Lovely sounding EP's! One of the nicest I've heard with physical modelling.
Also, congrats on the 70k!!!
cheers Xav!
The dynamic sound changes are amazing.
Great playing as always Woods. The look of this instrument is beautiful and sounds great as well. Glad we are so spoiled for choice these days
great demo as always! including playing around the tripod!
Awesome demonstration
HAPPY 70K SUBS TO YOU! HAPPY 70K SUBS TO YOU! HAPPY 70,000 SUBSCRIBERS, WOODY... HAPPY 70K SUBS TO YOU! 🎆🎈🍰🍻
hip hip hooray!
Great video. Do you have any reviews of NI coming up? I'm curious of some of these newer libraries like Fables, Vocal Colors, Icon Bass, and Choir Omnia
I like a lot modeling. It will grow as a simulation technology while sampling cannot.
Today it can seem sometimes not exactly suited for waht you are looking for, but the involvement you get while playing is always better than the one you get with sampling.
good point, it's not just about how realistic it sounds, but how satisfying, expressive and enjoyable to play in person!
6:08 It's called failing gracefully 😉 Don't worry about it! We still love your in-depth presentations, showcasing gear and musical medleys of standards as well. 👍
To that guy in red:
"Pshk! Go away!" 😾👉🚪
I've bought the GT model last week, thank to your good reviews about sounds... I was uncertain about model (88 with Tp110 or wood) and I decided for the GT one model for a complete good experience!
wow, congrats! make sure to check out dr mix excellent fatar factory tour.
@@WoodyPianoShack yes truly italian pride. 😍
NEEEXT!
11:14 I was almost expecting a rendition of Styx's "Babe"
I've got the Numa Compact 2x, because I don't like the weighted keys on the bigger units. Sad that it's only samples though!
Congratulations, very well presented! For some time I have been thinking of buying Sudiologic SL Grand Piano or Studiologic Numa X Piano. I have only one doubt about the noise that, some say, the keys of this instrument would make. I look forward to your opinion. Thank you. Maximum success in everything you do!
Hi, the TP/110LR keybed has significantly reduced noise compared to the TP/100LR. Listen to the comparison of these two keyboards, it's from 2 minutes : 45 seconds in this video:

@@michalpetrilak3976 Thank you for answer. All the best to you !
it's not quieter, nor louder than any of the other weighted hammer action keyboards I've played, probably leaning towards the quieter side. these piano actions always seems to have some clunk to them.
Woody, I have really been enjoying your reviews. I am looking for a board which has: (1). A Goerge Duke-ish EP, (2) A M. McDonald EP like 'Minute by Minute', (3) A 'Baby I love your way' EP, a (4) 'Hold the Line' CP, and (5) a Bruce Hornsby 'Valley Road' piano. All that cut through nicely in a live mix. Any suggestions? As you can tell, I like dynamics!
some great taste in music and artists, but I think any modern workstation synth, or stage keyboard would cover the sounds equally well with some tweaking.
Ha ha ! Good you mention key off noise! I think that should be a requirement to duplicate the e. piano! Its not perfect but close! Do a side by side comparison with a real mechanic one versus the electronic version😀
Hello Woody i have been watching your videos awesome videos.. but a quick question on that numa is it possible to have 2 layered than split to have a bass sound on the left portion of the keyes. i ask because i had the compact it could layer 2 sounds but could not split to have a bass part and the layered part played at the same time . I play at a church and there are times i have to play the bass part on the keyboard when my bass player cant make it so i kind of like the fact it has 73 keyes and sounds pretty good.....
i have not tried but i am sure you can have 4 sounds split and layered how you wish. check manual to be safe!
Thank you Woody i don’t have the keyboard yet since i know most keyboards do in fact split and layer sounds with no problem. I do like the fact the numa comes in 73 keys which for me is great 😎
What is the name of the first song again @ 1:09 - 1:40?
Update: The intro to "Purple Rain" by Prince, it sounds like
No desire to credit the original artist? It's clearly a populat 70s or 80s song, I just can't pinpoint it. I think it is the intro part to that popular song
Physical modeling EPs always sound weak in the high range to me. That goes for the EP-1 engine in the Kronos too.
I wouldn’t say always, if you edit the parameters right, you can minimize the parts of the sound that are more artificial sounding up there
@@marvinkmooneyoz - it’s not that they’re metallically artificial, it’s that there is not enough hammer attack at the upper range.
Pretty sure the Wurlitzer reeds are metal, it’s that they are square shaped as opposed to round as with Rhodes tines
interesting, they are often called "reed pianos" to avoid using trademark wurlitzer, i wonder why.
Great job but how about wooly bully watch it now 😮
Too bad he didn't show how to save the modified sound parameters. Maybe the free computer app is used.
Ok, I want one:..numa x 73...if only i could re-unite w/ the band @thepsalmbirds thx Woody!
