Early 2000s brings to memory AILD, ABR, Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage, Haste the Day, Caliban, all that remains, norma jean, the devil wears prada, miss may I, evergreen terrace if you know bands like these ones today: please share with me
As much as I do enjoy the modern core sound with the djent/thall influence and atmospheric production, this era/subgenre of metalcore is still absolutely my fave. The riffing, rawness, and overall vibe is unparalleled. Loving Dying Wish and especially Boundaries these days, hoping to see them on tour towards the end of the year.
If we speak about early 00’s - Frail Worlds Collapse If all 00s just don’t know, too many contenders, mb Constellations / An Ocean Between Us / The Poison
The Final Episode by Asking Alexandria, lmao. I grew up with that and I can`t relate with older metalcore bands except for Poison The Well`s "December" or Misery Signals "Of Malice" But holy sht, Dying Wish, Seeyouspacecowboy and Boundaries carry that sound so much and they`re some of my fav bands. This is also my fav Dying Wish song so far
This video's title is 100% accurate. Fantastic. Giving Dying Wish another listen after this amazing single. Definitely KsE first comes to mind when hearing metalcore. OG.
for me it's either The End of Heartache or The Fall of Ideals, although early 2000's metalcore isn't my favorite, I was definitely a product of the MySpace metalcore like Stand Up and Scream. DYING WISH AND BOUNDARIES SMACK THOUGH
Bands like Dying Wish, Boundaries and Foreign Hand are doing God's work bringing that raw, melodic 00s style. It sounds so fresh.
i missed this specific sound and Boundaries definitely got me excited that its finally coming back, 2000s metalcore is definitely THE SHIT
What's wild is Dying Wish just went on a headliner and took all those bands out on tour 🔥
Saw them on their run all together so fucking sick live
Killing me Soflty, Cauldron, Float Omen, Fragile Body
The one definitive 2000s metalcore album that comes to my mind first is Constellations by ABR
Messengers>>>>
Of Malice by Misery Signals or Jane Doe by Converge solos
Dying Wish DESERVE more attention they do classic metalcore so well

I never really got into Norma Jean, but everything else you listed is like 90% of my daily playlist.
Bullet for my Valentine the poison is what I think about or that first all that remains album
mixed with unearth I 100% agree
Literally just about to put this on now because that's what came to mind

Dude, you explained it perfectly
End of Heartache
Shadow Are Security
Fall of Ideals
Deliver Us
Has to be All That Remains for me. TFOI and Overcome are still and always will be planted in my top 10 albums.
For me it's the poison by billet for my valentine
Old Escape the Fate vibes off the rip to me, then right into Motionless in White, then into 2000s metalcore
:O

An Ocean Between Us would be my pick for the ultimate 00's metalcore album
for me it's either The End of Heartache or The Fall of Ideals, although early 2000's metalcore isn't my favorite, I was definitely a product of the MySpace metalcore like Stand Up and Scream. DYING WISH AND BOUNDARIES SMACK THOUGH
Absolutely love the production on there new work… same producer as Boundaries
Waking the fallen by Avenged Sevenfold for sure
This is DW’s best song. So good.
Reminds me of “Armageddon” by Boundaries at least the guitar tone & structure
I think early metalcore and think of abr no album in particular but yeh abr
This song is really good, lol. Off to Spotify I go..
Her screams sound more visceral in these new singles compared to Fragments
for me it’s alive or just breathing by kse
Deadlands - House Of Cards when?
I'll be honest in saying i dont even exactly like early 2000s metalcore, but i love boundaries and dying wish
