enemies attacks in order to not get hit :)
@@VinisKitchen22 im trying but your vidéo still a Banger to learn all the different patterns, thanks for that vini
For me the game is a hit and miss. It starts out with a black screen and slowly loads to the main screen. Half the time I get into a match and the screen freezes and I have to force quit with the task manager. The rest of the time the game is quite enjoyable. I already changed the video settings from epic to minimum, but I didn’t mess with anything below the three or four sliders at the top. Is there anything that I can do to fix the slow loads and screen freezes?
Spiders are so anoyying i thought they keep spawning forever at certain locations but no it was pots all along i saw it once but i wasnt sure if it was the pot or the ground, the giant centipede tho it has alot of health to beat with just base gear
Yep I thought that about spiders at first as well and it took me a little while to realize they were coming from a pot, glad I could speed that process up for you :D The Giant centipede definitely has a lot of HP and I honestly wouldnt recommend killing it if you are in default gear except on specific classes like Bard :)

I might but currently there is another youtuber named NotLikeThis who made a video that covers Crypts and Inferno extremely well which Id recommend you check out for that information :D
About dodging troll with watching your debuff timer: this doesn't apply to Cleric 😅
Gotcha! I added the alternative method that I used to use to the pinned comment just now. Alternative to looking at the debuff you can stare at his mouth while he screams and as soon as it closes you can turn 90 degrees to the left or right and then strafe directly away from him with A or D. :D
0:32 "the easiest" .... you mean the questionable hitbox with wings? xD
This is hella true tbh, especially when it’s dark I be missing like 4 attacks in a row on the little flying rats sometimes! 😂
I killed some flying dude with a cleaver and he wasnt in this video. I am pretty sure it was goblin cave so idk.
oooooohhh you're talking about the wraith guys. I don't think there in the goblin cave but you can crouch jump most of their attacks
@@bugone9602 Oh yeah, I was pretty confused at first when he said flying dude with cleaver but bugone is right thats definitely a wrait and they do not have a spawn location in the goblin caves they can only be found in the Ice Abyss and Crypts, but as he said most of their attacks can be dodged by crouching and looking directly down. You can also find any slightly elevated spot to jump on top of and then usually be able to cheese them as well :)
@@VinisKitchen22 Oh I thought there is only goblin cave and ice cave, didnt know about crypt sorry my bad. Thanks for the tips tho!
Was the warlock mob a joke? Thats actual player right? * Also the Centipede is a miniboss? That make sense it was a toughie
Yeah haha the warlock mob was a joke that was definitely a real player. Also yep the centipede is one of two minobosses that can be found in the goblin caves so its one of the tougher mobs, but if you use the strat I show in the video it becomes a lot easier :)
Hey just some correction on the skeletons the guardsman and the sword soldier both have stabs as well
where is giant worm
Giant worm was in the Ruins, which is a map that's no longer in rotation.
There used to be one in goblin caves in the top left, which you had to use a lever to open a door to get to it, but I believe it no longer spawns there. I always check when I'm in that room and it's always just a mummy and a chest.
not even a detailed explanation you are jumping to dodge the troll and theres no mention on it
Thats because jumping is in no way shape or form necessary and I dont recommend you do it 😂, I can also assure you that none of the times I jumped did it make a difference its legit just a bad high apm habit.
@@VinisKitchen22 i see thank you for the detailed reply i am just a newbie frustrated i cant kill troll for 5 hours now pls help is it cuz im using druid dagger? i keep getting hit even if i go right in circle
@@powera12 Youre all good, I recommend circling left around the troll during the fight. Do you know specifically what you are dying to? Is it after he screams at you? Does it seem like hes comboing after his #1 basic attack that I mention in the video?
Also a good way to learn the troll is to just aggro him and do the strategy without attacking him for a few minutes, then once youre comfortable dodging all of his attacks on repeat you can start to add in the part where you go for attacks. If youre circling left he will only have two attacks, the overhead smash which you just dodge to the left and then punish him with attacks and the horizontal club swing which the key for that one is to wait for his arm to come back down to his side and then you can punish him with attacks, if you look to attack him before his arm comes back down to his side then he will follow up the first attack with a devastating combo attack that is very hard to dodge/deal with. So, you just need to make sure you wait for his hand to come back down to his side after that attack before you look to punish.
Please clear your throat and stop faking your deep voice. Its very painful to listen to it and it doesn't make you an alpha male and more like a beta being insecure about his voice. Besides that thank you for this video, you helped a lot.
No problem for the video, glad I could help! Ill look into what you mentioned by showing the footage to some people around me IRL and see if they notice a difference, I dont feel like Im "faking a deep voice" in any way though and rather trying to ensure that Im speaking at the same volume level and providing a clear voice recording as much as possible, which similarly to if youre giving a speech to a public audience is going to sound differently than if youre chatting with your friend over some drinks. If I was faking my voice at any part I can assure you it was the intro where I intentionally set out to try and have a "youtuber" type voice by raising my pitch, sounding energetic, uplifting, etc.
@@VinisKitchen22 Glad u didnt took my comment as a offence. If u dont fake your voice than try to capture the moment when u end a word with a sound like this th-cam.com/video/WDfJn1kcQuU/w-d-xo.html U sound a little bit like that girl

Another way to deal with the troll scream alternative to looking at the debuff is to do the same steps such as standing still at a medium range, sheathing your weapons if you want to be extra safe then instead of watching the debuff stare at his face and as soon as his mouth closes/right before it closes (Either works because the timing window isnt extremely narrow) turn 90 degrees to the left or right and strafe directly away from him with your A or D key depending on which direction you turned to.
