Love the video! I also have about $12k in Fundrise right now in their income eReit, returning about 8-9% annual return. It’s very steady and good money but I’m not actively contributing more because the money is taxed pretty high compared to stocks and the returns have been decreasing over time - used to be 11% return when I first started
Matt Gagnon yes true! Only thing is that I can’t easily pull the money out if I really needed it (vs savings account) so that’s why I would like a higher return - to accommodate the risk

Thanks for this video Ryan. Always feels like you are genuinely trying to provide value rather than just creating videos for the sake of it like many in this space
Awesome! We started roughly right around the same time, mine being April 2018. I initially put in $1000 and just let it sit there for a full year too before I became comfortable and started putting in $100 a month. In total, I put in $2100 and the value now is $2288.87. I am happy and comfortable with this small little growth of 8%. And just like you said, the stock market may do better some years but I just like having this extra bit of cushion.
Thanks ryan. Idk if everyone wants a quarterly update on your Fundrise portfolio but I'd like maybe an update every 6 months; that being said this is meant for long term investors so defintely no rush.
@@RyanScribner Yup! I still have it in my account to this day. I'm focusing on funding my robinhood though as my gains there are much more higher. I also did some math at one point around February of 2019 and found out if I had purchased $1000 of $O instead and held it for an entire year, by money alone without withdrawal fees from fundrise, $O and Fundrise would gain approximately the same amount. Then as the year went by, it looked like $O would've made the best Roi after all fees accounted for.
