Maybe it was made for a concept weapon for Vergil to have some kind of battle puppet or his devil trigger clone, but it got scrapped, so the line was unused.
“My son means nothing to me”
:(
Oh Vergil is just being a big tsundere

Ooooh, thanks for this! It adds to the banter we don't see (I fricking knew Dante had to acknowledge the doppelgänger somehow!)
Yeees, it’s pretty strange that they are unused, since they are pretty good for their fight
@@Daigron mods will do
@@fernosbonos5394 as modder I would say nope,. By now we don’t know how to trigger unused lines. Only replace existent one
What line acknowledges that?

There's some additional dialogue in 19 and 20 in Vergil's campaign that I've never seen uploaded either.
I know. But this video about boss Vergil, not boss Dante. I might upload it, when I will feel like it 😄
0:57 “This is more than enough for your little puppet!”
How do you trigger that voice line from Dante?
I think it’s unused
Maybe it was made for a concept weapon for Vergil to have some kind of battle puppet or his devil trigger clone, but it got scrapped, so the line was unused.
I think it’s the doppleganger
I don't know if I'm hallucinating, but I'm sure I heard it after defeating the doppelganger
