It is actually a feature given for ease. At traffic lights you can put it on neutral without pressing the trigger and remove your foot off the brake.

there should be a system where unless there is a driver sitting in the driver seat the gear leaver shouldn't allow you to change it from neutral or park, any ways there is a weight detector built in the seat for the seatbelt warning. and in cars costing above 15 lakhs should come with an electronic parking break in automatic cars.

@@mahir6239 for that we can’t really do anything, the weight limit should be a bit higher like 28-30 kilos or they should allow us the adjust it according to the common drivers, case some time female drivers are like 35 kilos and kids who r like 10 years old easily are more than that so making a flexible weight restriction would be a good idea. But it’s mostly the parents look out that they don’t do anything of that sort

I have dzire with amt which when acceleratored moves and xuv500 and fortuner with torque converter which moves automatically once it gets into D....but in both my suv's, the gear engages only after pressing the brake pedal where as in desire gear can be shifted without pressing brake pedal.

Fault toh hai. Meri Rapid me bhi TC tha but without brakes shift nhi hoti gaadi once the engine is start. Aur even brakes ke baad bhi bina button dabaye bhi shift nhi hoti thi. This is really a safety issue. Kya XUV700 me bhi yehi system hai ? Can you confirm it Arun.

में xuv300 w6 amt 2021 own करता हूँ, उसमे इसी कोई प्रॉब्लम नहीं है, अगर gear change करना है तो break pedal दबाना पड़ता है फिर चाहे आप neutral करो या reverse ya automatic, बिना break pedal दबाये kuch नही होता।
