Cool video. Its fun seeing the different things people are doing for enclosures. Moving the control board is something I dont see people doing, but that made a ton of sense to me.

    Have a Question
I downloaded your file for the spoil board threaded inserts. was wondering what you set the spoil board on and maybe how thick was it so you did not cut into the machine bed Thanks Jeff

I usually use a piece of 1/4 ply and throw under it.

One of the nicest enclosers I've seen.
Are you active in the Shapeoko Facebook community. You should really post links to your videos in the group. I've been a avid TH-cam enthusiast on the Shapeoko for well over a year and just found your channel today.
Your videos are top notch and could benefit tons of people....... they just need to know about them!!
    Keep up the awesome work!!

I have not joined any groups on Facebook. Which group would you suggest? I started making the videos because there was not a lot of help out there for beginners. Most videos assumed you were an advanced user. I wanted to make videos that would help other novice learn from my mistakes. And yes, I’m not great at the video editing, but getting better.

Nice video.... may I ask you what kind of wood are you using with cnc projects? and did u use mdf to make that cross?

I use mdf, oak, and poplar. And a little pine. I use mostly mdf on my first projects. If I sell them, I usually use oak or poplar.

Very Nice Enclosure . I just bought a Mr Heater for my garage and the only place to mount it to the ceiling was right over the Shapeoko So I am looking to do something.
Do you see any difference in your CNC now that you have upgrades to the HDZ

I added a 2.2kw spindle, so I needed the beefier Z axis. It’s been great.

HDZ is pretty straightforward. Carbide has a step by step here docs.carbide3d.com/assembly/HDZ3_3/HDZ_v3.3.pdf
There is also a video link in that guide. I still have the original limit switches so I can’t help you there. They look pretty easy though. Let me know if you run into trouble.

would it be too much to ask of u to take a picture or two of the way you have your dust hose connected to the top of your pent house showing the swivel and how it is attached to the hdz. I need to put a top over my Shapeoko because of mounting heater to the ceiling right above it
      Thanks Jeff
