Love your track layout! I still got my huge setup on the wood floor. Love doing videos like you, keep having fun brother it's all about slot cars! #slotcarsareback
The printed borders are fantastic, nice job. It's easy to get caught up in the social media side and realise you're not running enough laps. We had the same thing recently and rectified it. 😊
I am happy with it so far. I have been goofing around all day on it today, so probably going to try to get some lap times recorded early next week and share out the results! Thanks for watching, keep it in the slot!
I have a 250 foot three tier carrera track that I have had for about 10 years. One of the beautiful things about a plastic track layout is the ability to change layouts. I have found that about every two or so racing seasons (winter) I will make some type of change. Sometimes little sometimes bigger.
Awesome track well done. Have you 3dprinted the track shoulders as well or just the fences? If printed, do you notice any grip difference on the PLA vs the standard carrera plastic?
I have found a little bit of strait track is needed before a lane change. The problem is when the cars are going fast the sensor will not line up to activate the lane change. This may only happen with 124 scale cars. As I do not have any 132 cars to test.
Great video bro!! Love the layout. I’m not a big fan of over/under passes. Love your black shoulders . A lot better than the red and white. May need to invest in a 3d printer to get me some of those. I have a double pit lane and will invest in another one for the pace car. What’s the dimensions of your track? 8x16?
Thanks for the video! I have several questions that you may have addressed in your previous videos on this layout: what are the dimensions of your layout board/table? After the new 15 feet, how long is your track overall? Finally, you don't use any banked curves and I was wondering why not? I have none myself, but was thinking about throwing one (or two) in. Any advice you have is greatly appreciated!
The table is 7ft x 14ft The new track length is about 60ft I haven't used any banked curves simply because they limit what cars can be used, and I have heard that they are nearly impossible to use without magnets. I use magnets right now, but I don't want to be limited in the future! Hope this helps!
That's a great question. To be honest I am not sure why I haven't shown more cars on the track. I am planning on keeping the camera rolling while I set some track records on the new layout. If it turns out well you may get your wish and see some cars racing on a track!
Love the new layout!
I am really digging it! I have made just a few tweaks, so I will share the reason behind those tweaks in a future video

Glad you like it! I am almost ready for a new layout. Work travel is crazy right now so probably coming early Fall!
I really like that track and no space was wasted ,flowing curves and a nice straight ...perfect 👌...Harry
Thanks! Working on an episode with some cars running around the track! Stay Tuned!
I like the new track layout. It solved your elevated track issue, which I will consider on my next layout. I do like flat track. Nice!
Glad you like it!I solved the elevation issue before I made the change. I just haven't perfected it enough to share on the channel. Coming soon!
Track has got a great flow
Thanks! It has been a lot of fun so far
You’re a good story teller lol. Love your track man.
Thanks brother, that means a lot! I am really digging the new track too!
Looks great! Shared to slot car misfits of all scales on Facebook
Thanks!
Looks good! I like your changes and how you varied the turns…should give you some nice flow. Keep up the great work! 👍
Thanks for the support! Keep 'er in the slot!
Very Nice! What is the overall length and width of the area for your track? 🏁
My tables are 3.5 x 7 feet. I have four of them set up right now, so the total surface area is 7 x 14 feet.
Thanks! I love the design and can't wait to see what decor you put on it also.🏁
Thank you!
The new layout looks great, cant wait to see what kind of times you get on it

Yeah man! Great job. looks really good
Thanks! Keep 'er in the slot!
Well done! I always enjoy track changes!!
It rejuvenates the slot car soul! Thanks brother, keep it in the slot!
Like the new layout. I am going to redo mine once my new track pieces arrive!
Thanks, I am considering another re-design and starting to make the layout permanent with some scenery. We'll see though...
Great work Pete!
Liking the new lay out!
I have already been having a blast with it! Gonna shoot a video this week timing each of my cars on it! Stay tuned, and keep it in the slot!

I love that I get to change it up!
Great video nice and clean .im a HO guy but your setup is pretty sweet
Thank you!

I did an entire video on the borders, but in short: yes they are 3d printed.

That is typically true. I haven't had any issues yet!
Defiantly good sight lines should be a priority. I have to do a flat layout until I get a new garage door.
I am digging the flat layout so far!
Nice job Pete. Did you say in your vid that you printed that barrier fencing yourself?
Yes I did! I have a video about the crash barriers and fences. Take a look!

The table is 7x14. Sounds like a strange size, but that is what worked well to sit on top of the folding tables that are supporting them!

Happy to help!
New subscriber. Are you using track planning software or just your own creativity?
I use Autorennbahnplaner software
Why is that almost all Slot Car TH-cam channels rarely and I mean very seldom ever show any slot car racing?
