I feel like all of old Minecraft felt like a liminal space like when we were 8 mining in a dark tunnel with the old music and lighting
I feel the same way, if you don’t play with friends and don’t have a pet then with the old darkness and not knowing how to play, it feels very scary and in a way liminal.
And that’s why I still play my good ol Xbox one edition

I mean I never tried any spaces to any traumatic memories, my brain erased my neurons as soon as I experienced too much stress.

I get this feeling when a room feels misaligned or something. Or get that weird static emotional feeling I cannot describe.
I'm very impressed that minecraft added some new resources that makes forget the loneliness, but, if we stop for a sec, and look to a landscape that the game can not render without the intention of admiring it, the loneliness returns...
reminds me of those old faction and survival servers where u see structures previous players placed. Empty and void of life. Still calming, since its like a snapshot of another player memories.
Good memories.... Can't believe I have such nice memories of something i used to play in my childhood in a very short life, which will probably be gone one day. Some random memories of a random life, lost to time.. never to be found again.

What works completely fine for Liminal Minecraft places is something like a House from an old world but abandoned (all in over the older versions of minecraft feel Liminal)

This sort of applies to all liminal spaces, but there's something almost underlyingly Romantic about these.
