When Kediss is also a pirate it should have resulted in six total treasures because there will be 3 instances of the damage across multiple players. 2 for Kediss and Malcolm hitting in the regular damage phase (Y'all are correct in Spectral Sailor not contributing at this time), then 2 more when Kediss triggers on itself and 2 more when Kediss triggers on Malcolm hitting. It's highkey gross!

Ayy that's what I was coming down to the comments to ask! Thanks for explaining. So the Attack and 2 Kediss triggers were each a separate instance of "One or more pirates dealing damage". That's a really simple but cool combo
@@Alwayz114 I don't get it, why would it be two instances of one or more pirates? Malcolm ability only triggers once
@@gccstan31 Malcolm's ability triggers whenever one or more pirates you control deal damage to your opponents. Importantly, this is NOT combat damage and it triggers every time (even multiple times in a turn) whenever some amount of pirates deal damage to opponents.
The game "sees" triggered abilities as different instances of damage. So, there's one Malcolm trigger from the Combat Damage phase, then another trigger from Kediss' ability because Malcolm hit, then a third trigger from Kediss' ability because Kediss hit (and because Kediss is a pirate due to Captain's Hook).
As always the episodes are really, really entertaining. I love the fact that every player has his character traits and brings a certain dynamic to the table. I'm just wondering why no one was annoyed by the dealbreaker from Gabriel. In my playgroup that would almost be a gamebreaker, in a sense that the betrayer would be "killed on sight" in future games.

Paul looks so good! The combo of the new haircut + those ear studs is doing it. It was fantastic to see Matthew do his Ashling thing and it was funny seeing Gabriel play what felt very much like an Esmond deck too.

20 dollars is a big strech though, I feel like 50 to 100 is more resonable even for budget.

Love the episode! I laughed too hard when the deck switch idea failed in a glorious way. Game play was fun like always and the budget restriction was refreshing to see!

A fun Kediss deck I run is Kediss and Keleth, with 0 creatures in the 98! Just a bunch of equipments, enchantments, and instants to rush out the commander damage! It's very fun, good games it finishes turn 5-7, and is silly to imagine the lizard on the horse
Budget mtg is the true heart and spirit for mtg for me, there’s sort of a built in power limit and a plethora of options of deck archetypes
Can't wait till the 20 000 000 celebration episode; where you all make 20 000$ budget decks.

It's much better that you each ended up playing your own decks. If you're going to pass your decks you should have a challenge to build the worst deck with restrictions like number of creatures, mana values and lands must be included.
