(Also, if anyone else is wondering, this was planned to be in one take fight, no deaths, but free time for me is small nowadays & I have to rely on quad S & infinite DT on the later clips to finish it quickly =_= PLUS with deaths!)

I have that opinion with every game I play, for example when I see a fight I want to see tension, stomping ur opponent removes the feel, I sometimes even let enemies half hp if I'm sure I can win on full

It is better then duel, but not really fitting. After this kind of soundtrack you would expect someone to die by the end of this battle and not end with a line "Nero is my Son?".

@@rosinaya I don't have the time/willpower/reflexes to do combo mads, but I think, perhaps, taking hits intentionally can be used as choreography. The combo vids are a form of personal expression, and being able to take a hit for effect, while still looking good would only impress me even more.
Come to think of it, there's one vid by Moike Kob, who does God Hand combos, where he sets it up so the fight sways back and forth between Gene and the Devil Hand. ofc, godhand is a game so goofy as to make DMC look like shakespere, but it was creative and really cool.

I may be looking into this too much, but I like how at the 2:20 mark when Dante gets impaled, he DTs out of it, it’s like a callback to how he awoke his devil side in DMC3.

in DMC3 and DMC1 he relied on his weapons for the Devil Trigger, when dante was stabbed by alistor, it was just a trap meant to try killing him, of course that literally doesn't do much for dante and he just gets up and picks the sword up.

7:41 sounds and looks perfect, with how berserk Vergil goes. It's like he's doubling down, refusing to acknowledge that maybe, just maybe, his brother was right.
Honestly the best vergil fight ive ever seen. I hate all fights where the player just stomps him. I love seeing 2 brothers duking it out, both taking damage. That + the speed of the fight, the lighting in the 2nd phase, great syncing of his theme with the gameplay and the end where vergil wins makes this my #1 vergil fight. Absolutely love this video. Great work man.
Yeah honestly. While the techniques used in DmD no damage Vergil videos are very impressive, it makes Vergil look like a little bitch. This video actually looks like two brothers of equal power going all out at each other and make it more immersive.

7:46 is my fav part, with how the song and his line of "DANTE!" feels so synced and emotional.
This whole vid was just more emotional than how the fight usually is.
When Vergil went Sin, his lyrics kicked in, AND the rain started, I had to sadly look away for just a second to like the video immediately. That was so damn good; unlike other fights I've seen that tried to make it seem like Dante and Vergil were even and so let the latter get hits in, this nailed the feeling of it really being anyone's match with the way that you genuinely seemed overwhelmed once or twice by how fast Vergil was. Especially coupled with the few game-over points to make it look like Dante is straight up forced to his knees; and ending with him not being able to stand back up with Vergil in the background was spectacular.
I think this is a bit stronger than devil mode and not sin, cuz dante made him swing while he was in his dm. Or he's just stronger holy mother maria.

I honestly dig this "rusty" gameplay. Most gameplays are DmD no damage videos that make me feel so $hit at the game and goes full bukkake on Vergil. This kind of gameplay with mishaps here and there, getting hits and mod that gives Vergil more power make it more realistic since, storywise, Vergil and Dante are suppose to be somewhat equal in terms of power.
Meat IS RAWW well it is Vergil’s theme. So it wouldn’t make sense if he was getting his ass kicked if his theme was playing lol

And that transition, that climax, when Vergil enters his DT mode and music on the background just turns that vocal part... that's just like boss fights in Metal Gear Rising : Revengeance. If you wish to compare those, review Monsoon or Sam's boss fight sequence.

They way Vergil says "Danteee" at 7:47 gives me chills every time. Like, god, it feels like literal anime fight. It's even better that you're the one controlling the character. Capcom should've made it his boss theme from the very beginning it's just too good. I mean The Duel is good, but it just sits in one place a lot. This one has actual progression and it becomes just godly at the end.

I don't think there's a need to apologise for rusty gameplay here, the way this entire fight was framed, with the music as well, is what I love to see, a fight that looks and feels equal between Dante and Vergil rather than a no damage S rank stomp. The fight, the cuts, how the music lines up and changes with phases, the transition into 3:07 being a particular gem, this was a fantastic watch.

How ironic, without actually desiring it, you've created the best Dante vs Vergil battle on TH-cam. Seeing Vergil destroyed does nothing for me, since I love this game and its story. On the other hand, I think I've watched this video about twenty times. Everything about it fits so perfectly, even the flaws in your gameplay add to the beauty of the fight between the sons of Sparda.

I love how, by taking some damage here and there, this looks like an actual fight in contrast to the Vergil curb stomps I've seen from players like Donguri. Don't get me wrong, I love Donguri and his content to bloody pieces, but you made this battle feel more impactful, cinematic, and just alive overall. And the music to play in sync with Vergil's Devil Trigger activations while using Dante's Devil Triggers in sync with Vergil's to make the fight show them as actual equals rather than Dante just using his Devil Trigger for style is the type of thing that makes me say "Finally, some good fucking food."

The contrasting red and blue lights from all their attacks and their DTs look incredible in the darkened backdrop, and it goes so well with the chorus of the song
I like the "semi-pro" gameplay you've brought to the table. See, SmvR, Donguiri, and Koudai T are amazing at this game, but they don't visualize the struggle. This still looks cool, and, in my opinion, is more in the spirit of DMC.

I also love how Dante hardly runs at all. He does all kinds of actions in order to move but not running. Stingers, acrobatic flips, air dashes, teleportation, the works.
This moment stood out for me the most. Holy shit...it’s beautiful! And it’s my fav part of the theme!!

I wish there was such thing as an adaptive bossfight. Keeps things fresh.
When you first fight the boss it has a limited moveset, but as you progress into the fight they reveal more moves and get tougher to beat, reacting to how fast you’ve damaged them etc

It's not his normal DT it's his Sin Devil Trigger
@@griffingower1883 for vergil his normal DT and sin DT are one in the same. Same as dantes it's just that we were introduced to the dt gauge before dante got sin in game is why we can switch between the 2. Story wise they both have only used one devil trigger onwards. Plus cutscene dante goes into sin and holds it s lot more casually

@@griffingower1883 it is his new dt and only dt they dont keep old DTs once they've upgraded. The sin dt is just a name to differentiate between dantes DT earlier in the game and sin. That's why in game files it says vergils devil trigger. The whole sin dt is just game mechanics vs actual canon. Both dante and vergil now only have 1 DT the two new ones they got in the game
I really love the way you sort of choreographed this whole thing. You're fighting sloppily, making mistakes, and it adds so much to it because it makes it really feel like an all-out desperate struggle between the two twins, frustrated at how one of them won't just kneel over and die already. It's visceral and it's awesome.

I know that 3:08 is godly but dude, at 7:41 to 7:51 is just so damn good. The way Vergil goes hardcore at the brink of losing especially that sphere he summons around himself where he slices everything inside. This fight scene was more than perfect, thanks a lot for making such a video dude!!

Dont get me wrong٫ i love the duel. But it felt just a little underwhelming for a huge concluding fight to the death for two powerful brothers who have been at war for years. but this٫ this is fucking epic.
I think the music is just perfect for this fight. Especially the end clash. DMC isn't known for its emotional depth but it truly is hard hitting stuff. 2 brothers traumatized young and both handled it in different ways. It truly is sad to see that in this final battle they were truly willing to kill each other despite being all they had left.
Gotta say how I love this is a back and forth fight, not just Dante dominating the whole thing. This is anime bullshit to the max and I loved every moment of it, except maybe the ending.
8:06 is when you feel true power as Virgil just look over at dante in his knees while Virgil is rushed with dominance and pleasure that he finally fulfilled his dream to defeat his twin brother then looks up at the sky and takes a long sigh exhausted to his limit as he recalls all the memory's of him being humiliated by dante but now he done it as looks at dante he realizes that something was wrong he realized that he was never lost nor won a fight he just couldn't except that he was too weak to save his mother he then slumps to the ground realizing he truly messed up and that the damage was done he lost his humanity that his mother loved so much amd now he gonna kill his very last person that's related to him "what have i've done "Virgil says to himself "there's no way i can truly make up all this childish anger that i had for all these years" he says as he staeres at yamato realizing that it was his own sons arm he quickly throws yamato away in disgust "there is a way to make up for all the bullshit you've cost" dante groans as he sits right next to his broken brother "really and what will that be" virgil says as he covers his face in despair "you really are dumb as you strong" dante chuckles as he quickly grabs his waist in pain not fully healed yet "you had a son that you didn't know you have for all these years and on top of that you cut off his arm too so an apology will get you in the right step if you ask me" as nero runs of the steps to see dante and Virgil sitting next to each other peacefully "perhaps your right" Virgil say as he uncovers his face "or perhaps im have a little bit of humanity left to confront the wrongdoings i have done in this world and finally i can show the world that a devil could cry one day" as the song slowly pans out
