your explaination is excellent MATO thanks for uploading I watched every video (almost) upload by you plz upload more videos your explaination is good keepit up.....
+Exilyhr Now....if you could only find the killer moves without anyone TELLING YOU there's one to be found -- you'll be doing very well. When you can SET UP the killer moves, then you'll be doing as well as Judit...
She has, at least in the few games I've seen, shown a daring that is similar to Tal's. Her playing level, at least on the ELO scale, is just south of 2700. Not bad. Tal was just north of 2700. No, she is not Tal. Neither was Fischer. Tal is a legend for very good reason. So I'll try to not be stupid and I won't take you seriously.
Tal died in 1992, all the people you're all talking about were born way before that, and you commenters should be idiots if you took Locutus his comment serious...
@ 1:18 why wouldn't the black queen take the bishop on b5? once the knight moved to c4 it was no longer defending the b5 bishop and it was ripe for the taking? why would the queen retreat from that?
Judith Polgar is considered the best female ever. She had the advantage of having Bobby Fischer as her teacher, (he lived with the family) She wasn't some random kid who picked up the game (like Capablanca) she and her two sisters were groomed by her father to be the best female players ever, and it worked...
Man i would love to get tutored by Judit. Her play style is gorgeous, Every game i've seen her play, She check mates super early no matter the costs and just strikes fear and shock into her opponents.
Doesn't the pawn on g2 at 4:41 to g4 win too? The queen has to move away from the bishop which allows the white bishop to move to f6 and then queen to g7.
that was the move i saw as well..takes 1 more move though i think.. Seems Judith's is more elegant :) If anyone sees a problem with the g4 move, could u explain it in the replies please? (for those of us who are to noobish to see)
guys help me out min 1:17 why should he not eat bishop??? no defender i see! maybe blunder by the little girl and her opponent, or i am missing something? please help!
+Jordan Perez I would think Bxf6 anyway, presumably RxB, then white plays Re8+ and black has a choice of Rf8 or Kf7, but for either white plays Qf8 checkmate.
Good move could also be Pawn g4 chasing the queen, Queen f3, rook e3, leaving no real option for the queen to counter the checkmate or losing the queen, right ?
At 3:40, why didnt he use pawn at f6 , then bishop under attack and if he takes swap bishop with rook and if queen takes bishop, place queen at f5 and then swap queens or atleast be safe for the moment
I ALWAYS enjoy your videos, sir. I also noticed that you stopped short of showing that lovely Q/K fork from the Knight dance (I think at move 9?) I will forever be more careful when playing against 12 year olds... d=^))
not to destroy your hope and dreams, but Judith Polgar has a 2675 rating, and is ranked top 75 players in the world. don't let me discourage you, keep practicing.
Pausing at 4:14, I'd say the killer move is white queen takes black rook. Black king is forced to take the white queen. White bishop to H6. The black king is forced to G8. White rook to E8 mate.
@Matthew Faulknor nah it's more fun to do it that way, leaving a comment. it's a personal thing but if you've got a problem with cheating / discipline then it helps...
WGM jennifer Shaddade from St. Louis chess club also explains this game on youtube. Note that the move order of first Qh6 and then Bf6 (or threating) is very important. If first Bf6, black plays Qh5 and wins.
Rae1 is not a typo. If the score would read Re1 it would not be clear which Rook you move to the e-file. If you move the other Rook the score should be 14.Rfe1.
In 1986 she was in Adelaide and beat international Master for the first time and she was only 10 years old. A year later 11 years old she beat a Grandmaster for the first time. :o
your explaination is excellent MATO
thanks for uploading
I watched every video (almost) upload by you
plz upload more videos
your explaination is good keepit up.....
Thank you for your comment
Hi Aalia would u like to play with me.
Umesh Khanna Lol I bet you want her to play with you.
+Aalia Rose You look beautiful
+MatoJelic mato the playa
I watch his video because of two reasons.
1. Hi this is MAttO
2. U can pause this video.
😂😂
so when i was told I play like a 12 year-old girl... it was a compliment?
+A Ahearn if only every 12 year-old
play like Judit polgar
then it is :D
If u were playin' like a 12 year old Judith, then yes.
lol
"If to 'play like a girl' meant anything in chess, it would mean relentless aggression." - Kasparov
At 12 years I could only give Check !
Perfect foreshadow by white and perfect explanation by matojelic!!! My heart beats fast everytime i watch a video from this man!
yes i found the killer move. so proud of myself :) very good videos mato!
+Exilyhr I am proud of you
thank you so much. i love your videos. greetings from germany :)
+Exilyhr Now....if you could only find the killer moves without anyone TELLING YOU there's one to be found -- you'll be doing very well. When you can SET UP the killer moves, then you'll be doing as well as Judit...
+Exilyhr so did a 12 year old xD
Yay me too :D
But as the others said, it's easy when you know there is one killer move :)
another gem brought to public and as usual great commentary by Mato!
I swear that Tal has come back to life as Judit!!!
I agree. She's a killer.
So I'll try to not be stupid and I won't take you seriously.
solosaroman nice bait mate
Tal died in 1992, all the people you're all talking about were born way before that, and you commenters should be idiots if you took Locutus his comment serious...
You are seriously thinking, he or we trust in next lives? :-)
I PAUSED the video ....and I did not find the winning move.
Lol
seanpierpont I didn't pause it, and I STILL didn't find the winning move!
+seanpierpont I found something vaguely similar but not that exact move
and it was ?
+seanpierpont I also tried to find the killer move and had to give up
Hvala vam Mato, fenomenalan potez! Bas sam mislio puno ali ga nisam video. Postovanje.
Really enjoy your succinct presentation of games
Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and a year full of blessings
Hi, Matto,it is only through your morish excellent videos that I have learnt about Judit.Thank you for your excellent videos.missodo.
I found the killer move after studying the board for a long time. Very nice piece of learning!
I think this is your best presentation of a game. excellent work.
Thanks Mato, view months ago I started as a noob. Thanks to u, now I allmost find every killer move in your videos
I really enjoyed this superb game..THANK YOU friend😚
Great videos, great games..i like the question and answer bits.
Thanks to you Mato for the selected games, wonderful!
Mato - I love your commentary on all of your videos. It helps me learn
I love ur voice. it reminds me of my grandfather. A different era.
Thank you Suzi
That was nice! I've always liked games of Judit. Very clever gal.
Hi, Mato. I finally created a TH-cam account just so that I could give "likes" to your great videos. This was indeed a good game by Judit Polgar.
@ 1:18 why wouldn't the black queen take the bishop on b5? once the knight moved to c4 it was no longer defending the b5 bishop and it was ripe for the taking? why would the queen retreat from that?
As always a wonderful video. Cheers mato! You really have helped my game. And not bad from the little girl either!
Judith Polgar is considered the best female ever. She had the advantage of having Bobby Fischer as her teacher, (he lived with the family) She wasn't some random kid who picked up the game (like Capablanca) she and her two sisters were groomed by her father to be the best female players ever, and it worked...
I love all your games!! :) Thanks for everything!!
Man i would love to get tutored by Judit. Her play style is gorgeous, Every game i've seen her play, She check mates super early no matter the costs and just strikes fear and shock into her opponents.
Why would Blacks Queen not take the light squared bishop on B5 at 1:19?
+felske5 leads to a queen king fork by white's knight with ND6
Thank you
1:00 "Lets go back... ... ... pawn takes pawn" what did you say there i can't tell?
+Davy Ker "Book move is"
+jack moorw Ah! Not a phrase I've heard before but I can guess what it means.
+Davy Ker Book move, just refers to known theory. A standard move, if you prefer to think of it that way.
arupian666
that's what i thought. like in poker, you might call it GTO "game theory optimal"
It sounds like "let's go back... Book (black) move is... Pawn takes pawn"
4:30 , how about white pawn G4 ?
Peter Chikov Thanx!
+Takadatsu If 1. g4 then 1 ... Qxg4+ 2. Kh1 Qf3+ 3. Kg1 Qg4+ and there will be perpetual check
Love the dramatic check mate at the ends
Brilliant. I wonder though if 17. Re4 could have worked, too... I believe it is slower, but leads to the same result.
Mato. at 1:18 white's bishop is en prize in that variation. ah I see the knight fork... why u no mention?
Because it was so obvious. Lol
in the variation at 1:18, why would the queen not just take bishop at B5?
really enjoyed... thanks Mato !!!
Mind blowing ! A beautiful game with a tactical endgame.
(for those of us who are to noobish to see)
if g4 then Qxg4+ Kh1 Qf3+ Kg1 Qg4+ draw by perpetual check.
Thanks
guys help me out
min 1:17 why should he not eat bishop??? no defender i see!
maybe blunder by the little girl and her opponent, or i am missing something? please help!
+Rotem Assa Knight to d6 on the next move after queen captures the bishop would fork the king and the queen, winning the queen
This was POTD on CG's the other day , nice game by Judit .
Nice one Mato! Love Judit! :)
It's so frustrating to watch these videos and not be able to stare at the board and find the traps. Learned a lot though.
ever heard of a pause button
George Heath ikr
Very nice game! One of my favorites.
wow. Outstanding play!
Can someone explain to me why at 1:18 the black queen didn't take the white white square bishop?
if queen takes on b5 then night to d6, forking king and queen. King would have to move, so white wins the queen
Ah! Thank you Stefan. As you can tell, I have still got a lot to learn about chess '^^
At 1:17, why wouldn't the queen capture the bishop? Once the knight moved to attack the queen, the bishop wasn't supported at all...... ??
asked and answered (several times alreay lol). leads to a kngiht fork on k and q, black loses q
I don't scroll through comments
Thank you for leting me know. Problem is fixed now.
1:18 whats wrong with black queen taking the bishop on c5?
4:01 Why can't you protect the f6 square by moving pawn to f5??
because Bf6, threatening mate on g7. if Rxf6 or Rf7 then Re8+, Rf8, Rxf8#
after f5 Bf6 if Rxf6 Re8+ Kf7 then Qf8#
At 1:19 why not play Qxb5 and take the bishop instead of taking black queen back?
oops.. should have seen that.. thanks Mato. Its nice to know that u even answer dumb questions. Really appreciate your efforts..:-)
hi mato im new in chess and you do perfect job.i admire you.at 1.18 why cant qoueen capture bishoop???
@Mato can g4 be a killa move at 4:05??
By the way I love the way you say KILLA move :-)
What would have happened if instead of blocking the bishop with the queen (at the end) black had played pound f7 to f6?
+Jordan Perez I would think Bxf6 anyway, presumably RxB, then white plays Re8+ and black has a choice of Rf8 or Kf7, but for either white plays Qf8 checkmate.
This girl is a force to be reckoned with! She now is one of the top players in the world, male or female, and it's not very hard to see why!
great video mato you do fantastic videos I have seen all
Good move could also be Pawn g4 chasing the queen, Queen f3, rook e3, leaving no real option for the queen to counter the checkmate or losing the queen, right ?
if g4 then Qxg4+ Kh1 Qf3+ Kg1 Qg4+ draw by perpetual check.
Oh ! Nice thanks !
4:53 Rook to e8 - checkmate.
What a nice chess lyrics from Mato!
The very best at all times!
Judit was 12 years old............ unbelievable. I still cannot imagine her kind of thinking.
at 1:22...y did the black queen didn't took the bishop at b6
ikr?
if queen takes bishop then knight on c4 to d6 with check winning the queen
Paul Culhane thnx
At 3:40, why didnt he use pawn at f6 , then bishop under attack and if he takes swap bishop with rook and if queen takes bishop, place queen at f5 and then swap queens or atleast be safe for the moment
Oh nvm would have been check mate either way.
Suhrit Pradhan it would have been checkmate anyway with Bxf6 suppose, then Rg8xBf6...Re to e8+..Rf6tof8 defending...ThenRooks exchange Qh4 to g6
Why Qc7 instead of Qxb5? I mean in that theoretical variation of pawn taking in the middle instead of Knight?
I ALWAYS enjoy your videos, sir. I also noticed that you stopped short of showing that lovely Q/K fork from the Knight dance (I think at move 9?)
I will forever be more careful when playing against 12 year olds...
d=^))
that was beautiful. I can only wish to be that good some day.
not to destroy your hope and dreams, but Judith Polgar has a 2675 rating, and is ranked top 75 players in the world. don't let me discourage you, keep practicing.
jack mayhoff is ur name really that or a is it a dad joke like jack myoff...hugh jarsol..
I like your videos because you teach us well sir :-)
I get very happy when I find out the *KILLER MOVES* on my own 😄
Was it just a mistake( and after messing up she saw the variation), or was it her plan from the begining?
At 1:17, queen doesn't take bishop?
asked and answered several times lol. If QxB, then Nd6, 3-way fork including black K and Q, Black loses Q
Mato : thanks for this video (and all the others I've already seen)
At 1:18 after Nc4 why not just Qxb5?
If g4? then Qxg4 and black would have perpetual check
Didn't see that killer move coming! 12 years old! I'll never be that good.
I watched this again. Of all the 12 yr old prodigies (Fischer, Magnus, Spassky), I think Polgar was the most elegant player.
wait wait wait at 4:15 before black moves Qf5 why not move f5 better defense am i missing something?
1:18 Why doesn't the black queen capture the bishop?
then knight would go to D4 and check
at 1:18, why couldn't black queen take b6???
hey mato can you tell me if its important which rook judith place on e1 ?
At 1.20, when queen is at b6 (qb6), why can't it capture white bishop (qxb -b5).
+bhavani shankar Chappa ND6+
Pausing at 4:14, I'd say the killer move is white queen takes black rook. Black king is forced to take the white queen. White bishop to H6. The black king is forced to G8. White rook to E8 mate.
@Matthew Faulknor nah it's more fun to do it that way, leaving a comment. it's a personal thing but if you've got a problem with cheating / discipline then it helps...
No. It's mate in 3. Because of Bxf6 followed by Re8
Bxf6 Rxf6 Re8+ Kf7 Qf8# (or Bxf6 Rxf6 Re8+ Rf8 Qxf8#)
Haha yes! There are so many of examples in that big huge book. She must have been very familiar with this position.
How can people see these amazing moves? Its unreal.
the moral of this story is never to play with little girls because they can embarrass u
any reason why she moved the A Rook, not the F rook?
great vid again, thanks so much!
WGM jennifer Shaddade from St. Louis chess club also explains this game on youtube. Note that the move order of first Qh6 and then Bf6 (or threating) is very important. If first Bf6, black plays Qh5 and wins.
On move 14, what does "Rae1" mean? Is that a typo? Should it be "Re1" ?
Rae1 is not a typo. If the score would read Re1 it would not be clear which Rook you move to the e-file. If you move the other Rook the score should be 14.Rfe1.
Ah, I see. Thanks.
In 1986 she was in Adelaide and beat international Master for the first time and she was only 10 years old. A year later 11 years old she beat a Grandmaster for the first time. :o
Judit Polgár was born in July 23, 1976,
Best mate i saw in last few months
Great game as usual Mato!
brilliant trap
1:18 Queen capture B5 ?????????
Best title ever for a chess video
Your voice is the best to watch this videos
Thank you.
I AM FROM THESSALONIKI AND I FOUND THE KILLAH MOVE! IM SO HAPPY!
Instead of q-f5, what if black had played pawn to f6?
