2000s MPVs review: Car-based Citroën Xsara Picasso compared to Van-based Fiat Dobló. Which is best?

The MPV (MultiPurpose Vehicle) was the mainstay of early 2000s family motoring. Now 20 years on, how have they aged and are they still viable means of reliable cheap transport? I take a look at two versions: a van-based Fiat Doblo, and a car-based Citroen Xsara Picasso and see how they compare in terms of practicality and driving characteristics.
